Just turned my 13 yr old grand daughter onto your channel..suddenly she wants to hang with grandpa and go flying and shes asking tons of questions after she binge watched your videos...thanks for being a positive influence for young women in aviation...have a great holiday !
This MADE MY DAY! I wish I could go back in time and start in aviation so much earlier, so it means the world when I’m able to help do that for others. I hope you both have fun flying together, you sound like an awesome grandparent!!
This is so cool!
Stevie, thanks for your video.
FYI; the upper aft corner of your pax door has got the shakes sometimes in flight which can induce cracking of its frame.

Having a 17 year old daughter just beginning her ground school, you have been such an inspiration to her, thank you. Seeing everything she has to complete ,I now see all of your sacrifice and dedication. I am so thrown back at the level you are at. I wish you safe journies and marvelous explorations
Thank you so much, that means a lot! I hope ground school and flight training goes well for your daughter, that is so exciting! Those first few hours of flight training are some of the most exciting flight hours I'll ever have!
@@bayflight Great channel You worried about your nails I always wondered what do fliers do when they need a rest room in flight :)
@bayflight
During flight training, is it a requirement to;
'feather the prop'?
@@thelastrebelshow1627 your 4 year old daughter does
@@bradbarnett5464not on the Cessna 140. But the Bonanza requires feathering the prop during the run up.
Stevie, this video is pure joy to watch....I am struck by the fact that a young professional like you enjoys the most basic of aviation experiences by owning and flying not one but two vintage airplanes all over the country...I'm guessing that that First Officer on the CRJ wishes she could do the same! Your sincere appreciation of flying low and slow, genuinely engaging with everyone you meet , and your professional skills in the cockpit are a great example for others. Thanks for allowing this old guy and all your other subscribers to ride along.
You took the words right out of my mouth sir. Greetings from London
Do you like flight the serves either Lunch, Mid-flight snacks, and then Pre-arrival Snacks or Dinner, Mid-flight snacks, and then breakfast before arrival forms for Asia, Europe, or the United States, Stevie?
You are a very competent pilot. Whoever trained you did a great job. Keep inspiring young people its great for our community of pilots. Thank you.
The most attractive trait of this young lady is her upbeat and kind attitude to everyone she encounters.
Having just seen Blancolirio’s video about TNFlygirl, it’s reassuring to see how professional Stevie is.
She is filming but never complacent. And her ATC conversations are another level
Not to mention she’s a natural at flying. Very strong stick and rudder skills.
Just watched it last night, So sad.
I saw that too. So said. Stevie is a pro
It takes 5 seconds to see that she is on another intelligence level.
TNFlygirl was daft and slow.
TNFlygirl was about being famous this woman is about flying
Stevie it really warms my heart to see your 140 restored with such love. My family had a 140 before I was born in 1950. During ww2 he worked at Boeing in Wichita Ks. and when he, my Mom and my sister came to CA. To go to work for North American Aviation at LAX they brought the 140 straight from the Cesna plant. When I was 3 yrs old we went to Hawthorne Airport where it was stored in one of the Carousel hangers. I used to love to run to back of the hanger and ride it around to the front door. When I was 9 they bought me a USAF uniform and took a photo of me standing next to our red, white and black 140. In 1969 I enlisted in the USAF and my first duty station was at McConnell AFB where I could see both the Boeing and Cesna plants everyday. So many good memories. One more thing one of our family friends had a beautiful Mooney M20. A real rocket. I was also in love with Bellancas. Socal was such a great place to grow up. I live 1/4 miles from Zamparini field in torrance and always look up when I hear an aircraft. From a USAF Viet Nam Vet thank you for taking care of such a wonderful aircraft. I finally had to turn in my Pilots license in 2017 after a heart attack after my wife passed away.
About a month ago I discovered your channel. I'm 75 and got my ticket in 1977. Never have owned a plane, though. I am very impressed with your professinalism and the orderly and organized manner you deal with your planes and the ATC system. You are a sterling example for all pilots, new and old. Your situational awareness is, as I see it, exemplary. Best wishes for continued success with the channel and your "fleet!" BTW 77A is gorgeous. Superb job. She looks factory fresh. Obviously you love her. We can talk about your Bonanza some other time. Stay healthy and fly safe!
It's so amazing how so many airport ATC follow Stevie, she's the queen of the skies, loved by all the aviation community. The ATC talk getting into Kansas was a lot to comprehend and yes complicated. I always find all that chatter to be the most difficult aspect to general aviation. Air looked heavy and humid and Stevie confirmed that on the ground. As always the landings, scenery and aircraft were beautiful.
Queen of the skies? Bro is really trying hard lmfao.
She looks burned out from all that very slow and noisy flying, which makes it even more incredible how she makes it look so fun in her video. I’ve flown these slow tail draggers and they are definitely not fun in cross country trips.
@@tax54321 Haha! Thought the same thing. Stevie knows what to do to get views.
@@ratratrat59 what are you babbling about?
@@ratratrat59 no. I asked a question. You wrote some nonsense about her being white.
In America we use a “?” To denote a question.
Give it a try.
Stevie is really on top of the game, radio communication, pilotage is amazing! She is always way ahead of the airplane. Not arrogant! Truly setting the bar!
I’m 17 and just passed my private pilot checkride. Your videos have inspired me from the beginning!
Greetings Stevie! I kinda feel like I’m late to the party but I just discovered your channel and I love it! I’m a former GA pilot who got his license back when I was 16. I have a heart condition now which has relegated me to Sim Flying but I really enjoy your videos and your professionalism and flight etiquette are outstanding! Please keep up the great work and fly safe!❤
Stevie, you know you're doing something right when the commercial pilots recognize and follow you! Good on you for being so professional in your interactions with both controllers and other pilots like you were with the Otter coming up behind you.
@@andred3299Watch the video and find out.
First time watching. I really like how you talk out loud about everything going on so those of us without flying experience get to see a lot of what goes into it. Every landing was perfection.
That plane is super sweet!
My 87 year old mother makes Christmas stockings for all the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. The latest addition to the family is a beautiful little girl. Mom was concerned because she felt the pattern she had was for a boy since it had a prop airplane on it. I told her flying is for girls too and I showed her a video you did flying into Oshkosh. She was very impressed with your professionalism and your skillful handling of the aircraft. Now she is excited to complete the stocking. I hope one day it inspires the little one to one day reach for the skies.
I like how you don't focus on just yourself, but all the fine, first class, and very professional tower & ground personnel.
Safe Travels wherever you may go, Gorgeous!
I don't know what it is, but something about these videos is so...calming. I love everything about them. Thank you, Stevie!
Stevie could you do a video explaining how you plan for a trip like this?? That would be cooool
That's a great idea!
Every time I planned a cross country in a Cessna or Piper it changed dramatically. Weather, comfort breaks, fuel prices, VFR daylight preferences and the traffic near any Class B had profound impact on planning. Some small airports have a courtesy car which Stevie could drive to get her nails done-up.
I wonder if they are very cautious with their vectors since the 747 landed at the wrong airport?
Stevie, your landings are always empressive.
You got the crucial alignment of the longitudinal axis to the runway axis perfect, and always three pointers and no ballooning. Awesome skills!
Mighty impressive landings and radio work! 👍
Dear Stevie, I came across you entirely by accident - I used to fly with my dad decades ago and this is the closest thing to being there again. I love your professionalism, that you do it right, that the videos are beautifully produced - and those landings are a joy to watch. Thank you so much for taking the time to do it well and for sharing your lovely aircraft; it's inspiring.
I know the feeling - decades ago (back in the 50's), I used to fly in small planes, with my Dad (WWII pilot of P51's and DC-3 / C -47) at the controls. We were also in a CAP squadron at the time. THAT is when flying was fun - when you're just a couple thousand feet up and can see everything below you on the ground, etc.
Can’t even recall how many times I flew from ABQ to Dalhart in my Citabria or my Cessna 170B thru the years between 1970-1995. I was normally enroute to New Jersey, but this was normally the first leg of my trip from Coronado Airport in Albuquerque to Dalhart. Great to see this video retracing the route in a Cessna 140. Thanks for sharing.
Stevie, thank you as always for leaving your radio calls in and unedited. I’m studying for my private now and each radio call I hear helps! (Shouldn’t be nerve-inducing for me, a ham radio operator, but it can be!)
I love the fact that you put in most all of your radio work !! It's good to see ,( hear ) , a lot of the people I follow skip over their radio calls !!
Stevie - You keep "nailing" those landings, in a tail dragger no less. 🤗
Your videos are awesome. I was a US Air Force instructor pilot 40 years ago, and you have that special skill of being able to fly and talk at the same time. Please keep the videos coming.
So cool watching Stevie get the shout outs from her fans!
That last air traffic controller was GREAT. Loved the way he worked you through that.
I work with him! Hes one of the best controllers we have!
Hi Stevie, fantastic video as always. I never tire of seeing how you maintain / check the aircraft, listening to the radio conversations, seeing the amazing scenery during your journey (quite different to here in the UK) and how efficiently you run through checklists and manage everything that's going on. About a year ago, you were part of the inspiration in my taking up pilot training, and I succeeded in completing my first solo last week in a C152 (at the tender age of 67). So please keep the content coming when you have time as I have a lot more to learn from you!
Stumbled across your channel a year ago and have been hooked ever since. So many wholesome moments in this video. Loved it!
I can’t believe that I haven’t seen your channel before today..! Of course I have subscribed and watched most of your videos now.
You are one of the most talented and professional pilots I have ever seen. The takeoffs and landings is bang on centerline, not to mention your radio calls, your such a gifted pilot.
I really searched for mistakes, but couldn’t find anyone! Even the beautiful plane and the editing of videos makes me smile.
You have my greatest respect, hats off to you pilot😊😊😊✈️

With the recent loss of another you tube flyer, so thankful you are a cautious pilot, and very thorough in following procedures. Safe travels Stevie, always enjoy your content.
I was so saddened to hear of her passing - such a tragic incident that we can all learn a lot from. I'm sure it will be a while until the official report comes out, but I think it will be a sobering read when it does.
Agreed Stevie, it did appear she was often quite distracted. As you show in your videos, flying is something that requires 100% concentration. I hope others learn from this tragic loss of life. Merry Christmas my friend!
@@alrad5686 Merry Christmas to you as well!
I love watching your flights. Being a former pilot here in Canada brings back a lot of fond memories.
You flew right through my area! I live north of Dumas 70 miles and west of Liberal 100 miles. We normally have really dry heat but this summer we got above normal rain fall and the humidity was absolutely insane. Most times it’s just windy. And being you were busy flying and navigating to Dumas and didn’t have time to stop and Google the pronunciation you were actually saying it correctly when saying it like Do-Mus! Great video and always get excited when I see people on CZcams fly through my area!
looking forward to this one and the rest in the series. Safe flights.
Thank you! Hope you enjoy the new video!
Following you from Macedonia (small European country), really love your positive vibes, the views from the cabin, makes me wanna become a small airplane pilot even though im probably a bit late since im 27. Cheers, Stevie, looking forward to more of your uploads, hopefully a bit more often haha
I had forgotten about this amazing aircraft. Started my flying career in the 140 in 1962. Retired in the 747 as captain. Good luck, you just never know. 👍👍👍
I can watch these flight videos all day I love listening to the radio communications.
Thanks for sharing! Appreciate you including a lot of your radio work with ATC. Always trying to improve my comm work and it’s nice to follow along. Keep it up! 🤙
Nice landing, lady. I enjoyed this. I haven't flown in 27 years... time flies!
Ok, that transition at 13:45 with the engine shutting down/ music score was editing genius! 🔥
Stevie... I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos... You're an inspiration to all ages and to all Pilots...it is hard to tell which is prettier..your cessna or you...both are beautiful....stay safe....J&A
About 40 years ago, as a 100 hour private pilot with about 4 hours of tail wheel time, I bought a Taylorcraft BC12D in ABQ and flew it all the way to Barrow, Alaska. It was a great journey and the portion from Northern California all the way to the Arctic was done with no working radio or electrical system. Lots of fun and challenging memories of basic pilotage with a sectional, and a crummy compass. This was way before any kind of portable nav equipment. A total blast that still makes me smile when I think of it. Have fun and be safe in your plane!
Beautiful airplane, and great production quality with awesome editing!
Thank you so much!
Really appreciate your love of vintage aircraft, and how competent you seem to be at such a young age. You promote intelligent and careful piloting skill, I wish you well!
I'm so glad you upload AFTER you have mastered the flight controls of your plane. So sad about the CZcamsr from TN who uploaded her training or lack of it. She sadly lost her life because of all the distractions of flying, learning to fly and CZcams cameras watching her. Stevie you are such an inspiration to so many!
Such a tragic accident. I'm curious to read the NTSB report when it comes out - won't speculate on the cause until then. I think it'll be a sobering read and something we can all learn from, no matter what the cause may be
@@bayflight Juan Browne of blancoliro has had some informative comments on it.
Love watching you fly 😊! We need more timely vlogs if possible Stevie!
Love these cross-America flights, amazing landscapes. Great journey, thanks for filming it! 🛩💜
Cool! Brings back memories of my flying days in a Cessna 150. I once made a fuel stop in Liberal Kansas in 1967 flying from Amarillo Texas to the Denver area.
Nice flying. I noticed on your yoke shaft you have some rust. I had a similar issue on my Cessna 180. With a little Scotchbrite and Corrosion x I was able to remove it. Then I coated it with product from (no affiliation at all) from Everbrite called Protectaclear. I just used a little foam brush No rust spots since July 2019. Love your 140. Got my tail wheel endorsement in a 1946 C140 with an O200 in 2000.
The rust on the yoke has been bugging me so much, I'll give this a try! Thank you so much for watching and for the tip, I really appreciate it!
Looking like you have mastered your 3 point landings in the Cessna. Also liking the music you dubbed in. 😊
Hi Stevie! Complicated airspace at your last stop but you handled it like the pro that you are! Thanks for taking me along on this flight, great video, I felt like I was in the right seat the whole time 🤗 P.S. I’m glad the “lil ugly” name is no more, she’s a beauty!
That is a beautifully simple dash board. All the instruments you need and no more. Keep posting!
26:51 "got me lifting off the ground!" The song is perfectly synchronized. Nice touch!
I'm in awe of your professionalism
Thank you! I do my best to be professional and always continue to learn.
@@bayflight maybe one day I think you will be teaching, I think girls make better teachers than men, imo
All the Dumas stuff had me laughing 😂. Cool plane!
What a great plane, and this is my first time seeing those fancy digital gauges disguised as normal instruments, they are awesome!
Great video! It's wonderful to know what to expect on a long XCountry.
Thank you!
As always, you are a great ambassador to the aviation community.
I thought it was brilliant that ATC, after you advised you'd do a couple of 360s to get under the cloud, checked in to make sure you were okay. I'm sure that would be them ensuring you were still in VMC.
Beautiful aircraft and great going through the pass out of ABQ. Used to fly through there every week in my PA-28-235 Piper Cherokee N15410. Sure miss those days and flying back and forth from LBB (Lubbock) to ABQ (Albuquerque). I parked across from Al Unser and got to talk with him while our planes were warming up. Great runway and great place to fly. Best wishes !
That was awesome. Such professional radio work and great flying skills. And the Continental engines love those hot starts. My Cherokee 180 was a little finicky starting hot after fillups until I learned the right combination. Once they get your tail number wrong in the system, it's hard to get them corrected. Great job and it's a pleasure riding along. Keep up the videos!!
Don't bring your cameras into air-conditioning when on the ground. If the camera bodies and lenses get cold, you will get condensation when you go outside into warm, humid air. Once the cameras warm up, you'll get less condensation. I assume you'll might get some condensation if you descend rapidly into to the warm, humid air.
That makes so much sense, I didn't even think of that!
I learned this the hard way when first capturing the auroras in Alaska. Had to put it in a ziplock bag
Lovely I was dying waiting for new video 😊 finally here
Hope you enjoy!
I want to give that airplane a hug. It is prettier than a brand new Cirrus. They really knew what they were doing when they built those airplanes. Meticulous maintenance and restoration too. Amazing.
thanks so much Stevie, love flying with you in these videos,an they are very high quality..which is very appreciated
You are probably the only airplane a twin otter is able to overtake.
Beautiful plane!
Thank you!
Skywest pilots were so chill. For a regional I feel like they fly to some pretty remote and unusual airports. Great video as always your videos have helped me improve my radio communication!
Beautiful plane...beautiful flight...brings back fond memories of my days of flying when a young man..thanks for sharing.
10:04. I like your decision to drop under the clouds rather than over them. Even if they're scattered where you are, it's pretty easy for an air mass change or humidity change and they're suddenly impenetrable. I know you're IFR rated, but I don't think the plane is (?) and having to get an emergency IFR clearance to descend through clouds would be embarrassing. :-D.
She has an IFR rating but I believe I remember her saying that she' not current right now.
the Albequerquie tower crew is very polite and friendly
I agree! I've flown in and out of ABQ five times now and they have been great each time.
@@bayflightgiven this professionalism, I’m wondering what your experiences at KSQL have been. That’s where I did my trial flight years ago but I’ve heard unfortunate rumors recently.
I have not had great experiences at SQL. Not as bad as some of the videos you see on VAS Aviation, but definitely not great.
The airport is great and SCFC is fantastic, but the tower is so understaffed leading to a lot of problems from what I’ve heard
@@bayflight Do you know if SCFC does initial flight training in tailwheels? It will be a while, but I need to get a BL-65 and show how to do it right instead of doing it dirty, if you get the reference.
I flew my 172 from Farming NM to Keene, NH in 2005, two over nights along the way. It was beautiful I was happy that I had taken my IFR rating seriously since I had to make a landing if fog at one stop. Don't stop learning, go as far as you can and make sure you get checked out in other planes for all your ratings., including seaplanes and gliders.
This was one of the most enjoyable flying videos I’ve ever seen. Professional, humble, kind, respectful, thankful, etc! Very nice little airplane, love how updated it is! Blessings and prayers for your continued success and safety.

My dad flew Cessnas and took us kids along. That was 50 years ago. They look pretty much the same as back then. Beautiful plane - so clean.
Edit: oh, I see this plane is from 1949. That is so cool. Looks perfect.
I seem to recall stories of planes landing at the wrong airport in the Wichita area since they all have the same basic runway direction and are close together. It makes sense that they go out of their way to explain the setup to everyone coming into town.
That's a nice plane you have they did a nice job on the refit. It's nice to hear people recognise you on the Radio anyway you have a safe flying trip
Enjoyed meeting you at KLBL! Thanks for the mention!

I love following you, Stevie... queen of the skies! always fun tracking you! Love you you're so methodical.. I'd trust you with my kids!
I live in this area "Wichita" there are so many airports & privet runways & very small airports due to all the AC manufactures over the last 100 years. Where you landed has confused a lot of small & large aircraft. Glad to see you do so well. Have a good day.
Love flying with you and enjoying your progress and energy... tower chatter brings back memories... except to see you strap into a DC-3 any time soon!
2:15 The C140 offers more "smiles per mile" than the Bonanza, and is better for time building. Plus you spend more time enjoying the journey than in a Bonanza. Bonanza is about "get there;" C-140 is about "let's go fly."
Great video. glad you're sharing your adventure with those of us who are ground hogs. It takes a lot of confidence to fly a plane with wings held together with chop sticks.
So that little first airport was called "Dumas"?! Made me laugh. Dam such a beautiful weather and location, as soon as your in the air you want to be
walking on the ground. Nice flying, seem to be a lot of info to remember, not even place names, but shortened names with numbers thrown in!
Thanks for sharing part of your experience. ☺
I love how courteous you are with ATC. They are such great people and certainly deserve our respect. Thank you for being such a great Stewart for pilots.
