China's disputes comes down to really 4 areas, those with india which china offered back in the 50s to solve by making the actual line of control the border, India refused. those with japan, japan took land at the point of a gun and their policy is inconsistent, they want to keep land taken at the point of a gun but then wants Russia to return land that Russia took from them at the point of a gun. taiwan, which is a civil war that the US intervened in otherwise this dispute wouldn't exist. and lastly the SCS which is a dumpster fire with everyone there claiming bits and all have overlapping claims.

      I suggest you to look at China map published by P.R.China, and that is what Chinese government claims. Stop listening to this Caspian troll who is faking things up by just listing one or a hundreds of Chinese personal opinions. China does claim South China sea, and the four tip islands at the south Yoku Islands, but never the entire Yoku Islands (entails hundreds which is occupied by US troops by the way). China does not claim the Russian soil since it has signed the treaty with Russian government. Some Chinese are blaiming this treaty and challenging the government for the treaty, that is all.

      nah.. you get it wrong..
      China will claim Africa, based on the basis that their ancestor used to live there 100.000 yrs ago.. and then lay claim to every region in between (Middle East, Central - South - South East Asia), since those ancestors had to cross these land to reach China.. we don't know what route they took exactly - but hey, why not claim them all?
      then, China will claim America (the entire continent), since the native American came from Asia 15.000 yrs ago (and since Asia IS China)
      after all that, China will straight up invade Europe. For what reason? Who cares? Certainly not they..

    • @oldrabbit8290
      @oldrabbit8290 Pƙed 3 lety +13

      @John Smith just because the West trade slave centuries ago, doesn't mean it's okay for China to do it now.. the same applied to aggressive territorial expansion, especially when that said expansion comes at the expense of other fellow Asia countries, most of which also suffered from the same "western pie-grabbing" as China.. You think the target of China expansionist (Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, India, Tajikistan, Lao, Mongolia, ...) had occupied China "proper" during the 18-19th centuries, when even themselves had been invaded and occupied by Western nations?
      so for these countries, China is basically the epitome of Western imperialism turns up to 11, the same thing they (China) seem to hate so much (and still claim to be its victim until this day)..
      and then, "Territorial Integrity". of course there're territories where China has valid claim of, but if they keep make shit up like lay claim to the entire Mongolia (despite their long history of treating the nomadic people as non-Chinese) or create the 9-dash-line out of nowhere, nobody gonna take their claim seriously..

      You should brush up your history skills. Western laws of sovereignty and Asian perspectives of territory were not there the same 5 hundred years ago. China made the rest of Asia its vassal state. But European foreign powers rejected the Chinese concept of vassal states authority and eventually seized these areas from Chinese influence around 3 hundred years ago. Japan took Korea and the Ryukyu Islands, France took Vietnam, and Britain took Upper Burma. They all used to be part of chinese empire.
      Regardless TAIWAN literally claims the entire south china seas and Spratlys because it was actually the ROC who claimed the entire area in 1940s. And drove the french out. But communist china defeated KMT, succeeded them and took over china and ROC fled to taiwan.

      I guarantee you that if the chinese didn't kick the french out of sprately or defeated the dutch coloniesa and ran them out of Taiwan. The western world would legally consider them as french and dutch colonies.
      The fact is those sprately islands are disputed. Taiwan, China, phillipines, Indonesia, etc all claim the island as theirs. Who does that island belong to? They cannot all be right hence it's a dispute. Where generally the strongest ones gets to win it in the end.
      Just how faulkland island dispute is handled. Except faulk island war had much more casualties than sprately island disputes.
      And the only ones who want to harm the shipping routes in south china sea is America. Because any kind of blockade would only make the chinese economy suffer. And shipping carriers insurance premium would rise which means exports shipped out of China would not be as profitable.
      Already American hawkish pundits have been talking about it.
      www.forbes.com/sites/davidaxe/2020/08/24/to-defeat-china-in-war-strangle-its-economy/#375b9f4c31a9
      China just wants the American navy to not have the option to do a naval blockade in the future just to contain them. They have made false lies to invade libya, Iraq, etc before and for power plays. The ONLY reason china dug up taiwan's past claim was because they don't want America to strangle their economy hence the south china sea matters to china the most i nterms of economy and they will never shut down the shipping routes as it would be economic suicide if they ever did.
