Zoro killed the first Mr.7 off camera, it is mentioned in Arabasta in the anime, its an amazing touch they showed how it happened. The Mr.7 we knew in Arabasta in the Anime was the replacement of the one we see here!
The Zoro and Mr. 7 happened as a throwaway line when he fought Mr. 1 in the anime. He said the original Mr. 7 tried to recruit him but never joined because he wanted to be number one, so he killed the original Mr. 7.

Zoro mentioned in the manga that baroque works tried to recruit him but he killed the guy who was sent (mr 7 or actually mr 3.5 now) and then Oda did a sketch of mr 7 and showed him in SBS. Later in alabasta we see new mr 7 who replaced this guy. I love it so much that they adapted something like that

As for the Zoro scene, he mentions in the manga getting a request to join Baroque Works, but turned it down unless he was made leader.
I didn't even notice until rewatching that Nami rolled one of the stripey socks down her leg in the bar to attract Marines to steal a uniform. I like how they get their strengths down so well in the show. Zoro is physically strong, Luffy is unpredictable and though Nami and Usopp are weaker than the first two as fighters they use their wits to get through situations. Nami is never above using her charms as a girl to get what she wants or escape a bad situation.
Zoro mentions in Alabasta arc that at one point in time Baroque Works scouted him and asked him to join. He told them that the only way he'd say yes is if he'd make him their leader. So this is a little bit of an alteration of that. I think its an excellent way to show off why hes feared as a "Pirate Hunter".
Loving the new channel profile picture! This is honestly the best live action adaptation I've seen, and they did a superb job with the casting! So many unexpected changes, but they worked out great. I hope we get a season 2 soon.
Nami's first appearance in the anime was different from the manga. In the anime she is among the passengers of the ship that Alvida robbed, making her technically the very first main character we see in the anime, even before Luffy. In the manga her first appearance was the same as here, where she stole the boat from couple of Buggy's lackeys, except in the original story it happens just before we get to Orangetown.
I was a bit hesistant about the live action adaption but decided to just give it a shot. I ended up binging the entire season, the show really surpassed my expectations! I'm glad you liked it too!
Pretty awesome collab and new pfp for the channel is really good. I've only watched the first 4 episodes. They have been really enjoyable and made me laugh so far so much to enjoy from longtime fans and newcomers I think this live action adaption is the one that breaks the curse.
colby saying goodbye to luffy, nami, and zaddy got me too. i was like "why am i feeling so emotional?!" that's when i knew that i cared about this show that i was already impressed with technically and laughing along with their jokes. it's such a strong freaking start. i heard it's a 97% audience rating on rotten tomatoes? man. i'm not a one piece fan... but, g'dang. i'm feeling the nakama vibes. happy days. finally. a half decent show that makes me smile.
The moment I saw an article that Oda is involved in this live-action adaptation, I was hoping that it will be good and I'm not disappointed, I'm very happy and hoping for a renewal.
Going into this, I thought there were two things I thought they'd never be able to make work in live action: Zoro's fighting style, and the entire character of Monkey D. Luffy. Yet somehow, they managed to nail both.
Nami did indeed wield a regular bow staff prior to getting the Clima-Tact from Usopp. She just didn't fight much at all prior to Alabasta so you likely just forgot.

I love all the attention to detail in the live action, you can tell that they took their time when making this. I don't remeber where I heard this but all the different outfits are outfits that Oda drew in different color spreads and other art work. Also, Sixis Island, where they introduced Zoro, is the Island that Ace found his devil fruit in the Ace light novels.

It is a very good adaptation, lots of changes here and there but the spirit is kept true to the material. With the wanted posters, they always kinda made the point they were photographed (since Sanji's wanted poster gag completely revolved around that issue), so I feel the idea is that the photo is made by a Den Den Mushi (since projector snails are also a thing). So how would that look? How would it be "processed"? I think that filter angle is, while kinda funky and def needs some adjustments for a 2nd season, is a really dope idea!
Don't forget it's based on the manga. Why, the anime changed things and censored. So for those of us who read it, you feel the most similar things. Although also being an adaptation I agree that they should make changes.

With the wanted posters, they always kinda made the point they were photographed (since Sanji's wanted poster gag completely revolved around that issue), so I feel the idea is that the photo is made by a Den Den Mushi (since projector snails are also a thing). So how would that look? How would it be "processed"? I think that filter angle is, while kinda funky and def needs some adjustments for a 2nd season, is a really dope idea!
Don't forget it's based on the manga. Why, the anime changed things and censored. So for those of us who read it, you feel the most similar things. Although also being an adaptation I agree that they should make changes.

i was positive surprised by that live action, i like it :D . And to answer the question, this thing with mr.7 didn't happened in the anime, but zoro said on Whisky peak, that he once had been ask about joining baroque, so they just use it to show us this in the live action ^^
