I know I'm lost with no motivation to find my way back
I left myself down a paper trail of the pages of my mind
Now I want them back
I'm somewhere between no courage among the other things I lack
Lost in desperation where an ember turns to an ash
Somewhere along this path I crossed the line
Broken promises I've made without thinking twice
Left my second thought and reason behind all in the name of making this world mine
All in the name of building my own
Why do I think that I have to live this life alone
I know I'm lost
I know I'm lost
But what scares me the most is I'm starting to feel at home
I know I can't stay here forever
When we lose ourselves we find each other
I find this strange comfort in being lose in life
Wherever I end up will I belong there this time
So when you feel your heart sink into your chest
Don't forget everything is ok in the end
We are not ok
But this is not the end yet
We are not ok but this is not the end yet
I know I'm lost
I know I'm lost
But what scares me the most is I'm starting to feel at home
I know I can't stay here forever
When we lose ourselves we find each other
Directed by Rasa Acharya and Dan Kennedy - www.littleskyfilm.com/ - Hudba
I don't think any lyric will cheer me up faster than "when you feel your heart sink into your chest, don't forget everything is okay in the end. We are not okay, but this is not the end yet" This song has gotten me through so many of my toughest times and I can't thank the color morale enough for helping me when i need it most.
That specific lyric hits me so hard because you know, if you actually have gotten that feeling when your heart sinks into your chest you know how empty and alone you feel. When ever I feel it now I think of this lyric and it really helps. This band helped me so much
i feel you
Ik how you feel exactly they have saved me plenty of times
same
Still an incredibly beautiful song. If you're seeing this stay strong no matter what you're going through. :)
thx boiii. u 2 pls
I cried the first time I watched this...
A year later, it still hits hard.
I am here many years later and hits me more hard than ever before...to think I was around 21 when this came out and 30 now. Life goes very, very, fast.
I'd like to see a movie about the journey of these two soliders.
Am I the only one that noticed and loved the metaphor of depression as a wounded solder and his comrade being the support needed to help with it.
Mind=blown
Sam Desai If that was the intention, they goofed up by giving the "German" soldier an American gun (M1911).
+Sam Desai IMO i think it is 2 men from the 101st airborne in bastogne. Because the both don't have Winter cloths and have M1 grands
xD but i see what you mean. what you said is true xD
I completely agree with the depression aspect of the soldiers battling it together
These guys are a good live band. Their fanbase truly cherish them as well. One of the best bands I saw at this years Warped. Garret is a nice guy too.
I've seen and met them live twice they are honestly one of the most humble and coolest bands I had ever met.
+Lulu Alvarez Yea I've met Garrett and he's really nice. He really loves what he does. You can tell by talking to him just how passionate he is about his band and how appreciative he is of his fans
+Mason Likes Punk Rock believe me, I know. the first time I met them was 2 years back. a few months earlier, I lost my best friend in a freak accident and The Color Morale was one of the bands that helped me through the worst of the grieving. When I met them, I couldn't help but cry and tell them how grateful I was for having their music to get me through it and Garrett actually hugged me and told me that things will get better and that the experiences we go through only make us stronger and those are the words I carry to this day.
I love the color morale I wish they got a fucking 2 hour set at warped XD I cant wait for them to come back to my town. this comment made me happy!
+Barcasaur shit same here, I literally started to get all misty eyed when they played prey for me!
As a retired military veteran who go suffers from depression and anxiety, this song hits me in places I haven’t felt in a very long time. God bless these guys for putting words and rhythm to what we have been feeling all along.
first song I heard of this band. They are very good.
same here
Fight. Always fight. Never stop. No matter what. Always fight. Do not go easy into that goodnight.
Thank you..
I actually love his screams, they're so unique
As an actor, I would love to be in a music video for the Color Morale. These actors are lucky they had such deep and moving material to work with and be a part of. One of the only music videos to move me to tears. Much love
This song played a big part in keeping me going back in 2015. Hearing it now is proof that the meaning behind this song holds true with substance. Thank you The Color Morale.
this album is know hope!!! Garret rapp is very talented! and his screams are unique!
This song is literally on repeat for me.
The vocalist bought those pants directly before shooting this video. In the video he's stretching them....making sure there isn't any....Strange Comfort
Jamison Allison made my day hahaha
lol jesus
keep your clam in your pants
You go on now GIT
I love Garrett sm even tho he thought he had to be reminded that he was in Auburn not Seattle during warped tour 2014
This song LITERALLY kept me alive.
I'll admit, I am having a shitty day. This song always makes me feel a lot better because of the lines We are not ok, but this is not the end. This band is the big reason why I get up everyday and this song especially has been a motivator in my life for about 2 years. Amazing song, band, and people
Saw them last night live, they are fucking brilliant! Garret is such a sweetheart, I was in tears when he hugged me, he is such a huge inspiration to me and I'm sure many others. This song live was breathtaking, hope they come to the UK again soon.
This band has saved my life more then once...for instance tonight I am really down and they speak all of the words that I feel that need to be said...they are all very nice guys and I have the highest of respects for them..thank you The Color Morale for changing my life in the best of ways
Exactly my night
I saw these guys last weekend when they opened for the Devil Wears Prada and Motionless in White, and they kicked some serious ass. I meant to go say hi to Garret later on, but I felt no need after I met him in the pit with everyone else :) what an awesome guy.
Can't get enough of this song.
Can we just push everything aside and talk about how BEAUTIFUL THIS SONG IS?
3:07 Goosebumps every time.
Same here!
Saw them play last night in West Chicago for their first time in 7 years. I love these guys so much 🥹
7 years later and this song still brings me to tears. I miss when you guys were at this tone! 🥺❤️
I'd never seen the video for this before, but realizing it was set around the soldiers' story, I didn't think I was going to like it that much. Then 3:07 hit, and I don't think any music video has ever made such a lasting impression.
These guys know what the hell they're doing with their music and their message. This is fucking powerful.
I seriously can't even begin the express how I will feel when I see you guys live...
This song/his vocals = amazing. The entire album is really good.
Let me just say; this song is even more beautiful live. I didn't think it was possible, but it is.
This video just brought me to tears..
Garret is honestly one of the sweetest and most down to earth guys. I met him at a concert yesterday and discovered them and they are so talented and all amazing guys!
Here still ! Love this band
Yeah bro they were the goats
3:08 I cri errytime
Ada Palacios Fuck off
+Nysrough lol as soon as I read the comment boom, flood gates opened haha
MyStruggle,MyPride Band Srry xD
Same man XD
Shit man, i'm mainly a hardcore metalhead to the bone. Pantera, lamb of god, and usually i don't cry when i listen to metalcore, but this hit me in the feels man. Very powerful message. I can see why my best friend's brother loves the color morale.
+sha-d paul Hardcore metalhead!? Wut. People who listen to hardcore are called punks.
AlphaLeader772 everyone says hardcore to provide an intensity for how mych they love something, like a hardcore gamer or a hardcore skateboarder. Sorry for not making more sense. :p
sha-d paul
oh wait, i trough you meant hardcore like a genre :D
AlphaLeader772 i do love black flag and the descendants though. :D
Ayyy i saw you on the acacia strain's the hills have eyes
First band i've ever seen live... they blew me away with their beautiful performance.. They're simply incredible and their lives are so emotional... Thank you, TCM, for showing us how to know hope!
I've been listening to this band since they first came around. They really are my favorite. I highly praise them up and down.
All these years later, this still hits me as hard as it did that day in late June 2013 that I first discovered this 💚
I used to listen the song in 2013 too
dude this cid put me on the feels.... ;-;
VID*
Check out O'Kingdom man!
the feels from this song>>>
god they're so perfect
This is the best song in existence. Period.
This music video hits me fucking hard.
I used to play shows with these guys back in the day when they were called the killer apathy and they couldn't be cooler dudes. I get my hair cut by the bass player justin. Rockford represent!!!
me and my band are from the Rockford area too man. we just started setting up for recording covers. Rockford represent!
I heard about this band when my mates band got the chance to sing with the lead singer... I've been in love with them ever since! Amazing artists ❤️
One of the most emotional music videos ive seen in a while. Wanted to cry the first time I saw it.
i must say this is one of best music videos i have ever seen
If you don't have tears pouring off your face at the end of this video, you have no heart
How these guys are not more popular continually baffles me. They're so fucking amazing.
This song, album and band are saving my life for real
I found this band in Alternative press magazine. I thought I would look them to see if I liked them.
I loved the beat at the beginning, then I heard Garret start to scream, and already loved it. I continued to watch the video and that it was very heart touching. I will download every one of your guys songs. Can't wait to see you at warped!
saw them live at warped today and got to meet the lead vocalist afterwards he's a fucking awesome dude
Seriously! He's on of the nicest guys I've ever met. At your show did he just jump into the crowd at the end so he could walk to their merch booth with everyone?
Thomas Trinkkeller it is a BIT, but it's... different.
o: I'm so jealous Dx
i've been listening to this band for some time and I can say that these guys are SOMETHING! totally love their melodies! and their lyrics have a lot of meaning, Garret Rapp and his band have earned my respects deeply, I hope they continue to make music and keep supporting their fans!
You have to see this band live. Whenever I hear this song on my iPod, I melt a little because I remember how loudly I sang/screamed this song at Warped.
3:06
Fucking chills man, the timing of the music to the video was absolutely perfect
I think his clean vocals are so much better
just saw him today where he works! definitely one of the most humble people i've ever met. so much respect for him
3:07 GAVE ME CHILLS!! HIS VOICE IS AWESOME
this shit gives me chills every fucking time
People always shit all over metalcore by using Asking Alexandria and Falling in Reverse as examples why it is a "bad" genre, but overlook gems like Erra, August Burns Red, Northlane, The Color Morale, and even more great metalcore bands.
oR Parker BOTDF aren't metalcore :) They're somewhere near electronic music and crunkcore :D
Bluesparks AA isn't that bad though. :)
embie Asking Alexandria's first album was good, but they went downhill after that. They're just basically a rock band now.
Bluesparks Yeah, I don't like them that much now but their best album is Reckless & Relentless.
embie Reckless and Relentless is mediocre at best compared to Stand Up and Scream.
Bluesparks I liked more R&R :) It's just a matter of opinion I guess. I liked Morte et Dabo and To The Stage the best and on Stan Up... I don't like even one song.
Soldiers have different uniforms... I didn't noticed that in 3 years... awesome...
definitely their best video to date.
Good band. The guy with the beard on guitar looks like the ghost hunter from Insidious lmao.
LOL you are so correct.
He looks like Jack from Achievement Hunter
Does anyone else notice that they are wearing different uniforms? German and Russian uniforms. The beanie obviously belongs to the Russian and the cap belongs to the German (this is set in WWII era).
Look at the helmet the "Russian" soldier throws down at the very beginning. It's British doe
The feels I get from this video are unbelievable.
3.07 is the most touching moment in any music video i've ever seen. I love singing along but it always puts a lump in the throat.
I love this song and I never really watched the video but god damn it's so sad I cried 😭
3:05-3:12 This part of the music video is just the fucking greatest
im a 22 dude and that part makes me almost cry everytime lol
my insides went so cold when i saw that...
+SY Lol me too. Its such a great way how it seems as if he did shoot
7thCodFan7th i just saw the color morale 1 hour ago and I took a picture with Garret :) fuck yeahh!
One of my fav songs ever. Wish their newer music was a bit heavier, but still loving their positive messages. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this band four years ago.
This song gives me the feels every time.
What scares me most. Is trying to hit these notes.
I know, I know I cant stay.... ON THIS MEASURE!
They are really good live and doesn't sound at all like all the other Rise artists!
Hey, The Acacia Strain is pretty good.... I mean they don't sound alike.... just saying.....
They are absolutely horrible live. I've seen them twice.
Jacob Borrego TCM or The Acacia Strain?
Desiree Longbottom TCM. The Acacia Strain is really good live.
for the fallen dreams is good too!!
Litterally cried to this its so good
That word has been used before both our lives on earth, feel free to do what you want.
Omg when I saw the part where he put the gun to his head too..... tears just hit me...... Dammit!
The Color Morale + I the Mighty. MAKE IT HAPPEN
I saw these guys in concert back in October of last year opening up for Nothing More. Once you see these guys live you just cannot get that live experience while you're just listening to their audio or watching a music video.
This song is hands down one of my favorites ever. It really speaks to me in an amazing way. Thanks so much TCM.
i crowd surfed with the lead sings after he pulled me up today, warped tour 2014
I saw them again this year at warped tour
fuck this song is just so powerful
2024 still hits harder than ever....this is the song I want played at my funeral so nobody will ever have to wonder or ask themselves why?
I'll get my closure and so will they....I'm not planning anything but one day I know something is jut gonna click...I'll slip beneath the notice of everyone and everything and embrace the freedom of darkness and silence and no more pain...that's the closest thing to peace I'll ever comprehend
i saw them yesterday, its really rare when a bands live performance sounds better then their studio
Found you guys through bryanstars. Loved the interview, great stuff
HANSOL LOL HIYA THERE
People shit on OM&M new song because it's generic. Then they shit on TCM because they sound different.
I like both bands. I listened to Of Mice & Men first, but I'm always looking for new music. People who listen to one genre of music and just go around talking bad about stuff they don't like bore me. They are simple minded fools that need to open up their minds.
People will always find a reason to bitch
Oh God, right in the feels....
The video. The lyrics. The individuality of the bands sound. All good things.
When these guys are getting billions of views on their videos, i will be the one saying i told you so.
Good to hear a band that does not have that clogged nose whiny voice..
THANK YOU. FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT. I mean really that voice became like THE punk voice (unfortunately).
This isn't whiny? I think he's kinda whiny, not overly but slightly.
Garrett Rapp is one of the best singers in this genre IMO. He blows Tyler Carter and Johnny Craig out of the water.
This song kept me going through all the shit I've been going through. I'm so fortunate to have found them all these years ago.
Man, this band is really phenomenal/fantastic!
Who's cutting onions next to me ;-;
at least we know what messi can do when he retires lol :)
I'm in love with this band agh.
This song really hits home. Describes the despair I'm in right now. Endless void of depression and sadness going through me, but this song just...blows that all away. Thank you The Color Morale, so...much. I won't give up and will believe that no matter what everything will be ok in the end.
Is it just me or the vocalist looks like Messi?
+AlphaLeader772 Yeah I see it lol
Who listen to this in 2019?
Me ☝
The lyrics to the song are really deep and you can tell how much Gareth has been going through
heart gripping video and inspirational song
I will forever have love and respect for this band. All the band members and fans are some of the most loving people you will ever meet.
No matter how I’m feeling this band clears my mind and just makes me feel good.
This band is 100% amazing
I first heard this song from you guys live in Oregon. It gave me goosebumps then and 7 or 8 maybe even 9 years later i still get the same feeling listening to this gem. I love you guys and I hope you guys never give up!
