      Yes, they do. I have 12V in all 3 platforms, and I much prefer the DeWalt and Skil 12V platform over the M12. The M12 circ saw is just... anemic for what it should do. Once the M12 circ saw gets back to me, I'm going to sell it. I have a couple of Pwrcore12 tools (drill and oscillating multi tool) and can see adding a ratchet and some others. I have an old ryobi 5 1/2" p505 (with a laser) that is my favorite saw because it's so light even with the 6 amp high output battery. I think running it on anything less than 4.0 is not ideal. Ryobi batteries are so light weight anyways. I'd never try to use it with a 2.0!

    Ryobi is getting ready for the inflation driven decision to reduce stud thickness to 1.25" 😁

    I've really been enjoying makita blades. Problem is you have to get them online because stores only carry diablo blades.
    Me thinks that the _only_ reason that people still like diablo blades is because their stores give them NO CHOICE by only stocking those blades. In my region, you can only get different brands online or at a small storefront hardware place. 🤔

      5-1/2" and 5-3/8" blades are even harder than usual to find. On top of that, the Milwaukee wouldn't accept any of the bushings that came with the 20mm arbor Diablo blade because of the way it's designed and I had to order ones with a 10mm arbor on Amazon -- not in stores anywhere.
      Lately I've been using Spyder blades, however I think Makita blades did very well on Project Farm not too long ago.

    My 5.5" ryobi(same 'POS505') performed identically to both of these saws in the comparison. Considering all the other competitors were of the 12v variety, this is shameful. RYOBI may be okay in some applications where the DIY'rs only cutting 1/4" dry material, definitely not pressure treated decking boards, as mine died cutting dry, untreated decking boards😡.

    You can see that with the Skil closer he slowed it down, maybe he likes DeWalt.

    errr... don't cut 2by wood with 12V, stick to 18/20V at least. For circular saws I use Metabo 36V, even though I have batteries for DeWalt 20V & 60V, and Milwaukee M18 & M12. And Ryobi. And Ridgid. And Makita 12V.

    i would go with skil cause price for home use, but dewalt if i was using it for work. milwaukee is overpriced for mediocre products, their impacts are decent but so is dewalt or skil, even ryobi, its not worth the money imo, dewalt or skil is the winner, ryobi is definitly an option depending on what tool you need, even then im sure dewalt or skil has the same tool.

    Pretty disappointed in Milwaukee here; you can just hear it struggling! The DeWalt was excellent; only gripe I noticed is that the dust exhausts backwards, where Skil and Milwaukee exhaust straight down, keeping a lot of that sawdust from getting ingrained in your clothes.

    • @l00nybin
      @l00nybin Před rokem

      The DeWalt has an attachment for a dust vacuum, so that's why it shoots back. As a lefty, I'm glad it shoots back instead of to the right. Even the M12 shooting "down" gets dust all over you unless you stand far back. But let's be honest: when we're using those, we're right up next to the boards stabilizing them, so the sawdust will get on you.

      If we're talking the CP1.5/2.0/3.0 M12 batteries that are 3 cells sitting in the handle/stem, sure. The XC 3.0/4.0/6.0, the square base is negligibly smaller than the DeWalt 12V packs, in my opinion. Of course the 5aH DeWalt is a bit taller than the 2 or 3.

  • @james2042
    @james2042 Před 3 měsíci

    I think the ryobi would of benefited from a 4ah battery. Ryobi uses the exact same cells in their 2ah and 4ah hp and non hp batteries. The hp just has extra cooling and extra electronicson it to communicate with certain tools, but that communication is no longer needed outside of those few 2019-2020 tools. The 4ah still is a 2p and therefore has double the current capcity. A regular 4ah battery hits the brushless hammer drill harder than a 2ah hp. That saw would of likely ran better with a 4ah, probably would of beat the milwaukee and skil
    Now the 6ah uses sony cells instead of chinese eve cells, and the 8 and 12 use samsung 21700s

      The Dewalt and Milwaukee saws are meant for the Electrician, Plumber, etc for cutting blocking. We aren't building houses but still have to lug alot of tools up flights of stairs. Every bit helps
