Looks like I can really crank on it to get it lined up vertically? Mine is at an angle and I was hesitant to really muscle it straight.

Was my fear as well! How much torque could it take? Mine turned three complete revolutions and resisted at 9 O'clock. Turned it to 12 O'clock and all was well!
