Ben won the Chicken Dinner, but no one brought him home. This might explain how he thinks everything Rowan asks Ben to is impossible.
That makes perfect sense.
He could be a semi-sentient program. Not a standard NPC or bot...but not fully aware he is a program...he thinks he is another player, but since he is part of the program the logic is the only physics he has ever known.

After watching hours of these clips, I've noticed that:

That Chicken Dinner one inspired me to write like a PUBG story, about how scary and brutal it would be to be in a situation like a Battle Royale
