My pedestal seats are screwed down using "Stainless Steel Coach Screws" (search screwfix for them)
you can easily go though the hull. so carefully check after each screw is fitted. I think i used 30mm long screws and as big as the pedestal holes allow. My floor has raised area's (approx a 1inch plinth) where the pedestals are. If yours hasnt, then glass some ply down where your fitting the pedestals (18mm or more thick and aprrox 16 inches in diameter.) good luck

Hi, I am very impressed with how your Bonwitco looks after all your hard work. I have an aging one with the standard mustard colouring, but after seeing yours in this video I am inspired to give it a whitening. How many coats did you have to give it and what marine paint did you use? Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi there, my boats slowly getting there, could you tell me how the pedestal seats are fixed to your boat? Really want to get them but I'm assuming I can't just screw them to the floor of the boat! Any response would be appreciated thanks.

I used toplac paint, neat no toplac thinners. You roller it on then use a good dry brush to tip it off. My first coat was virtually perfect very smooth, but then I tried a 2nd coat.
Wish i hadnt, it didnt need it. The second coat went on thicker because the first still tacky coat holds more paint onto it. Anyway the second coat didnt flow out as well and left brush marks. dont do to much in one go before tipping it off.
