    I dont know the context with the Dortmund one but to me it looks just like an ordinary away game where most people arrive by train at the same time or they had a meeting point if they were arriving by car...from the trainstation you walk together to the game. That's it, happens all the time. Still impressive tough, Dortmund has good fans.

      Looks like Brugge (Belgium). Away fans from European teams usually gather on the main Market Square and get escorted to the stadium by police.

    Context is, they won nothing, they are just Dortmund fans travelling to the stadium (away game) in Brugges. That is no parade, if u want parade, watch videos of Buenos Aires streets after Messi won the World Cup with Argentina. 5-7 million people in the streets

    There’s definitely some bias here as I’ve seen some half decent American fan videos (nowhere near the level of Europe but good for America) but I think it’s just a fun way to show the difference between money and passion, European fans put their life and soul into their club, it’s not just about the day out, it’s about the club, the badge, the culture, the history and the heritage, it’s about intimidating your opponent into a mistake and the opposition fans are doing the same.
    Football in Europe is so much more than a match.
    I don’t want you to take this as a dig at Americans as such but it seems to me like American fans are there for a day out with the family. There’s lots of other comparisons that are easy to make but I think one that sticks out is the sheer amount the American sports teams milk their fans for money, the NFL for example, it statistically has less playing time than the damn adverts, and American fans accept that as normal, if in Europe tv companies or if clubs at half time started showing 15-20+ minutes of advertisements there would be a civil war. Don’t get me wrong teams in Europe are trying their best to squeeze the pockets but nowhere near the level of sports in the USA.
    Money vs passion.

  • @DW-py4up
    @DW-py4up Před 7 měsíci +4

    Sir respectfully, you can use college football, nba parades whatever you your mind could think of. NOTHING America has sports wise can compare. Even the basketball fans in Europe make Americans look silly. Have a look for yourself it’s all on CZcams.

    football started in the UK, 1863, 90 years after US gained independance from us brits, that aside, im talking all levels, from children to adults, in a country that will fit in one of your states with room to spare, we support local teams, its in our, and its no different across europe and the world,
    40,000 association teams
    Football is the most popular sport in England, where the first modern set of rules for the code were established in 1863, which were a major influence on the development of the modern Laws of the Game. With over 40,000 association football clubs, England has more clubs involved in the code than any other country.but this is no different to european countries, cant remember how many i think its 27 in eurpoean union, i could be wrong as some are part of the common market, how many teams play football in the US, from child to adult, in 50 states
    where you can times 40000 by lets say 20 in europe,
    we have a saying, there is your wife children and family, then there is religion, then there is football

    Why don't they do this in the US? It's simple, the difference is tens to hundreds of years of culture and fanaticism. In the USA, parties pay a ticket to go see the players, play and see a show.

      @ricardopires8874 Před 7 měsíci
