He needed to do it months ago tbh. Jon Stewart was torn apart for his association with Louis when the news first broke and it totally overshadowed the charity work he was doing at the time. It was a great cause and deserved all the good media and pr it could get and instead all anyone would discuss with Stewart was frickin' Louis because he was supposed to appear at the benefit.
Or Jon Stewart could have manned up and used his position and clout to say that the Louis CK thing is much ado about nothing. The guy masturbated in front of people. That's it. If a person is traumatized by that, she has much bigger problems than Louis CK.

Reason being: when she voiced her support for him in a tweet a while back, one of his accusers tweeted back outraged and Sarah then had to say "oh im so sorry ur abosulutely right I didnt mean it that way" and so on..knowing that if she didnt, her career would go down the drain too...only person with real balls is Dave Chappelle..he keeps sticking up for him on his specials! No one else would dare to even do that on the radio

To have the biggest balls in comedy you would have to be able to smile at tragedy not just report tragedy. In my opinion a stoic comedian would have much larger balls than a nihilistic comedian.

It’s a problem because he was the boss and mentor of most of the women he did it too. A random dude saying hey, want to see me fap, is different than a boss or coworker with seniority asking that. She’s just being honest. She has already condemned his actions multiple times. She wrote a goddamn essay in the papers and took the entire monologue of her own show to stop and head-on address it. The only thing she isn’t going to say is that she will not be his close friend anymore, because that would be untrue. She isn’t trying to be evasive in this one, she just realizes at this point nothing she says will be accepted. If your best friend did a terrible thing, would you feel it fair for the world to look to YOU for constant dejection and apology for years?

As a woman and long-time fan of Louis' ...(his show was excellent! as was his stand-up)... I hope he bounces back from all that happened, for his sanity and for his fans. I'm not very educated on the subject...I remember reading that he'd done you-know-what over the telephone to women/for them to hear..(I remember thinking 'Why didn't these women simply hang up the phone if they were so offended? Is this a money-grab?!' buuuut... I also know that uncomfortable sexual situations can happen quickly & have lasting impact.) Sarah has handled this subject well. Love her!! She's off the case.

Sarah's not adverse to expressing un-PC views but in her case the honesty is always genuine. She knows as a feminist the script direction should basically be to annihilate / excommunicate Louis for being the monstrous, bullying, misogynistic sexual deviant that he is - but she's bright and honest enough to acknowledge the nuance. It's similar to her expressing solidarity with oppressed Palestinians; this is not generally an acceptable stance for someone of her background and heritage to openly take but she does it anyway.
