  • Tripura Traditional Cuisine | Tiprasa Traditional Dish Mui Borok Hontali | Tribal Life Cooking
In this video I cook Tripura most popular traditional tribal food mui borok hontali with variety of vegetables and fermented fish. Mui borok is the traditional name of the Tripura dishes. The prime ingredient of Tripuri cuisine is Berma which is a fermented and dried fish. Although, apparently the flavor of Berma is unpleasant, but one cooked, the delicacy becomes mouthwatering. Fermented fish is that special ingredient which identifies a quintessential Tripuri cuisine. The original Tripuri cuisine is called Mui Borok by the locals. Characterised by its organic, mild, zesty, and distinctive aromatic flavor, these preparations of Northeast India can easily be considered the tastiest and healthiest food. The most interesting thing about a typical Tripura platter is the absence of oil and the generous use of herbs used in the recipes. As a result, while being tasty, a traditional Tripura cuisine is extremely healthy and digestive.
We two sisters put our best to highlight the traditional fooding system of Tripura cuisine. After completing cooking we eat our lunch in traditional style with banana leaf. This recipe is really delicious and healthy. One must try this recipe at home. Ingredients given below.
