  • Here's my reaction to Season Finale of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live titled "The Last Time." In this episode Rick and Michonne need to perform a near impossible miracle.
    Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this conclusion to the story. It felt extremely rushed and the writing was incredibly bad, all these years of buildup wrapped up with an explosion. We also got the happy ending with Rick & Michonne but the fact it was only a two minute reunion scene proves how rushed the story was.
    The show itself is definitely mixed for me, the tone completely changed throughout the show and I think that just made it feel slightly inconsistent too. The acting is obviously stellar as usual but after 6 years of waiting for this show, I'm just underwhelmed by how it wrapped up... I hope you enjoy the reaction!!

    The main issue for some TWD fans is that they create their own narrative and are disappointed when their theories, ideas, and predictions don't match the actual story. Everyone is customizing their own version instead of taking it at face value.

      It's kinda crazy but understandable to me that ppl would be mad at how Beale and the CRM were dealt with. You knew it was almost the end of the 10yrs of military reign & time for the CR to take over.
      ALL the corrupt leaders were in one place and Michonne can make use of bombs.
      They never needed to fight a huge war they needed to get rid of Beale's private force that did his dirty work and wiped out innocent ppl. Okafor said in ep 1 that the majority of the military wasn't aware or apart of the mass killings.

      bingo.
      i've been telling people since 2019 that crm didnt matter and was just there as window-dressing and keeping lincoln alive after deciding to walk away.
      a blind man could have seen this coming. gurira and lincoln only came back for this little jaunt to put a nice little bow on the whole thing. they even said so from the beginning - but that didnt stop people from thinking this would end up being way more than was promised.
      like an upcoming trainwreck visible from 20 miles away.

      I loved the episode! My favorite episode of all. And no, I don't want another season. Why? So that they can tear the family apart? No. Leave them. Family can show up in the other spin offs. I've been hearing a lot of fussy talk, whining, and a few tantrums today. I can't believe it. It was said to be one season (it has 6 shows). I guess a romance mini series (not into romance here). I was watching for the family connection (reunion). I hit the jack pot!! I got it. I'm happy! Some are mad at the CRM (Sandlot...remember the movie). Get over it. A big thank you to everyone that did enjoy the season (mainly this episode). At 64, I'm too old for all this complaining... Also, thank you to everyone's reactions and reviews!! You are much appreciated!

      No, the show was insanely rushed for something we waited 6 years for. They spend more time on random flashbacks and unnecessary sex scenes instead of a reunion we’ve been waiting for.
      People keep saying the same AI response of “it’s not about the CRM, it’s about Rick & Michonne.” Which doesn’t prove anything other than people are willing to defend bad writing because it’s their fav characters.
      If this was any other walking dead show that didn’t have these characters, everyone would hate it due to the poorly executed story.

    Hey dude what you want !! There are many things in the whole world of twd that not belong to the logic .. so take it easy .. beale doesn't have any security and no security in the tent because all the soldiers are preparing for the conferences and didn't give a shit for anything else (because this is the safest place on the planet like Jades said)
    And about the grenade, rick covered himself with the walkers ... and also it is possible that he took this grenade from some walker who was late and far away from him, so he was not affected
    So take it easy dude and enjoy the show and the happy ending !!

    to be honest, the ending left a strange feeling, although I wouldn’t say that the text is downright terrible, and 6 episodes were not enough for this story

    I've never seen someone review a show and complain about EVERYTHING. After a few minutes I was done.

      It's literally just an opinion right after I finished the episode hence it being all over the place. I even say that I'm being super negative and it's more initial impressions than a review. But I wasn't satisfied at all with this finale and the only thing carrying this whole episode is the acting & music.
      The show's tone completely changes compared to Episode 1 and makes it look like a CW story when it comes to the writing with "love doesn't die" meanwhile Rick is fighting for his life.

    there are some advantages in Beel's death , now there is intrigue about what will happen in the crossover and who will be the main evil , I really hope that the main evil will be fast zombies , for me this is very cool , this cooler than human villains

    i honestly hope they make a season 2 cuz there's so much they still could work on, they killed Beale too soon. if they continue i wonder if they would make Mason the new villain? i don't think the Military is done yet there's still so many of them. what about Silas, Morgan and Elizabeth? i was so excited to see them play a big part in this but nothing and also what about Heath and the PPP?. how cool would it be if season 2 was The Commonwealth going in war against the CRM? and then Portland joining and helping The Commonwealth after learning the truth they were the next big city to be a target after Omaha's destruction, cuz Iris would tell them everything

      There's no way she's alive after being stabbed and left in the chlorine gas, also with the walkers in the area it's highly unlikely she'll return.
      It was weird she even survived the explosion and had time to get a gas mask but whatever I'll ignore that.

    the moment with the grenade was stupid, but with the explosion I was still okay because they and Thorne went behind the container and it withstood the explosion

      Yeah, I find it a little weird. I have the real world knocking me upside my head; I don't need this miniseries to measure up to reality. From morning to end...I get enough of the real deal. It's a fantasy show...not an investment. It's OK if one did not like it...something else will come along that you do like. It was impossible for all of us to be pleased. I do understand because I felt this way about Daryl Dixon. I'm like what is this junk? I really don't want sightseeing, right now. But I'm glad I stuck with it because I loved 4, 5 and 6 (episodes). It's a little crazy (feelings toward the ones who lives-finale), but time with help...for those in need (to let it go...).

    *TWD fans are obsessed.* Actors don't want to be 'typecast'. Terry O'Quinn knows a bit about that... I would not be surprised if at some point in the future, once he ACTUALLY RETIRES, he says he wouldn't have taken the role if his character was a 'Recurring' one. They are ACTORS, they are not the characters they play and they don't want to be STUCK in one role for their whole career. This is not a 'Soap Opera'.

    • @PantherFilms
      @PantherFilms  Před 4 měsíci

      You do know what typecast means right? Beale being around for 1-2 extra shows is nothing compared to his time on Lost so that wouldn't even be a typecast considering Beale is a very different character in general. And the soap opera thing is kinda weird considering that's basically what Walking Dead is known as nowadays due to the story not ending and constantly repeating the same storylines.

    • @Ms.Byrd68
      @Ms.Byrd68 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@PantherFilms The only people, *in these comments over the years,* who have ever complained that TWD is or was a 'Soap Opera' have been dedicated HORROR fans. And the first thing people said when they heard that 'Terry O'Quinn' was playing a character in this show was... *_OH JOHN LOCKE!_* That's 'typecasting'. When the Audience and the Casting Directors can only see an Actor as his/her LAST or most famous role they have been 'Type-casted'. It can prevent them from getting other TOTALLY DIFFERENT roles. Even though William Shatner finally seemed to break out of that 'mentality' with _Boston Legal_ he is STILL identified today as _Captain Kirk!_ Leonard Nimoy didn't get 'roles' because people couldn't get past SPOCK. TWD fans don't want their characters RE-CASTED, Terry may not have wanted to be STUCK playing another ICON TV ROLE.

    I got emotional when Rick reunited with Shane’s daughter. Grimes and Walsh together again just like season 1 & 2. 🥲🥲🥲
