This cover is so good that it has already reached 109 million views, very close to the 139 million views of the original song, and that the BLACKPINK cover is only 6 years old vs. the 13 years of the original song.

Rosé's🌹 voice is unique and unrepeatable, and those of us who have good ears know how to appreciate it. She is also the most complete and integral member of the group because she writes her own songs, she is the one who shows the most love to her fans and she has played piano since she was a child. and guitar professionally, she is perfect and that is why I love her.
for what I know, they made this song cover during their trainee days, and the last part where Lisa and Jennie made back to back rap is their original lyrics added during their monthly evaluation during training, and here you can see how talented this girls and I think Jisoo or Rosé is in charge if harmonizing part😉

What's cool about this song is that Jennie and Lisa wrote the rap at the end, it is not in the original. I know that they were really quite proud of it.

K-Entertainment companies feel like the more reactors react to their artists the bigger the exposure for that artist and other artists in that company. In fact, reaction channels with big number of subscribers have been contacted by Korean Entertainment companies and offered a new release MV, asked if they would like to record a react ahead of the release date to be posted at the second of release. YG, Blackpink company, has done that before.

Hope you guys checked out Jisoo and Rosie at Paris Fashion Week events. Jisoo was so beautiful in this video. As one Rosie bias to another Coach its cool to see your facial reaction when she sings. I am sure you will get to Rosie and all of the members solo songs on this journey. I also want to give you a tip about Rosie. She joined a reality TV show where she was a waitress /entertainer at a seaside beach bar, its called Sea of Hope. She plays guitar and sings two songs you absolutely need to hear, "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" and "The Only Exception"

I simply love you two, wonderful, open, fresh and honest. My husband and I found BlackPink thru our 13yrs old daughter. She shared them and we did a deep dive in and found the Netflix show as well- which honestly I think is indeed the best way to get into this particular group. They are indeed unlike any other I have watched/ listened to. They give room to each other to showcase each one talent and personal style and NOT step on each other's toes. They are what my husband call ego-less in a group- which he says is difficult( he use to preform in a KISS cover band). Each BlackPink member has solo work and projects they do, all while staying together. Jisoo( BEAUTIFUL Smokey voice I FULL agree), does acting on the side. Known as K-dramas- one we watched on Disney+ called Snowdrop. Our sweetpea Rose' has solo work out that you simply must look into, voice of an angel, and also plays the piano and guitar and is known to be a workacholic with her music, for it is very personal for her. Our stage stunners Jennie & Lisa(Lalisa or Lili). You hit the nail on the head with the two of them, very different flows styles, but they are BRILLIANT together(for some reason, my husband and I- in our forever old age and as the bane of our daughters musical existence, these two remind us of Lavern & Shirley WITHOUT the goofiness. We are speaking ONLY about their cohesiveness- we are about to be banned from our daughters musical life I just know it!) Jennie's singing and rap style(for They ALL sing, but Jisoo and Rose' are the MAIN singers)she does a speedier, quick punches. Lisa's style is more laid-back and fun-loving, as the baby in the group, she tends to be the lovely, silly wild child of the group that reminds them not to take themselves too seriously, but very down to Earth. They are polished, poised and while extremely alluring, they never make me want to cover my daughter's eyes and worry about her dressing like them. The solo work allows you to see their own flare. Also they have a good many Live performances where they REALLY shine- and sweet Jesus, their dance practices for stage performances are 2nd to NONE. I have never seen such dance practices. Welcome down the rabbit hole. This will be enjoyable, we promise you will enjoy this. It's a wonderful interdiction to K-Pop, which doesn't mean it's poppy, bubble gum music, but rather what's popular in South Korea- which covers many types of music. Music is a love language and is beautiful to see influences of the west spread and be RE- invented and brought back to us with such beautiful bows. Sorry so long, but you two are just so pure and honest. Know that it's ok not to love every song they put out, but your two's respect for all their hard work is why we watch.

On stage the girls may sometimes give off an edgy and bad girl vibe but off camera they are funny, humble and at times goofy. They have a sisterly bond forged during their trainee days which remains to this day. They are just wonderful people.

About 4:25 Rose' comes in so strong, and to me, it is simply musical mastery as the four harmonize.
It wouldn't work without all OT4 being so practiced and having that massive block of training behind them.
This is one of the performances, that for me, proves how humble the members really are. They were "surprised" that they became so popular.
As far as the copyright / blockage of the reactions:
I am NOT an expert, but as far as I have seen, the most trouble seems to come from reacting to them being on Korean TV. That SBS logo (Seoul Broadcasting System) is one indication. Inkigayo or Blackpink House seem to hit some trouble spots. Mostly though, it seems YG is happy to let things fly, free advertising and all. 😁
Coach is definitely noticing Rose'. Appreciate the info on the TV network. You'd think music labels would understand the free advertising concept and how it can create fans, but clearly many do not. Some artists have aggressively blocked our reactions.

Since you are trying to do their early songs, listen to their iconic live version of So Hot (an early kpop hit from Wonder Girls) at an awards show. It was done in 2017. Helped them explode.

Yes, that is a Korean TV show, I have seen it in its entirety and that is not the only cover they do.

"Sure Thing" cover is from JYP's Party People variety show, Episode 4 (only one season). JYP (Park Jin-young) is a first generation idol who started an entertainment company that is one of the "big 3" Korean entertainment companies. YG (Yang Hyun-suk) was a contemporary who founded YG Entertainment, BlackPink's label (also one of the "big 3"). {SM, the other "big 3" has a little different origin story}. K-pop is a deep hole to fall in.
When you're ready for a guide, I'd recommend one of the "Ultimate" guides, some others are shorter, but the shorter they are, the more unanswered questions (like why is Jennie "Human Chanel"). If more interested in the group, Rice Squad's "The Revolution: A Story of BLACKPINK", kind of works as an addendum to "Light up the Sky".

I'm sorry but that "The Revolution" made by an youtube channel It's full of misinformation and only shows the commercial vision behind BP, as if it were something designed exclusively for them, when in fact groups like Big Bang and 2NE1 received the same treatment as YG.
@@heeyl_6387 I'll give you the Marketing 101 section is a bit overboard; but other that that, it's a pretty good glimpse of the landscape at the time, especially if you're not familiar with the Gen 1 & 2 evolution. Other than the marketing stuff, it's a bit dated and there's a lot of tangential stuff that isn't addressed, but that would take forever and you have to start somewhere.
Jen and Lisa wrote the raps to the cover which is not in the original song. They performed this song to YG the ceo/founder snd he was impressed.
YG is releasing a new girl group and its been 7 years called Babymonster. They are the little sisters to Blackpink. I think you should checkout their Individual performancess 7 videos. You will love them, I promise.

Hey guys! Here's a little background on "PARTY PEOPLE"
PARTY PEOPLE was a music/talk show hosted by JYP, the CEO of JYP Entertainment (one of the other "BIG 3 K-Pop companies in S. Korea) The show was filmed in a hotel nightclub and alcohol was served during taping! You can see JYP in this video at 7:09 in your reaction, when they cut to two guys bopping, JYP is the one with short hair and a vest. He's a nice guy, very personable.
The girls said that they chose this song to perform because during their monthly evaluations, SURE THING was one that their CEO had praised them on. You can find the full interview online but here's the other video from the show that most people watch (besides this one):

Yes, this is the live tv show.
They went to this show on their rookie year ( only had 4 songs under their name) after finish their own songs the MC asked them to do something more, so they had to do this song right away without any rehearsal.
The rap part at the end wrote by JENNIE &LISA when they were tranee at YG for the monthly evaluation.

A personal story about this performance.BLACKPINK had performed for the first time in a US TV show, some comments on the video of their performance questioned whether they really sang during the performance, that is, they said that they only danced while lip syncing, putting doubt they could dance at that level while singing live! Maybe they weren't used to Western girl groups being able to dance and sing at the same time, however, I then suggested that they watch this live performance of "Sure Thing" to see if they could actually sing!

Although they don't have that many songs compared to other groups, but they have a lot of content, from live shows, to reality shows, Online concert (because of covid, Called The Show), Coachella and more. Also everyone blocks video's so to counter that you need to alter the content so it's not original anymore. Like putting a filter over it, or put a logo into the video or even top of your head in the video. A bit like Taylor Swift is doing with her music to make her older music hers again, by "remastering" it and changing little stuff. A lot of artist have cached onto that and are opening their own CZcams channel and releasing remasters of their older works to get their ownership back.
Would you consider reacting to one of the fanmade guides. You watched the documentary but the guides give you more info on their individual personalities,traits,etc.
Also the original version is amazing in its own right. Another possible reaction in the future?

It's worth mentioning that all the members of BlackPink each has a number of solo songs and Rose was in the "Sea of Hope" series in which she jams with a small band, generally by the sea shore. At the time, Jisoo, on the left with the 'purple' hair, didn't know english and basically learned it phonetically. She does an incredible job.
Rosé has some sublime performances on the Korean show "Sea of Hope" and does a lovely cover of "Eyes Closed" by Halsey, and she and Ashley are now good friends, having met up in Paris.

@@CoachCastTV Actually it's the opposite when Lisa began training she spoke no Korean and other were told not to speak English to her only Korean. Jennie helped her though. The girls have been helping jisoo over the years to speak some English. Lisa on the other hand has gone on to learn Chinese and Japanese so she speaks at least 5 languages now. She is adored in China and was on a TV show there training Chinese "idols"
