@@JohnFreedman0I'm just floating this thought. Would the fact that there's a lot of older reps be due to the fact that it takes a considerable amount of money to run for anything these days. Probably alot of good folks who would do a great job for the country in the elected position just don't have the bucks required to get in the race. Don't know what the answer is but it sure doesn't look good atm.

The only real debate is with Reagan, and I’m stretching to find any policy of his that has lasted till today. Winning the Cold War is about the easiest plaudit you can give him, but that also had something to do with the Soviets collapse. LBJ created effective public policy, but you could hardly call him popular, especially during the Vietnam war. Clinton and both Bushs were popular among enough among their party, but hardly created an lasting domestic policies/programs, and certainly did things to anger the other political faction (Monica Lewinsky and both wars in Iraq- although Bush 41 had international support for his). Jimmy Carter? good man, but bad economy and high inflation (Biden’s inflationary cycle has not been nearly as bad and probably won’t last nearly as long and fundamentally, the economy is better in 2023 than in 1979). Unfortunately, you’re probably right.
The two party system has been so dominant for so long that it’s very unlikely anytime soon other parties will take off.
Not to mention the electoral college makes it basically impossible for third parties to win

This is good thinking but we need to accommodate the fact of the spoiler effect. Two similar parties divided the vote, giving the election to the 3rd (last!) place fnisher. There are many examples. For instance without Perot, Clinton would have lost.

I like Yang’s thinking. Personally I can’t vote for Biden or Trump. I’m 70 years old and think it’s about time to let a younger generation start running the show. I also believe we should put an age limit on all politicians of 70 years old. We have an age limit on the young side it’s time to cap it on the top side.

Yang has a vision worth articulating and exploring. Problem is that neither the Republican or Democratic Party, has the ability to articulate a vision for these perilous and dangerous times. There are too many folks in both parties entrenched in existing and frankly no longer functional political environment; how does a new and vital vision for democracy emerge at this crucial time? Where are the voices to articulate such a vision?

Andrew should run as an independent in 2024.
The Democrat Party and major media misrepresented him. Major media presented him as John Yang, removed from Graphics, weren't willing to run a poll when only needed 1 more to get on debate stage. They do not deserve loyalty.
Andrew began as an unknown outsider, outperformed the sitting vice president while being misrepresented., built a large following and have the name recognition now unlike the 2020 run.
A No Labels Party with Yang as the Presidential choice would be a great alternative no matter who the Republican or Democrats put forward.
