If you are born and brought up in Mumbai, and currently staying away from it then you will miss this city till eternity. It has a different vibe which no other city can match.
Yessir you hit the nail with that one. First when I left, I was excited to leave but now 5 years away from it is when I truly miss it. Makes me wish for a better India where life could've been easier back home so we wouldn't have to leave
Vibe of garbage filled roads and smell of shit
Yes Hitesh, I am now 75 away from Mumbai still everyday I remember Mumbai where I had born and spent my childhood to youngster in my Lower Parel residence on westerly third floor next to Rly.syn. for many years, particularly in monsoon I used to peep out from my window and used to ascertain schedule of arriving rain looking to 2 kms away worli sea face and accordingly I take umbrella to go school and later on in office. A wonderful city, most of unknown people are friendly spoken.
Mumbai is love 😘.
I am from Delhi (the rival city😂).
Mumbai is awesome,mumbaikars are best😘
It's certainly our favorite city in India...and up there with our favs in the world.
Nahi!!!! Dilli is Dil
Mayur says "mehmaan hai" to the shopkeepers which translates to "they're guests" and that's enough for any Indian shopkeeper to not take your money. That's one of the things about Indian culture I'm proud of. We take care of our guests like no other culture, even if we've just met them. It's reflected in the sanskrit quote "atithi devo bhava" which translates to "guest is like a god".
Jyada uchhal mat bhai.
Tu planet badal le.
India me kitne scams hote h foreigners k sath ye shayad tuje malum nhi he..

Been in Australia for 5 years straight. Brings me to tears how much of my soul is still in Mumbai and how alive Mumbai made me feel.
It's something you can't shake! When we moved back to the States from Mumbai in 2015, I swear I could FEEL the nostalgia and longing in my stomach. I missed it so much my stomach hurt. I swear.
@@StephandPete Absolutely. Can’t explain how accurate this is. You guys truly embody the spirit of a Mumbaikar. I was born and raised by this city. But you have embraced it as your own. It’s a testament to its magnanimity and it’s tag as the maximum city.
I don’t know if you have travelled to north of Mumbai. But there is an amazing national park with animals like deers and leopards in Borivali the suburb where I come from, Mumbai is the only city with a national park at its centre.
Also, Global Vipassana Pagoda the largest standing pillar-less Buddhist dome in the world that can house 8000 people to meditate at a time. You will find several around south East Asia. But the largest one of them is in Mumbai with relics of Buddha himself placed in the dome. One of the most peaceful places you will ever visit in the most chaotic city.
not just mumbai i think every major city in india has that charm

@@heberpraneeth9273 nah mate mumbai takes the cherry for it. Something about the city just makes it stand out cus there's no city like it in our big country
A thing about Mumbai.
The first time you land in Mumbai, you will absolutely hate it. The traffic, sounds, smells.
But as time goes you would fall in love with the city. I think it is the people. Mumbaikers make you fall in love with their city.
Pete and I loved it at first sight back in 2010!

Mumbai is not just a city, its like a living organisms that also makes others feel alive.

I just love it what you guys are doing, cycling in Mumbai. I used to do it in my school days at Shivaji park and Matunga area. It just brought the life of my favorite city, Mumbai 400028 and 400016. Only Mumbai city lovers will understand the above numbers. ❤️ Jai Maharashtra
I’m so glad you enjoyed!!! Mumbai is so special.

As a Mumbaikar, I thank you for visiting! And believe it or not as much as people around the world love Mumbai, we Mumbaikars love to host all of you. You can talk to any random stranger at marine drive for hours and hours. The reason I personally love my city would be, "No matter what time of the day it is I never feel like I am alone (in a good way). Sitting at marine drive watching the sunset and the people around me makes me realize how insignificant my problems are, gives me some sort of strength. It is like a therapy.
All of this is so true!! ♥️
I was born and raised in the Garden City. Lived in Bangalore for about 26 years, I lived in Mumbai only for about 2 years. Have been in the USA for 17 years. But Mumbai remains the best place for me. Mumbai is not a city. It’s an emotional connection….
Mumbai or banglore which is good

At 11:01 Mayur said the shopkeeper , "bilkul nehi, mehman hai" in Hindi, which means "not at all (don't take it from him), they are our guests".
The hospitality here is unmatched.
@@StephandPete and it's not just fr foreigners. When I go to my friend's place who lives in other state(H.P). He won't let me pay for anything. Just unbelievable. The gestures r so heart warming that u urself grow along them.
I am fascinated about my country and wondered how everyone talks about the awful smell when a plane opens its doors at Mumbai Airport and to be honest never experienced that back in the eighties when I lived there. But what I see is at the start the streets look neglected and unkempt but at 8.58 am it is all cleaned up. So I assume Bombay sleeps and very quickly the place Is cleaned up for the very busy day ahead. And the work ethics on the roadside _ no supervisors but each one going about conscientiously doing their own thing. There must be trust and cooperation for them to co exist in such a busy environment. You showed us the real morning vibe in Bombay.
A lot of complexities for sure, but such a special city. Thanks for watching.

Such a lovely comment! Thanks for watching. We really appreciate it. Mumbai is so special. I'm glad we could convey that.
On that lovely morning in Mumbai, everyone's bike ride felt so cool. The contrast between the first mode of activity in the market area and the open spaces of the main streets leading out of the city lanes was beautiful.
It’s such a special experience. Glad you enjoyed. Appreciate you watching.
Wow!! a spectacular video. Watched it two times as i didn't want it to end. Brought back beautiful memories as I did this tour with Steph, Pete and Mayour 10 years ago. This time I have no complaints that there was no Hays in this video as I was back at the hotel (sleeping) with him. Great Work!!!
