As she's a complete learner and new to the world of cars, it's pretty scary being a teacher but today was different... On my roommate's SECOND DRIVE EVER, we took to the streets for her first drive ever!

She drove well for first time in a manual.....most drive an auto and usually stick to an auto.

She did good, better than I did when I learned. Her panic attack is something we all get driving sometimes. I usually get anger attacks to be honest.
Its easy to get confused and flustered in the beginning there is a lot to remember, practice practice

One question tho, why is her seat so far up. She looks cramped, and it's not a relaxed driving position. Put the seat back a little...
It’s not an auto, maybe she can’t reach the clutch any farther back.

I hope she gets better at it, but learning to drive in a WRX doesn't make sense. It's a car meant to be driven by someone who isn't afraid, and learning to drive can be challenging enough without the added pressure of handling a high-performance vehicle like the WRX. The attention the car attracts and the power it has can be overwhelming for a beginner. I wish her the best of luck, but that's not an ideal choice for her!
i have to say the wrx is not the best Learner car, expecially one with a bigger turbo, but is a rewarding experience nonetheless. Wait isnt there like a power to weight limit in Vic for L and P drivers?
Yes, Provisional plate drivers in Victoria cannot drive any vehicle if the engine produces more than 130 kilowatts per 1000 kilograms weight. If this GC8 was stock and unmodified (160kw), it would be P plate legal. But this car has an afternarket exhaust and bigger turbo, and Clay said in this video it makes 200kw, therefore based on this cars weight of 1270kg, it equates to 157kw per tonne. Not P plate legal.
Maybe put the camera away, that would be a distraction for starters, no to mention illegal.

She needs way more practice before on the streets. Very dangerous for you both and other drivers and that poor clutch 🥴 she needs to have more parking lot practice for sure. Scary
I’ve never seen somebody who’s so disconnected from even the pedals 😂 how do you not just understand which pedal you’re pressing, or to look both ways. She needs more practice, wow this was painful
