If your UE Boom won’t connect to your iPhone then watch this quick video and I’ll give you some tips you can try. One of the first problems why your speaker won’t connect through Bluetooth is that you may have previously had another speaker or device paired with it. To fix this, find the other device or devices nearby and simply turn off Bluetooth on that device. Then try to reconnect the speaker to your iPhone.
But what if you don’t have another device that’s been connected to your UE Boom or your phone shows it’s connected to your speaker but you still can’t get it to work? Something that might help is to unpair or disconnect the speaker from your phone. To do this go into the Bluetooth settings and find the name of your speaker in the device list. Tap on the Information button and then tap on Forget this device. Now power off your speaker and power it back on. At this point press and hold the Bluetooth button until the LED blinks. The UE Boom should be in pairing mode now. Go back into the Bluetooth settings on your phone and tap on the name of your speaker to connect.
If at this point you still can’t connect then a reset might be necessary. Here’s how to reset your UE Boom. Start with powering on your speaker. Then press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time until you hear a chime. The speaker will then turn off. At this point turn on the speaker and it will be reset to factory defaults. All previously connected devices are now deleted from the speaker. After you’ve completed the reset try to connect again. Hopefully at this point you’ll be able to get your speaker connected to your phone.

hi there, i was wondering if you knew anything about why I need to hard reset my megaboom everytime i try to connect to a new device? I generally have my megaboom3 connected to my phone, but sometimes I want to switch it to my ipad. I would tap the bluetooth icon so that it can get into pairing mode, but my ipad or laptop for that fact cant connect to my speaker. I would always have to hard reset it. Is it a firmware issue?
