Thanks for your test and thoughts, really helpful, though actually, at least where I am, there's a big difference in price between the 7a and the 8a!
The current asking price in the UK for the 8a has dropped to £449 from £499, with the 7a at £299 reduced from £399. So, assuming a non sale difference between the two of £100, I wonder if the 8a is worth the extra if buying purely for the cameras and not interested in AI or the few hardware improvements?

When there's a substantial difference in color like on the flower you should comment which one is accurate and closer to the original color in real life. I hate fake saturation.

Several people have noted the 8a battery lasts about one 1 hour more including this video right at the very end when he references his 8a review.
Slightly larger battery plus more efficient G3 vs G2.
