By far my favorite song from any Zelda game. Your lead was perfect but my favorite part has always been the rhythm section. It seems easy to play. You should do a video on that part 😁

I don't play instrument at all but I love instruments so much. I've got the same Legend of Zelda Ocarina as yours at the top left of your video. Sadly, when I tried to follow your tutorial, my high-D note is not high enough and just doesn't sound like yours. I wondered why... *cries*
P.S.: The moment I played this song, strong winds and rain hit and my place lost internet connection for an hour so I have to comment after the internet connection comes back xD

When I was in my youth, about 85 years ago (give or take a few 60 years or so), I loved the Legend of Zelda on my NES and SNES. As I get old...er , I have lost interest in gaming, but loved the music in the recent Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of time, so much, that I bought a couple (Ocarinas).
Thanks for this video (very well done... you have a natural talent for teaching), but I can't stress the following enough. THANKYOU for the picture graphics in the back with the proper finger placements. Other than my own opinions, the Ocarina is the first wind instrument I have had the pleasure of using. Thanks!!!!!!!

I already learned the song! You're a really good teacher, probably the best on yt for the ocarina. I am still having trouble with the high D but I think it's because my ocarina is plastic and feels harder to use. I keep running out of breathe when I try to play those high notes too. Ordered a smaller ceramic zelda ocarina from stl. Might work better for me, sound better too.
Same problem here, high D Just dont sound right to me :/ i also got a plastic ocarina but even with my ceramic ocarina i still have the same issue

Hey Gina, thank you so much for your videos! :) You must get this kind of questions quite often but couldn't find out by myself on the Internet, do you have to blow hard on your ocarina to reach the higher notes? Because I got an ocarina yesterday (it comes from Thomann) but can't reach the high notes properly without blowing quite hard, is that normal?

Hi Gina I have a question. When you look at an ocarina music tab how do you know the spaces between each note? And how fast should the song be played? And how long should each note be?
Gina, is there a quality difference in ocarinas? Yours sounds wayyy better than mine, but I’m not sure if it’s a skill issue or if I bought a cheap/crappy one (I got mine from Amazon lol).

Are there spesific songs that sound good with an ocarina air? im struggling learning how to play a bit.
When did you first started playing it and how long did it take you to learn the sounds from the game? I bought one a few years ago because I used to spend hrs on the ocarina of time n64 and never took the time to practice, I miss hearing the background music from it and wouldn’t mind taking the time to learn how to play the song of storms, Saria’s song, Epon’s song and the Song of time, those three would be my priority to learn.
My ocarina is a bit different same ammount of holes though will this work wit it. The difference is mine is a bit thiner
