In 1990 when I was 15, I had the most advanced surfboard in my area and it was shaped by Ben APA. It was a Brad Gerlach beveled rail surfboard Town and Country. I was going down the line so fast Against the Wind and I went to do an off the lip and I did a huge tail High air reverse and I landed backwards and then spun it back around immediately and I knew it was awesome but then I doubted it and I thought it was a kook because it was not a big straight air like Christian Fletcher did in the magazines so I thought it was stupid even though it was ahead of its time. I could have been a contender LOL
When he says today he means the late 80s and that's when I was a Grom and that's when I did most of my learning. This is awesome

Skipped the entire shortboard revolution from 67-70 and went straight to the 80s.
