3 Door Down is a rabbit hole of amazing tunes. Kryptonite, Duck and Run, Be Like That, When I'm Gone, Here Without You, Going Down in Flames, Landing in London, What's Left ... Thanks for listening to one of my favs!
This song really hits hard for a lot of people. I was bullied a lot when I was younger. It definitely changes your outlook on life. A band you might enjoy listening to is Stone Sour. Corey Taylor who is the lead singer of Slipknot fronts the band. Jim Root who is one of the guitarists is also in Slipknot. They are heavy but different sounding. A bit more melodic and very deep lyrically. Checkout "Through Glass", "Pieces" (my absolute favorite of theirs), "Miracles", "sillyworld" and "Bother" That's a good start. Their entire catalog is amazing. Great band and powerful music. Have a blessed day, you two.
I never knew that two of the members were apart of slipknot I’ve never really tried listening to slip knot but through the glass and wicked games acoustic version are some of my favorite songs on my playlist so I definitely gotta check out slipknot now
I got to meet the band in 2006. I was living on the Mississippi Coast when Katrina destroyed everything in 2005. They are from MS and came down to do a benefit concert. I was stationed at Keesler AFB and they came to the base. They are some of the nicest guys I've ever met.
Love 3 Doors Down. SO military friendly. My husband and I loved their album - Away From The Sun - because it held songs on it that meant alot to us being separated because of military deployments such as "When I'm Gone," "Here Without You," "The Road I'm On," and "Away From the Sun." If you like 3 Doors Down....you might like Chevelle. If you get to this band, do "The Red," "Take Out the Gunman," and "Sed the Pain Below." Then Do Seether. The songs from Seether you should do are "Same Damn Life," "Broken," Nobody's Praying for Me," "Fine Again," and "Fake It."
@@davidpalahinjak8954 Definitely a good conversation over a beer. I would go as far to suggest that it is a 90's alternative to the power ballad. So there is a similarity. But if you trace the start of the power ballad to REO Speedwagon once Kevin Cronin joined the band and was writing pretty much folk songs on an acoustic. Then they fleshed out those ballads but what was the birth of the POWER ballad was Gary Ritchrath laying in with some killer Rock solos over the top. This dovetailed directly to the rise of glam and MTV where theatrics came in as well. Midwest and southern bands in the 90's came with a totally different snsibility and although they were fans of the great power ballads, they also didn't want to be derivative. Much less reliant on a killer solo and much more the crunchy grinding rolling guitars. And not the glam sleaze rock formula that they were the alternative too.
Yay finally some more 3 Doors Down!!! Here are some songs : Here without you / Landing In London/ When I'm Gone / Let Me Be Myself/ Behind Those Eyes / Let Me Go / Here By Me / Be Like That.
Their self titled album is fire!! Kryptonite, Duck And Run, Not Enough, Life of My Own, Better Life, Down Poison, Smack, So I Need You... and Loser which you just watched are all absolute killer songs! Smack was always a particular favorite. For Rob Thomas, Matchbox 20 has some great songs Bent, Unwell, 3am is amazing, and you should also check out the piano version Rob does as well as the album both are great. Push is another great song as well as If You're Gone.
3 Doors Down sing music with deep meanings and beautiful rock (I can't describe it any other way). They reached so many kids in the 90s. Their greatest songs are 'Here without you," "Changes," "Its Not My Time," and "When I'm Gone."
I know Brad & mrs. Arnold personally and I’m so happy to see people just learning of his music. Brad is such a genuine, kind, soft spoken dude who deserves all the love he gets. Check out “it’s not my Time “ or “Duck & Run” for BANGERS with awesome messages behind them.
That whole album is amazing. Whoever wrote the songs was in a dark place. It was exactly what i needed when it was released. I hope they recovered from the depression.
small point of correction, technically they are a 2000s band, their first album released in 2000. We got to see them in concert, and it was incredible. The band Safetysuit opened for them, another lesser known gem.
this song and creed songs, .... got me through school and life . I was bullied from K- 11th grade. I was quiet, shy, in special ed., had family stuff going on at home, .... This makes me a little emotional now i haven't heard this in yearsss - my 13 yr old daughter has mental health problems so she struggles.
Greetings Jay and Amber Rob Thomas is from Matchbox 20. The Carlos Santana and Rob Thomas song is "Smooth". 3 Doors Down was a late 90's / early 2000s Rock band. While Matchbox 20 (Twenty) was early 90s. In an indirect way, it can be viewed as 3 Doors Down inheriting the feel of Matchbox 20 with a much harder edge in most of their songs. Both of their lyrics had depth and went beyond the immediate meaning of the song. Thanks for getting back to this amazing band.
In 2008 they did a song specifically for the National Guard called Citizen Soldier. One of my favorites from 3 doors down, you should definitely give it a listen.
Amber and Jay really are the best reactors on CZcams. They’re both great, and Amber is so extraordinarily insightful in her comments. They’re both very, very good people. You can just tell. And Jay befriending the students who struggle to be heard and listened to is just awesome. Kindness and compassion is what our country needs much more of.
1985 Simply Red Holding back the years An amazing song from nearly 40 years ago I was 23 when I first heard this song and I still listen to it occasionally could you play the song his vocals were truly beautiful That song that Rob Thomas did with Carlos Santana was called Smooth
Many don't know who dark this song really is. 3 doors down, always has a message in their songs. Great band. Great songs It's Not My Time, and Away From the Sun.
"Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down is a Must reaction if you love the band - it's probably their best song - Alex Lifeson Guitar Player for RUSH Helped Produce 3 Doors Down for a few songs
Duck and Run is their best song to me. I have the extended version of this song they didn't release where the guitar solo goes on for like a min longer which i think is way better than the radio release. Watched these kids in local clubs before they were big in our hometown in Mississippi. Great guys, always gracious.
Saw em at Janis landing when they first hit. That album was on repeat in my 300 ZX for 2 years. Awesome song. I was in a really dark place at the time. One of the best shows I've seen and my first concert was Zeppelin in Tampa Fl in 73. I was 13. No adult supervision. Saw Floyd 4 times first in 73 so I've seen the best.
Another 90s band you have not paid enough attention to is Dave Matthews Band. Please react to more of their music. You have only done one, and they are nominated for the Rock and roll hall of fame this year.
The world needs more J and Ambers. Such a great couple. I began your journey with you for the music and am coming away with how our society still has people that understand compassion, mutual respect, benefit of the doubt, rather than judgment. ❤
HIGHLY recommend HERE WITHOUT YOU, my favorite 3 Doors Down song. This was one of my favorite bands in the 90s, in my teens. I grew up on music from all genres and decades and have been loving revisiting a lot of my favorite music on your channel! You both have great taste in music!
3 Doors Down (Here without you )was our first dance at our Wedding you’re right about different songs mean different things to people! Give it a reaction sometime it’s a brilliant tune and what a voice 🥰
I really like how they included a teacher feeling alone as well, not just the kids. Unfortunately that feeling still exists even into adulthood. Thanks for reacting to this one.

Going through high school as a loser when this came out we just coveted the band for their sentiments and see them succeed is why I joined my band mates to begin with.
i grew up about 30 miles or so from where these guys grew up at. They lived on the Mississippi side and i live on the Alabama side of the state line. Goes without saying they were really popular around my little part of the world. The Escatawpaw river forms the state line here. I spent a many a sunny summer day canoeing, fishing, and swimming on that river when i was a younger man.
I can see how hard this hit Jay!! He and Amber have such caring souls! "Underrated" is an overused term, but 3 Doors Down really is! HAHhaha!! Finding empathy, not expressing your feelings but able to express other peoples different from your own, is something I feel is missing in modern music. Great song, great video!

I wish I still had that disc!! 🤦🏻♂️
“Here without you” is another great one.
One of the greatest power ballads of all-time! 😎🔥🤘🎸
That whole album is great.
Yes 👆👆
"Kryptonite" is their biggest hit, and "here without you" is right there behind it

When I’m gone! That is a good one.
Behind Those Eyes, Citizen/Soldier, It’s Not My Time, When You’re Young, Round and Round
Can't forget Everytime you go and Champion in me
This song was released in 2000. That's 24 years ago. Who feels old?
Me
F**k man I'm 60, bet I feel old even to you, still rockin though!
I’m going to be turning 22, and even I feel weird that 2000 is 24 years ago
Hah! 😂 Pushing 50 now, I'm old. Lol. I remember this tune.
First album I ever got, I was 9 lol
You’re talking about the song Smooth with Rob Thomas and Carlos Santana 🔥🎸

Hmm. Now I'm trying to remember if they've done any Slipknot yet. Either way, it's time for some!
I totally agree, Stone Sour is a really introspective band with a sound totally different than Slipknot. Damn good band.
I never knew that two of the members were apart of slipknot I’ve never really tried listening to slip knot but through the glass and wicked games acoustic version are some of my favorite songs on my playlist so I definitely gotta check out slipknot now

My eldest daughter was one of those kids. Quiet. Loved reading. I appreciated teachers like you.
"Kryptonite!!! "best 3 Doors Down song
I totally agree, that was one of my oldest sons favorite song.
I agree! Always thought of Superman when heard.
But not the live version.
@@cnfowler The official video is so cool anyways
Nah to me its citizen soldier
“Kryptonite” and “It’s Not My Time” are bangers! Great song and reaction!

There's a group from the 90's called Tonic. You Wanted More is a great song! 👍
"More than I could give " 🎶🎵🎸

“if You Can Only See” is probably their best song and the one that put the band on the hit music map.
