Hi Ken,
This recipe is similar to my family's Mexican Abondiga (meatball) Soup recipe. Same ingredients only we add dried Mexican Oregano, freshly chopped mint and rice in the meatballs. Instead of frying, we cooking in a light broth.

@@KensGreekTable 🇬🇷♥️💪👍 Mom is from a small village called Koupakion, near Delphi. She used to make stuffed pumpkin flowers, so delicate and colourful. Dad was from a village called Paleo Xarion, near Nafpaktos. He was a cook in the army.
Nice !! I made these yesterday but used middle eastern kufta spices which made it a bit "heavy" and used my Airfryer. I'm going to use your recipie next time because it looks better and easier on the guts with all these herbs 😊
Hey Miriam, thank you for your comment!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 It really is a very easy recipe that’s also very delicious. Good luck and let me know what you think???
@@KensGreekTable I will. By the way, using the airfryer does help with getting less frying oil in the food, but kind of makes the kefta a bit dry, so might add extra onions for the juices.
That will certainly help... good luck👍💪🙌
Ekaristo delicious!!!!
Thanks Sandro!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Πάω να τα φτιάξω τώρα. Just have to 😁😁
😂😂😂👍👍👍
Very delicious, i just make them without the egg. Its a taste thing, which is different for anyone i guess. I found using egg in ground beef that it make to much of a impact on the rest of the seasoning, it takes away the flavor and leaves a egg taste, but that just me. Anyways, instead of egg, use a piece or 2 white bread to bind the ground beef instead of the egg, bread doesn't has any influence on the other flavors. Just a tip for people who rather don't use eggs.
You can fry like that with olive oil? I thought the temp would be too high
My man. Do you know how much Greek Olive Oil costs in Denmark ?? Can't put so much in the pan 😥😥
Hahaha I know!!! I’m trying to get into that market!!! 😂👍🙏🏼✌️💪🙌🇬🇷♥️
How much? I live in Russia and I buy greek olive oil in Finland, because it is cheaper there, then in Russia. And it is written on the package that it is for the markets of Finland, Sweden and Denmark. And actually in Greece it is almost the same price, if you are buying in the supermarket (and not from some farmer etc)
It is pricy in the states too
How do you stop the oil from going dark/dirty/black?
After one batch of frying, for me, I need to strain the oil or change it.
Hi Ken, can you bake meatballs, instead of,frying? Also, I would like to request recipe for baby lamb chops, please & thank you.
Absolutely Sondra. 400°f until browned. The lamb chops are coming.... lol
Only one problem with these.....I could eat them ALL DAY!! 🤣
😂😂😂👍👍👍
What greek oil you use? Thank you.
Can you go into more detail about the olive oil ?
You can find a lot of info on my website....

I lived in Athens (Glyphada) for three years. I ate daily in Greek restaurants. All over. I never once had fried kefthedakia. They were always grilled. I cant imagine fried. And there was lamb in the mix.
You’re probably thinking of biftekia, which are grilled beef/lamb patties which are unbelievably good on their own. These are meatballs....
Those are mpiftekia. Keftedakia are always fried ,some times nowadays are baked on the oven to avoid fry .
My Yiayia used to flatten them like a hamburger. Gosh, I miss, her,💔
Thanks for sharing Elaine.... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
How long did you deep fry the meatballs for?
Hey Lane, thanks for your question. Usually you fry them about 3-4 minutes per side....
@@KensGreekTable Perfect, Thank you
Go get’em!!! 😂😂😂👍👍👍
No ground lamb mix ?
Greeks don’t really use ground lamb….
ella ken , i gained 55lbs since i subscribed to ur delish cookin.. we need to talk, im havin 2nd thoughts, hmmm.
Haha outstanding!!! It’s all good... 😂👍🙏🏼💪🙌✌️
FOFL!! 😂 😂 😂
😂😂😂👍👍👍
There’s always breadcrumbs in meatballs…. Surprised you didn’t have them!
Actually, not in Greek meatballs. That’s more of an Italian thing....
..☦️......👍
I think you should try baking your meatballs instead of frying. Also add some onion salt.
You would have to brown them first in oil, then bake them. Still lighter that way. But rolling them in flour seals in flavor, moisture, and gives them an even appearance.
