Make sure your controller is on as well before you open Rekordbox! Hope this helps.

I have a ddj rz that connects me but the laptop icon does not appear and I cannot get the sound through external speakers
Brand new to the DJ world, I watched out your videos which were super helpful. **One important steps to clarify** Make sure your trim is turned to the 11 o clock postion (Located at the top middle of the DJJ800 controller) Corazon mentioend it in another video and this was the ticket that FINALLY got my music playing through my headphones for Master and Micing. Took me 2 hours to figure this out! Thank you COR!

my problem is that when i put audio on Speakers Realtker R audio the sound quality is so wack please someone tell me what to do, i had this problem like a month ago and it fixed itself and now its back , please guys

Okay so, i had this issue on my macbook and this video didn't solve it sadly. I did manage to find the issue, so if you're on mac this is probably your solution. You have to go in the the privacy settings, go to general, unlock the lock & press the allow button on the right. This will give the drivers acces to your mac. This will force you to restart your pc and it will work!! Hope this helps!! 💙

@@thoick8309 in your mac itself, but I've seen with a friend that the whole mac settings menu has been changed and I've lost track of how to fix this in the new menu. I don't update very often so with me it's still the old settings menu. I did install rekordbox on my friends laptop from scratch and the issue didn't occur... maybe with the new gen updates the issue has been solved. Hope this helps :))
So... I have a DDJ-400 and when I put the option "output audio from the computer's build-in speakers and your DJ equipment (PC MASTER OUT)", my audio settings in the rekordbox just reset. And in the master output the only thing that appears is the master and the phones, so I can't use my computer speakers to hear the song, for example.
The thing that I can't use my computer speakers and the DDJ phones (to hear the cue) at the same time. Do you know what this is happening? I already re-instaled my DDJ-400 drivers but I still get this error...
Check this user manual out for the DDJ-FLX4 which is the predecessor to the DDJ-400. Go to page 49. That’s the audio setup part. Replace DDJ-FLX4 with DDJ-400 but it should be the same concept. I’m not sure though. docs.pioneerdj.com/Manuals/DDJ_FLX4_DRI1804A_manual/?page=8

I still have a little bit of a problem. I use DDJ-200, Logitech Pro X Headset (USB driven), and a pair of speakers of course. But the settings still says Output 1, 2 etc as it shows at the start of your video. Dunno if i miss some kinda drivers. AND it shows a splitter-icon instead of the Computer with the speaker icon in the upper corner, beside settings.
Are you plugging in the headphones into the audio splitter that comes with your controller? You need to use this splitter to route the audio signal to both the headphones and speakers.
To clarify: the DDJ-200 doesn’t have RCA outputs (the white and red color coded outputs in other words) like the DDJ-400. So you don’t need to mess with the input or output settings in Rekordbox for this controller. That being said, the audio splitter adapter that comes with this controller (if you got it new) is vital to plug your headphones and speakers to your computer’s 3.5mm headphone jack. It splits a stereo signal from your computer into two mono signals; one travels to your headphones and the other to your speakers. Let me know if you have anymore questions. I’m happy to help!
Also, regarding the headphones: I would invest in dedicated DJing headphones that aren’t USB driven. What I recommend are OneOdio Pro 10’s as a good starting point as they are cheap and don’t have a battery that needs to be recharged. I’ve read online that some gaming headphones have built in EQ and compression that can give you a different sound than what the audience hears. Keep this in mind. Useing a ddj 200 on rekordbox , can’t hear any cue audio on my headphones no matter what I do, in my audio settings / output channels it just says (output Chanel 1/2) any idea on what I can do ?

I just got a used DDJ-200. It's missing the audio splitter cable tho. Expect a video detailing this topic next week!
I had to return my DDJ-200 because it was encountering similar problems. I bought it second hand which I don't recommend doing. If you followed the tutorials in Rekordbox through the View tab on your MacBook (if you have a MacBook) and Cue doesn't appear to be working properly then you might have a faulty controller.

Yes i have, but i found the solution...i had to open sound settings control panel of my laptop and change the setting..now it apears..but still my headphones want work...i mean..there is sound but not sepparated..i hear both decks

There shouldn't be a noticeable delay. Are you using wired speakers/headphones or a bluetooth speaker setup?

for some reason im still having the same problem.. I have two logitech speakers + a subwoofer and a blue yeti microphone + headphones.
I do have a Splitter which is plugged into my pc with the jack for my speakers in one and my headphones in the other. Anyone know what i could be doing wrong

Hey so I have a ddj200 and I’m only getting output 1 and output 2 and by default the headphones part goes to output 2 and then it plays through the right speaker instead of the headphones
The speakers are plugged into an audio interface I feel like Thag might be part of the issue bht I’m not sure
Don’t connect your speakers to the audio interface. You need to connect the speakers to the audio splitter cable that came with your controller. One end of the cable is to connect to the controller itself (male 3.5mm jack). The other two 3.5mm female ends are for the headphones and speakers.
@@heartwithreason I would but they both use separate cables and there isn’t 3.5mm port on the speakers thsg only have Jack to Jack, XLR and that other one I forgot the name
@@pastamasta4355 What kind of speaker is it? Let me know the brand and model number to give me an idea of what you are working with. Also for the third input, do you mean RCA? RCA inputs are red and white.
@@heartwithreason they’re the presonus eris E5 speakers (well they’re studio monitors but they work as speakers too) and yeah that’s it the name just slipped my mind

I have the exact same issue, only Output 1 and Output 2, but this fix didn't work :(
Found a fix. The issue was with the Windows sound settings. Enabling Line-In on the FLX4 seems to have solved it.
Im doing all the steps but still don’t get that icon. Do you need a license for this?

It’s probably because of a Rekordbox 6.0 update that I’m not aware of. I have a DDJ 800 from 2019 before rekordbox 6 came out. I’m using older software in other words.

i have a ddj 400 controller and the cue button on the channels is not even turning lights
it always been fine but all of a sudden the when a press the cue buttons to hear the track on my hephones nothing happens

I might be mistaken but I don't think you can use Rekordbox with the DDJ-200. You would need to use another software such as Algoriddim's Djay app.

If anyone is having trouble with connecting your headphones to the DDJ - 800 make sure that when you load up the application that in the audio you have to switch the master volume connected to your desktop to DDJ - 800 hope this helps.

Its just not saying ddj200 its just saying output 1 output 2 driving me insane,im using on windows 10
Did you plug it in using the audio splitter cable? You don't need to mess with outputs for the DDJ 200 as it is solely through that cable that you have output to headphones and speakers. On the top right of the screen you should see a blue splitter cable icon that shows you are good.

I’ve had a bad experience with the DDJ-200. Sorry to say this but you might have a faulty controller or cable. I wouldn’t know where to purchase another official Pioneer DJ cable…I’ve searched for it, couldn’t find it. Here’s a link to one that’s from Traktor but it isn’t in stock: a.co/d/6XgGIUu . Sorry but I would just return or sell the controller.
