Definitely one of the best acapella renditions I've ever heard! What's nice about it is that you don't even have to read the title to know Brian McKnight is part of this group; his signature is all over it! It's a shame that some of the best performances of the national anthem, like this one, aren't featured on bigger stages. But then, they'd probably be less moving, dampened with unnecessary orchestras and other special effects. This performance is a wonderful reminder of the beauty of the human voice.
lmfao the awkward moment when he said "You got a wall full of Grammy's up there" ... and he hasn't won any. Which is a shame cause he totally should have at least a handful. Definitely one of the greats!
You have to remember like the one person said, Whitney had a full orchestra to back her up. These men did it acapella which these days it's very hard to even sing without flubbing up but they did an awesome job.

I LOVE Whitney's version (my favorite ever), but this is simply a different event. OK peace and love! The performance was great, but it didn't move me like Whitney's and it's just my opinion and it's not law. The McKnight family always gives good performances and there's no discredit given. The McKnights are one of the most talented artists around (sing, compose, play instruments, and then some). I've met Brian McKnight and his two boys and have personally told them how great they are.
Didn't want to pull the Kanye thing, but Whitney Houston's version is better. I Love Brian McKnight, Niko, B.J., Claude, and all the other McKnights, but this did not top Whitney for me. Nice try though. Whitney's gave me chills and then some then and even today. That's why it's a classic and people remember it and still reference it and play it.
