Was watching his interview with candace earlier, and he was talking to her about doing a movie of Full House in about 10 years….just heartbreaking ….still in such shock

Josh is so humble. Without him, I wouldn't have loved the show as much. Sure the others had all the funny parts, but Ted was my favourite. What a friend he would be to have.
Bob Saget as the narrator makes perfect sense. It would be confusing if Josh is talking in a scene and then the voiceover comes and it’s him as well. Two separate voices makes it clear for the audience what is what. It’s easier for the listener to switch their perception as to what is happening, in what context. It’s hard to explain for me in English.
Also, viewers can get tired of a character (MASH for example had too much Hawkeye/Alan Alda in the later seasons) so a different voice helps with that as well.
Edit: I’d like to add that people bingewatching sitcoms often don’t constantly look at the screen. A different voice helps to know what is what.
And it was just cool. Name another show with a main character narrator.

In Hungarian they had the same voice actor, and it was still a legendary dub, never got confusing

Never forget the night I got into this show in November of 2010 because people at my job were watching HIMYM at work. I knew the voice was Saget's but I had no idea why. I had to play catchup but it was well worth it. Tv shows just stink now it won't be the same. RIP Saget.

I had a friend once, who randomly wrote a fan letter to Bob Saget, and he sent back a heart felt signed headshot. My friend wasn't actually a fan, but had that photo frames and hung for years. Ive always had respect for Bob Saget since that story. Not everyone responds to fan letters so kindly.
It's was really sad watching this.. We will miss him

Really good to see Josh on a podcast. Absolutely loved him in HIMYM, Ted was always my favourite character. Good to hear the actor behind the character's personality while talking to a close friends like Bob. I also enjoy his music with Ben Lee. Keep doing you Josh.

It feels so bizarre so many people didn’t realize the narrator wasn’t josh radnor but in this video you can hear their voices seem really different than the other. Also they both have really characteristic voices.

HIMYM is one of my favorite shows of all time and one that I watch in the best and worst of times.
With certain shows, and movies, I watch them enough that the characters begin to feel like friends and these shows resonate strongly with me emotionally. HIMYM is one of those shows, and while I wish they would have a reunion movie or show on Netflix, the show never ends if I can start it over from the beginning another time.
Even if you never see this comment, thank you both so much for this amazing show

I just started really watching 'How I Met Your Mother." Before I've always watched little bits of it and I didn't realize it was so funny! Josh sounds so much like Bob!
Bob ! Thank you so much for having Josh Radnor on, I absolutely love Josh ! It would be so great if I could talk to him and have a conversation with him. Josh is very humble and kind. I just am in awww of everything he does. I definitely love his acting, plays, and his music and much more. How I met your mother also helped me out with a lot of things. For 3 years after the show ended I had the DVD of HIMYM and I had the DVD on a loop, I would watch season 1-9 and then start over on 1-9 again, and again.. I wish that i was near Broadway because I would love to see Josh. I have never seen a Broadway show....I know, it's so sad. I could write so much more, however, thank you so much Josh for all you have done. I appreciate you. All the Best for you !!!

Makes sense to me why Bob Saget was the future Ted. You want to differentiate from the future voice over Ted and the present day voice over Ted, which happened from time to time. If it was the same voice you wouldn't be sure if it was the present Ted or the future Ted.

About the ending of HIMYM, I kinda expected it to be bittersweet. I can't say I was happy with it, but I could accept it. The only thing that bothered me, that it felt so rushed. I think the last episode should have been a two-part episode with more focus on what happened after Barney and Robin's wedding. I admit I wasn't really fond of the idea of Ted going back to Robin again because through the nine seasons I grew to not liking Robin that much, but I also know that I always felt like I'm so similar to Ted and I had a tendency to not being able to move on and feeling an unrequited love for someone for years that it may have made me to see Robin through a different lense, projecting that girl who didn't love me onto her.
I found Josh talking about how he played Ted valuable information to me, as I'm actor, too. I haven't really played a main protagonist yet, but when the time comes (hopefully :D) it will help me a lot. :)

6:16 makes a lot of sense. He might be the main guy but people like NPH was liked a lot in that show just like the soma dunker was John Stamos even though Saget was the main guy of the show
