Amandine Buchard captured the European title in 2021 in Lisbon and bagged a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games. She won cadet world bronze at her 16th. She won World Junior bronze in 2013 and the World Junior title in 2014. Later she took World bronze in Chelyabinsk and in 2018 in Baku. Amandine won 24 World Cup medals. IJF World Ranking Leader since 2018. Silver at the 2018 and 2019 IJF World Masters but gold in 2021. Grand Prix Marrakech gold and Grand Slam Baku in 2019 and Budapest in 2020. She started 2022 with a victory at the Grand Slam in Paris.

Japanese judoka Abe Uta became Olympic Champion at Tokyo 2020. She was World Champion in 2018 at the same day as her brother Hifumi Abe like the 2020 Olympics. In 2019 she prolonged the world title in Tokyo. Abe was already Junior World Champion in 2017. She won the Grand Slam of Paris in 2018. She took gold at the Grand Slam Osaka in 2018. In 2017 she won in Düsseldorf in 2020 and 2017 as youngest ever winner of a IJF World Tour event. She won the World Junior Mixed Team Championships in 2017. World Mixed team gold in Tokyo in 2019. She claimed the victory at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022.
