As a Korean, I can see why 3 oysters' choosing its ink name as Namsan Green. The second verse of national anthem of Korea starts with "The pine on Mt. Namsan looks armored, unchanging against wind and frost is our spirit". So, the color of the ink represents the color of pine tree leaves on Mt. Namsan.

Wow what a bummer with the nib damage but good on you for publicly admitting it.That looks a dream pen with 2 fantastic looking nibs.

I have a small selection of Santini nibs, which includes 2 cursive italics, a flexy and a left oblique, in addition to more normal grinds. My experience has been every bit as good as Chris's, although my left obliques was cut off a fine nib base. It is the only one which demands that I maintain the proper angle to paper. I often use the 2 cursive italics for ordinary note-taking, simply for the character they give my handwriting; they don't slow me down at all.

I picked up a Santini Italia Libra Cherry about a year ago. I didn't get a flex nib, but got a stub which was further transformed into an Italic by Mark Baccas. It is one of my favorite pens. Congrats on giving the brand a chance. They make incredible pens.

Glad for the happy ending to your reverse writing horror story. A beauty of a pen no doubt, thanks for sharing again. It's a pricey one, but
I've seen reviews of far more expensive pens and that one comes off quite well in comparison, imo.

So, did they fix your nib or send you a new one, and if a new one, was your nib defective or did they tell you nib down always? I love my Libra too. Great value. Thanks again as always.

Replaced nib. Advised me not designed for reverse writing. They paid shipping to/from. Great customer service.

Gee Chris, I'll put Santini on the list of future pen purchases. Have to save my pennies first though. 😁

Dear Chris, I would like to buy two cheaper PENBBS. I would like to swap nibs with my precious 487. Which models do you recommend? Thank you so much!

Need a No. 6 nib, least expensive is 308 & 491. Not the 494, smaller nib. Penbbs 353 nib charm.
