    Eagerly waiting for EC monitor. Also I want to see how you install this solution directly into the running system. What I want to know is how to give power supply the casing etc to pack your arduino and install it for monitoring.

      The EC will come soon. Normal plastic casing and soldered on breadboard will be OK for implementation and installation.

    Hi Pierre. Another awesome video. Will all these different projects fit onto a single Uno controller or does each project need a different controller

    Thanks for the explanation Pierre.
    A couple of questions if I may.
    The water solution used for rinsing. Is it distilled water?
    What happens if the probe is left in the hydroponics water for long periods. Can the probe be left for long periods in distilled water?
    How long does the probe last and what parts of the probe will need replacing over time?

    • @doitwithpierre210
      @doitwithpierre210  Před 4 lety +2

      Dale distilled water will be best for rinsing. pH probes do not last long when submerged permanently. Some are better than others but because of the principle of working, they degrade quite quickly. The manufacturer suggests replacement every 6 months with this specific probe. A better way to handle this is not to leave your probe permanently in the system and it will last much longer. I will try to answer this better in the next video.

      @@doitwithpierre210 OK thanks Pierre. I am wanting to automate the probe being inserted into the hydroponics water whereby it will take readings every day. When not submerged it will be withdrawn from the water until the task is required again the next day. I am just wondering if the probe can just be pulled out with a motor and left in air, or does it need to rest in distilled water or re-inserted into the supplied cap. Your opinion greatly appreciated thanks

      The probe must not dry out.

    Thanks Pierre for this video. I am going to build the EC sensor project first and get used to your program and operation. Then I’m going to make this pH sensor. Will I have to use 2 Arduino boards or can both projects work on the same board ???

    Thanks, Pierre for these series. I have a quick question: Is it possible to have a system that automatically regulates the PH ...say, the system reads a PH value that is way off the charts and it automatically initiates a dilution of the system, either with pure water or some sought of chemical (acid or base) depending on the PH?

    • @doitwithpierre210
      @doitwithpierre210  Před 4 lety +1
