  • One of my favourite places to visit, especially on motorcycle, is Pouch Cove. I always include it in my "Marine Drive" through Middle Cove Beach, Torbay and Flat Rock.
View is always great in Pouch Cove. It was a nice day to boil up a coffee and get some drone videos. I enjoy seeing the area from a different perspective.
Hope you enjoy and please subscribe.

I visited Newfoundland for the first time in February this year...I made it to Pouch cove on a day trip. Was staying at a friend's place in Portugal Cove right on the cliff looking out at Bell Island. I fell in love with the place...my beau and I plan to retire there one day. We really like Random Island even though we didn't get there...he put an offer in on a sweet old saltbox. Could happen!! Great video...I will check out more!!!

My mother was a teacher in Pouch Cove in the 50's. She loved it there, and we would make several visits every year when I was a child.

I was with my wife and daughter (and dog) when we pulled into the exact same spot a few weeks back for a wonderful hike and admired the scenery. No coffee though.

If ya keep going out the road till ya hits dirt. Keep going up hill till ya gets to the old Cape St Francis. No lighthouse anymore but believe there's a helicopter pad. 🙌

A cove with no harbour must be a rough spot can’t tie boat up to wharf have to haul your boat after every outing we are lucky ,we have three harbours at port au Choix not more than three hundred yards from the base of each other but it would take you one hour to steam from the most eastern harbour to the western harbour .by dragged or long liner

There are a few beaches, but the water is generally so cold that nobody swims at them. Northern Bay Sands is a large beach, but it's been sold to private interests apparently. It's grey sand not the warm yellow sand that I'm used to in Ontario at Picton. Hence it's name, Northern Bay Sands. That grey sand makes it look very cold even on a warm day. I was there once years ago. I saw some photos of a lovely beach in the Cape Freels area, but that's very remote and thinly populated. I taught in Wareham/Centreville for 6 months 50 years ago and I was aware of this beach at all. Back then, the paving only came to 8 miles from Wareham and I didn't have a car so I wouldn't investigated even if I knew about that beach.

There are a few, and some are very pretty, but too cold for swimming.
