Joseph Williams was/is lead vocalist on Till the End while this is their first lead Bobby Kimball. Pretty easy to tell this was before autotune, all natural awesomeness! Saw them in 2000 in Vegas for the Mindfields tour (with backstage passes) and it was awesome!!

There was no autotune in that concert. Kimball did very well in 2002-2003. I've had the CD/DVD of TOTOS 25TH ANNIVERSARY for 20 yrs. Bobby Kimball vocally owns this song. Joe Williams is good but doesn't have Kimballs range or soulfullness.😮
Toto are from over your side of the pond Nic ! Originally from LA (1977) We wish they were ours !! One of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion. Loving seeing them on the channel... Thank you ! This was from their 25th anniversary concert in 2003 so singer was Bobby Kimball.. drummer was Simon Phillips....

Toto is a band from California and they are the best band live.Should be in the rock and roll hall of fame for sure!
Scintillating!!! How good are they? Lead vocalist Bobby Kimball performing here was the original lead vocalist from 1977 to 1984 and was replaced by Joseph Williams from 1986 to 1988, Bobby made a few comebacks and Joseph has been their lead vocalist since 2010. The amazing Simon Phillips on drums replaced original drummer Jeff Porcaro who died tragically in 1992, he was brother to bassist Mike, performing here and original keyboardist Steve. You can never get enough of Toto, especially live! Cheers

Beware my friend this rabbit hole is huge and once you're in you can't leave you will not get a band with better musicians fact they have basically sessioned with anybody who's anybody they were basically the house band on Michael Jacksons Thriller, They have always had a very fluid line up the singer in this video is Bobby Kimball brilliant singer but I prefer Joseph Williams(son of the great film composer John Williams...JAWS) who is the vocalist on Till The End, the constant band member throughout is the guitarist the genius that is Steve Lukather....looking forward to you doing a deep exploration of their catalogue love love love your reactions you really listen and break the tunes down !!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta admit like others that the only Toto song I remember having heard was "Africa", being that I am a child of the 80s. I'll have to listen to some more of their stuff. This Bobby Kimball who left and came back. The guy who sang Till the end is Joseph Williams who sang in the band between times and is actually back with them now. Toto fave had a few lead singers over the years
He was let go for his cocaine problems and eventually brought back, He got busted. They had to move on. Toto has had THREE lead singers (as in not playing an instrument) over the decades. Kimball, Fergie Frederiksen, and Joseph Williams. Frederikesn kinda grates on the ears after a few minutes...shout singing. Williams was the best of the three IMO.

Toto the players in the band back in the day was the top studio players in LA! Hundreds if not thousands of recordings they played on. I love St George & the dragon. Afraid of love. So many great songs

I've seen them live 7 times. The singer Bobby Kimball , is there original singer. All the players in this band thru-out the years are the most hired people for recording artist. As well as writing and producing for artists.
Toto have had many different lead singers. Bobby Kimball from 1977-1983. Fergie Fredriksen from 1984-1985. Joseph Williams from 1986-1989. Jean-Michel Byron in 1990. Then Steve Lukather the guitarist took over lead vocals duties until Kimball returned and then later Joseph Williams returned. Joseph Williams is their current lead singer. The audio version you reacted to was from 1979. This is the same lead singer just in 2003. Til the End featured Joseph Williams. This is also a different drummer than on the studio version. Jeff Porcaro was their drummer until his passing in 1992, them Simon Phillips took over for their Kingdom of Desire tour. He is the drummer in this video. You should try St. George and The Dragon from the Hydra album (1979), Goodbye Elenore from the Turn Back album (1981), Girl Goodbye from their debut album (1978), Angel Don’t Cry from the Isolation album (1984) and Pamela from The Seventh One album (1988). The first three songs feature Kimball who is shown in video, the fourth song features Fergie Fredriksen on vocals and the fifth song features Joseph Williams on vocals. Also, they’re from the United States not Australia. The only member not from the US was former drummer Simon Phillips who is from London, England, but based in the US. Joseph Williams is also the son of famous composer John Williams.

Bobby was the original singer for TOTO until the 5th album "Isolation"....Fergie Frederiksen was the singer on Isolation....
Then Joseph Williams (Till the end singer) was on Fahrenheit and the "Seventh One" and Jean Michell Byron was on the "Past to present" album then Bobby and Joe sang on various other new TOTO records after that.

I think the last cd of theirs that the original drummer played on was Kingdom of Desire and he died shortly after or during that.
No Bobby Kimbal is singing lead on this song and Joseph Williams sing Til the End. Bobby is the original lead singer for the group and sang Hold the Line.also a correction on where they are from it is Van Nuys CA and not over seas.

As many have allready pointed out, Joseph Williams was the singer on Til the end. And Bobby was the original lead singer, replaced by Fergie and later Joe. I do appreciate this lineup with Tony Spinner on back up guitar and vocals, cause his voice is pretty close to Joe's. And Tony have made some really good versions of stop loving you live. But their best line up is now, it's like Toto on steroids

Not the same guy who sang till the end. They had like 10 singing frontmen over the years including the guitarist., who also sings and is very good at it.....and I don't believe this band is from Austailia . They are from the US. One of my friends was friends with the drummer and went to school with his son. They all lived in Hartford Connecticutt.
They've had 4 lead singers not including Lukather.

@@kurthooker4370 They were all great except for Byron their 4th lead singer he didn't even last a tour. For the most part the other three were great and Joseph Williams continues to be in great vocal shape.

Better version of this song is Joseph Williams singing it live In Poland video or any other of their live videos on You Tube. Bobby struggled mightely later in his career as is normal for singing at those ranges and eventually couldn't sing.
