Thank you so very much. I was ready to pack up and find a repair store for my upright electrolux because the brushes weren't turning. I was even considering trashing it and buying a new vacuum. I found the red button you mentioned and now they turn!! You saved me time and possibly money. I am most grateful!
great video same issue with my C177A i service my own kenmores it is not in the arm extensions as i connected the wand directly to the head and no power i thought maybe it could be the reset button but the spring within appears to be functioning the belt is tight i can only assume it’s the head i’ve found over the years when the vacuum is picked up by the hose (closest to the canister) it can over time snap the wires within any thoughts? thanks
I have an Electrolux EL8500 upright with the opposite problem ... the brush roll runs all the time, even when you switch to bare floors. Was working fine until the other day ... switched it on, heard loud 'crack' sound, from then, on, the brush roll runs constantly.
My power head stopped spinning when my son jammed it under the couch. I attached the power head to my other Electrolux and it worked. Therefore the problem is in the vacuum body. Is there a fuse or could a wire have overheated and melted in the vacuum itself?
my electrolux oxygen 3 just stopped and wont start back up. the engine lights up on the main body unit, but no power to motor or wand? cant find a reset button. please help..ty
If you're still out there....this was very helpful! Thank you!👍🤗

The red button! Who knew! This trick worked on what appears to be a 40-year-old Electrolux as well. Thanks Douglas!
The red button reset was the problem with my Lux Power Nozel. Thank you for your helpful tips. Yes, I was too lazy to locate and read my manual 😄
That was incredibly helpful! Now going to see if any of those issues are what's wrong with my machine!!!! God bless!!
