absolutely yes! His backdoor solo dance break was phenomenal, and can we PLEASE talk about how he OWNED thunderous? My favorite highlight would be Charmer choreography tho. Technique, strength, expression. He put EVERYTHING out there with it all while looking sexy AF and making it so effortless people really thought he was bored. Oh and literally EVERY Kingdom Performance!

Leeknow is underrated for a "Main Dancer", people doesnt get to talk about him when it comes to that, but we cant deny that he is pretty skilled, he's one of the Best Dancers in Kpop, Why? First of all the amount of control he has, Stray Kids Songs require Powerful Execution yet if you watch him Dance, he is the one with the Cleanest and detailed Moves, yet still Powerful and Perfect Execution. I saw other Kpop Main Dancers, I noticed that they always throw their moves and overdance which can lead to messy executions, while Leeknow can still apply the control in the Dance routine Also hes pretty Versatile, And his SKZ PLAYER "Dawn" Shows that, that he can switch to multiple styles. Hes a Hiphop Dancer, yet he can do Jazz, Lyrical Dance, Contemporary. I hope in the future people will look up to Leeknow, because his Dancing Skills are beyond amazing, the fact that he is already great since from the start.
I totally agree. I always felt like compared to the other members, he obviously dances in a way that feels very solid and just overall seems least likely to injure himself while dancing. Every dancer has their own style, but I think some people mistake him not being a "flashy" dancer as being boring or stiff, but he's not at all. Dancers like this tend to get overlooked either in the beginning or later on....like they don't get consistent attention even though they lack very little.

His Power in Dancing is underrated, people thought he can only dance to sexy choreos when he is not, hes so versatile, His Power in Dancing is well controlled, not overdancing and underdancing, just balanced Power, and I think thats one of his strengths, and that makes him the Best Dancer
besides being an underrated dancer, i feel like his vocals are underrated too, maybe because he hasn't been given the opportunity to showcase his full potential in a notorious way, idk, but the few times his vocals have truly been put on display, it's just dbdjsks holy, this man sings so beautiful. Calming but at the sametime very Powerful, he can belt highnotes, he belted his highnote in Mirror with ease, his belting in 3rd Eye is so Iconic. But I feel like being in his group, prevents him showing of his Talents as he is put back in the formations, people cannot see him Dance, and given less lines, usually his lines are "Talk Singing", I hope that will change he will showcase his talents just like the other members

Actually, Taemin used to do something similar with SHINee (I mean, trying not to outshine group during their stages and kinda mellowing out and then slaying his solos/centers) so... And we know how is Taemin reputation with dancing so I'm proud of Minho for kinda going the same path bc it takes enormous strength to go lengths for the group ❤️
Minho kind of unify the dance when he is center, like you can say "woah this is stray kids dance" so watching the fancam is a must when it comes to Lee Know

I am new stay (probably ~10 days), and the first member I noticed was Lee Know. He is the dancing gem not only of kpop, but also of the whole world. Hi there !!! I've being a stay since God's menu and yes, we're same, lee know is the first member that I recognize :)) but it's during miroh era,but back then I've no idea who's stray kids are, fortunately I found them again this year and decide to Stan them and it's worth
9:50 where you mentioned that "unfortunately, I don't think we were able to see much improvement during 2018-19 era, maybe because Stray Kids were still rookies, and therefore were super busy trying to promote, they didn't focus much on dancing", I think I need to mention the real reason for every Baby Stay or anyone else curious. So, we all know that Minho entered JYP with his dancing skills (not his vocal skills). During their survival show almost every member (especially the vocal line) mentioned multiple times how they are more than thankful to Minho for teaching them the dance moves and correcting/supervising them in their group choreographies. This is totally my viewpoint, but one of the main reasons he was eliminated at first was him helping his members too much while he lacked practice in singing. That's why in his Hellavator stage he forgot his timing/eye contact and in his Glow stage he forgot his lyrics. As a result of lack of singing practice, he lacked confidence in both stages. And, he got eliminated. That was the first time I understood how kind, precious, selfless, and down-to-earth he is. In 2018, we couldn't see much of improvement in his dancing because he didn't have the freedom to focus on "his" dance. His responsibility as the main dancer while blending in his dance moves with all the members (trying not to stand out too much); as well as him focusing intensely on his vocal lessons, made him not improve that much during this era. In the same era, where we can't see Minho's improvement in dance, we can definitely see Stray Kids' improvement in every little aspect and especially, being ONE with each other. Adding back Minho (and Felix) to SKZ was probably one of the best decisions JYP-PDnim has made in his whole life!
I think that at that time he may have felt the need to change the meaning of his dancing. He was now a part of a group for years, where everyone was growing and giving a little bit of their souls in it. He became their teacher,choreographer and dancer, so now every dance was not just for him, but for the group. He is an amazing artist, sometimes is hard to be selfless, especially with things that means everything for you, i admire him 🥺💖
This also means that you could lose it, and lose a part of yourselves too, idk , minho is also brave for doing that, i once lost my everything and im too scared of letting it go or hating it because i could give part of it to someone.
I just wish people stopped comparing the danceracha members to each other. Especially when it comes to "Hyunjin vs Minho". There is no such thing as Hyunjin vs. Minho, please understand that. E.g. putting down Minho to put Hyunjin on a pedestal is not a compliment to Hyunjin you want to make (and vice versa of course, but this is the one I see the most). Overall comparing dancers to each other is nonsense, dance is an subjective art and a way to express ourselves, so it's obvious everybody will express it differently. Personally, although I like smooth dancers the best (ex. Seventeen Hoshi, TWICE Jihyo, IZ*ONE Chaeyeon, GOT7 JB, etc),I think Hyunjin's dance style is very unique inside K-pop industry (I guess because he studied contemporary/lyrical dance professionally); and Felix rough style and footwork skills are no joke! Anyways, stan dancers!
when I got into the fandom (a few months ago) I saw a dancers analyzing video of the members’ dancing skills. the video showed how different the members are when it comes to dancing. this is when I realized there’s no point comparing them, they are way too different, everyone having different strengths & weaknesses. I wish people would appreciate them without ranking

Lee Know's exciting level is very high stage with professional dancers. but in skz he leveled the skills with the members, that's what I like. he is not arrogant despite his extraordinary dance skills. he makes dancing easier so that the stay can cover it.

Being a Kpop idol, Lee Know doesn’t flirt with camera the way Hyunjin does. However, when he does, he’s deadly and lethal. Whenever he deliberately flirts with stage camera, he made me feel 20 years younger and full of hormones. His dancing is a work in progress like all the dancers. He works incredibly hard on getting better and staying in dancer’s physique. I just love his dancer’s body so much.
He had that dancer vibe from the very beginning u know what I mean.. Not everyone who can dance or people used to call them "professional" is really talented for me.. The pure talent is u having the vibe even if u don't have the flexibility.. It's just the feeling or the vibe or "the real talent"... And sorry i'm working on my English.
he has improved so much regarding the "lack of facial expressions", I think he simply lacked some confidence, now especially when he's center he's a monster but he's still chill and charming. I love Minho's dancing, he pretty much never over or underdances, his stamina is astonishing and even if he messes up the choreography you'll never notice cause he's just so experienced and confident. also people don't give him enough credit as a choreographer. he's just so cool!

This Man is one of those versatile Dancers, Usually some Main Dancers stick to their style that makes their movements look awkward While Leeknow can do "Multiple Styles" that he is not stucked in his "Main" Style which is Hiphop I really like his Style, it defines Precise, Clean, Fluid, Groove, Sharp but merely Powerful. I know I'm quite late to comment but Kingdom allowed Lee Know to really express himself After seeing him grow up as a dancer through this video, and thinking back on him through Kingdom, LeeKnow is really shinning through his dancing now and I'm so happy about that!
When I watched their "my house" dance practice I noticed very small details that differentiate Minho from the others. Like after the chorus when they spin their head (?) Minho is the only members that raises his legs that high. Most of the times his isolations, dynamics and leg movements are what make his dance different and unique. I can't wait to see him improve even more in the future!!
As a competitive dancer of 11 years, this meant a lot to me. I can really see his different stages in his dance journey and struggles. This makes me really happy because I know how hard some of the choreo that's shown in this video, and how hard it is to gain the little details and how much time it takes. He progressed what I did in 11 years, in two. Respect right there. I hope that in the future, he has workshops and master classes for people to take, I would LOVE to take a class from him someday. Minho says he dances as a group now with skz and focuses on helping the group look good as a whole but I would really like to see him do a solo in all the different styles he learnt over the years, it would be really breathtaking (not that he already isn't)
Okay as a dancer myself, in my personal preference I really like Minho's style when it comes to dancing. He knows how to execute the moves well, he knows when to add extra pop, and he's very detailed when dancing that makes it neat. I'm not saying we should compare them to Hyunjin and Felix, we must keep in mind that they have their own way or style of dancing too, and also we must keep in mind that people have their own preference too, so I hope we don't attack each other.
On that 15:40 clip, Minho is also the only one that taps his foot~! That coordination with his foot and the upper half of his body is really hard!! (In my opinion XD)
I stan lots of groups and i know there are lots of great dancers but for me Minho is the best dancer. He is my number one in kpop. His dance is so chic and unique and clear. He never miss even any slightest move. His body just becomes one with music and watching him dancing gives me pleasure everytime. He gives so much effort, he is such a talented man. Everyone should be aware of he is the main dancer and give him support and attantion that he deserves. I think there is no need to say more.

Minho has very sharp ears coz his timing is always on point. The way he is always in sync to the beat and rhythm of the music. Fastest to learn choreos overall idols in jyp. that's why he's always tasked to oversee the overall choreography of skz coz he learns them quickly.

Main dancer is being better at the technical stuff while lead dancer is more on the stage presence such as facial expressions, so it doesn’t mean that main dancer is better then lead dancer since both are very much acquired in dance☺️
He's such a good dancer. He wanted to become a dancer and a singer and he did both! Watching him dance in Easy was the first time I noticed him ( I've stanned skz for 4 months) I joked about it and left a comment saying Easy was his song and he featured skz. Little did I know that I'd be obsessed with him. All in too! I think he enjoys performing that song Yesterday's solo performance was something to behold! He understands his body and flows with it. Lee Know really is the dancing gem 💎 I love watching him when it’s just dance practices because you can easily see how he executes the dance moves really smoothly. His movements are sharp and precise and he delivers them in a REALLY REALLY smooth way. The way he switches to one dance move to another is like “woah”. Some people have sharp moves but kind of in a messy way, meanwhile, Lino has sharp and smooth dancing like there’s no extra energy wasted. He dances just perfectly. His facial expressions? I think we’re all gonna die once he starts showing or adding facial expressions to his dance moves. Looking so emotionless/passive right now already got him this dangerous, charismatic and hot look. Imagine what he can do with amazing facial expressions and his perfect dancing. Lastly, Lee Know’s footwork is chef’s kiss. His thighs, his body roll, his arm muscles are all freakin amazing. He always manages to execute those complicated footworks so smoothly that you would think they’re easy but in reality they are not. P.S. sorry if most of my comments doesn’t make sense. All I’m trying to say is if you look closely, you would appreciate the preciseness and smoothness of his work. Minho is definitely up there with the best male dancers of kpop, like Jimin, Jhope, Kai and Taemin. And he is for sure in the top 3 best 4th gen dancers (along with the Chae sisters in my opinion). Out of the 4th gen male dancers he’s easily the best in my opinion.

He's so perfect from head to toes, even though my ballerina soul keeps looking at what angle his feet are and sometimes I swear to God I don't know how he can do stuff without breaking an ankle. In my personal opinion he's one of the best KPOP dancer even though I will love to see him with more ballet feet, but that's just my fixation

easy is his song he does make look everything look so easy. i try be fair whenever i watch their choreos when i started out as a new fan. but 2020 really was minhos era. He steals the spotlight without even trying. I super agree with his impressive facial impressions no matter how hard the choreo is he manages to look cool and somewhat chill and his energy remains stable from the start to finish. lee minho the man that you are!!
I have been wanting to learn how to dance since I was in kindergarten, Only thing holding me back is confidence and self doubt, Quarantine happened- a lot of self reflection took place and I got into Kpop which pushed me in finally doing what I wanted, to dance, and this man is one of my biggest idols now. I searched for a decent Dance school for a very long time and I finally found one. I hope I can be as good as this man or even surpass him, I can only try. Wish me luck :>>

I recently got into SKZ and (surprise surprise) Lee Know’s my bias🥰 if it means anything, his dancing inspired me to start dancing, so seeing his progress is super interesting. His style rn is just so precise and clean, and idc what ppl say lol, his facial expressions are honestly great. He’s able to express so much more through just his dance alone. When I was watching their older performances, I was really able to see how much he improved this year, like it’s almost crazy how sharp and powerful his dancing is now, which I feel correlates to how much more confident he is now. Interestingly, I feel their trip to The Lab studio in the US may have helped. He said in their “In Life” interview that he learned a lot from their choreographers about expressing the mood of the dance and song. Oof I wrote a bunch lol, but seriously this video is so good!! You obviously put a lot of time and effort into it and it shows😆
Yes! I love to see that he is not god gifted but rather his talents come from a lot of hard work through the years. And yes! I do think his trip to The Lab Studio sky rocketed his ability to show emotion through dancing; Seungmin was with them too, and he has recently being improving a lot with his dancing too 🥰🥰 And thank you! I suck at making videos but I like it a lot 🥰
I think another reason why he didn't make significant improvement during 2018 - 2019, was because he was probably trying to focus more on vocals since he didn't have much experience or training as well-
0:55 Finally I’ve come across someone who also gets “over dancing”. It’s so common with less experienced dancers (like how I was when first starting) that try too hard to be expressive and cool. Emotion and isolations are incredibly important for dancing, but keep in mind that you still need structure and rhythm- over dancing makes you lack rhythm and lose control (over dancing makes you look sloppy too). God I miss dancing T-T

Leeknow is underrated for a "Main Dancer", people doesnt get to talk about him when it comes to that, but we cant deny that he is pretty skilled, he's one of the Best Dancers in Kpop, Why? First of all the amount of control he has, Stray Kids Songs require Powerful Execution yet if you watch him Dance, he is the one with the Cleanest and detailed Moves, yet still Powerful and Perfect Execution. I saw other Kpop Main Dancers, I noticed that they always throw their moves and overdance which can lead to messy executions, while Leeknow can still apply the control in the Dance routine
Also hes pretty Versatile, And his SKZ PLAYER "Dawn" Shows that, that he can switch to multiple styles. Hes a Hiphop Dancer, yet he can do Jazz, Lyrical Dance, Contemporary. I hope in the future people will look up to Leeknow, because his Dancing Skills are beyond amazing, the fact that he is already great since from the start.
I totally agree. I always felt like compared to the other members, he obviously dances in a way that feels very solid and just overall seems least likely to injure himself while dancing. Every dancer has their own style, but I think some people mistake him not being a "flashy" dancer as being boring or stiff, but he's not at all. Dancers like this tend to get overlooked either in the beginning or later on....like they don't get consistent attention even though they lack very little.

His Power in Dancing is underrated, people thought he can only dance to sexy choreos when he is not, hes so versatile, His Power in Dancing is well controlled, not overdancing and underdancing, just balanced Power, and I think thats one of his strengths, and that makes him the Best Dancer

His Vocals is sweet? Calming but at the sametime very Powerful, he can belt highnotes, he belted his highnote in Mirror with ease, his belting in 3rd Eye is so Iconic. But I feel like being in his group, prevents him showing of his Talents as he is put back in the formations, people cannot see him Dance, and given less lines, usually his lines are "Talk Singing", I hope that will change he will showcase his talents just like the other members

This made me remember, he was asked what's dance to him, he said before it was a way of expression himself but now it's a mean of showing their unity.... We all know he's a big part of choreographing and all,,, but I don't see him taking leads, rather he lets the other members shine... That's a very hard thing to do,,, being so selfless.... He is like the only main dancer I have seen who dances in the back lines in formations. I would like stays to appreciate him rather than saying "lee know needs center" (I mean ya he does.)

Hi there !!! I've being a stay since God's menu and yes, we're same, lee know is the first member that I recognize :)) but it's during miroh era,but back then I've no idea who's stray kids are, fortunately I found them again this year and decide to Stan them and it's worth

9:50 where you mentioned that "unfortunately, I don't think we were able to see much improvement during 2018-19 era, maybe because Stray Kids were still rookies, and therefore were super busy trying to promote, they didn't focus much on dancing", I think I need to mention the real reason for every Baby Stay or anyone else curious. So, we all know that Minho entered JYP with his dancing skills (not his vocal skills). During their survival show almost every member (especially the vocal line) mentioned multiple times how they are more than thankful to Minho for teaching them the dance moves and correcting/supervising them in their group choreographies. This is totally my viewpoint, but one of the main reasons he was eliminated at first was him helping his members too much while he lacked practice in singing. That's why in his Hellavator stage he forgot his timing/eye contact and in his Glow stage he forgot his lyrics. As a result of lack of singing practice, he lacked confidence in both stages. And, he got eliminated. That was the first time I understood how kind, precious, selfless, and down-to-earth he is. In 2018, we couldn't see much of improvement in his dancing because he didn't have the freedom to focus on "his" dance. His responsibility as the main dancer while blending in his dance moves with all the members (trying not to stand out too much); as well as him focusing intensely on his vocal lessons, made him not improve that much during this era. In the same era, where we can't see Minho's improvement in dance, we can definitely see Stray Kids' improvement in every little aspect and especially, being ONE with each other. Adding back Minho (and Felix) to SKZ was probably one of the best decisions JYP-PDnim has made in his whole life!

I think that at that time he may have felt the need to change the meaning of his dancing. He was now a part of a group for years, where everyone was growing and giving a little bit of their souls in it. He became their teacher,choreographer and dancer, so now every dance was not just for him, but for the group.
He is an amazing artist, sometimes is hard to be selfless, especially with things that means everything for you, i admire him 🥺💖
This also means that you could lose it, and lose a part of yourselves too, idk , minho is also brave for doing that, i once lost my everything and im too scared of letting it go or hating it because i could give part of it to someone.

I just wish people stopped comparing the danceracha members to each other. Especially when it comes to "Hyunjin vs Minho". There is no such thing as Hyunjin vs. Minho, please understand that. E.g. putting down Minho to put Hyunjin on a pedestal is not a compliment to Hyunjin you want to make (and vice versa of course, but this is the one I see the most).

Overall comparing dancers to each other is nonsense, dance is an subjective art and a way to express ourselves, so it's obvious everybody will express it differently. Personally, although I like smooth dancers the best (ex. Seventeen Hoshi, TWICE Jihyo, IZ*ONE Chaeyeon, GOT7 JB, etc),I think Hyunjin's dance style is very unique inside K-pop industry (I guess because he studied contemporary/lyrical dance professionally); and Felix rough style and footwork skills are no joke!

Lee Know's exciting level is very high stage with professional dancers. but in skz he leveled the skills with the members, that's what I like. he is not arrogant despite his extraordinary dance skills. he makes dancing easier so that the stay can cover it.

Being a Kpop idol, Lee Know doesn’t flirt with camera the way Hyunjin does. However, when he does, he’s deadly and lethal. Whenever he deliberately flirts with stage camera, he made me feel 20 years younger and full of hormones.
His dancing is a work in progress like all the dancers. He works incredibly hard on getting better and staying in dancer’s physique. I just love his dancer’s body so much.

he has improved so much regarding the "lack of facial expressions", I think he simply lacked some confidence, now especially when he's center he's a monster but he's still chill and charming. I love Minho's dancing, he pretty much never over or underdances, his stamina is astonishing and even if he messes up the choreography you'll never notice cause he's just so experienced and confident. also people don't give him enough credit as a choreographer. he's just so cool!

After seeing him grow up as a dancer through this video, and thinking back on him through Kingdom, LeeKnow is really shinning through his dancing now and I'm so happy about that!
When I watched their "my house" dance practice I noticed very small details that differentiate Minho from the others. Like after the chorus when they spin their head (?) Minho is the only members that raises his legs that high. Most of the times his isolations, dynamics and leg movements are what make his dance different and unique. I can't wait to see him improve even more in the future!!
Our dancing gem has never been an ugly duckling. I wonder how many fellow dancing students fell for him over the years.....

As a competitive dancer of 11 years, this meant a lot to me. I can really see his different stages in his dance journey and struggles. This makes me really happy because I know how hard some of the choreo that's shown in this video, and how hard it is to gain the little details and how much time it takes. He progressed what I did in 11 years, in two. Respect right there. I hope that in the future, he has workshops and master classes for people to take, I would LOVE to take a class from him someday. Keep doing what you do. We love you Lee Know
Minho says he dances as a group now with skz and focuses on helping the group look good as a whole but I would really like to see him do a solo in all the different styles he learnt over the years, it would be really breathtaking (not that he already isn't)

Okay as a dancer myself, in my personal preference I really like Minho's style when it comes to dancing. He knows how to execute the moves well, he knows when to add extra pop, and he's very detailed when dancing that makes it neat. I'm not saying we should compare them to Hyunjin and Felix, we must keep in mind that they have their own way or style of dancing too, and also we must keep in mind that people have their own preference too, so I hope we don't attack each other.
On that 15:40 clip, Minho is also the only one that taps his foot~! That coordination with his foot and the upper half of his body is really hard!! (In my opinion XD)
I stan lots of groups and i know there are lots of great dancers but for me Minho is the best dancer. He is my number one in kpop. His dance is so chic and unique and clear. He never miss even any slightest move. His body just becomes one with music and watching him dancing gives me pleasure everytime. He gives so much effort, he is such a talented man. Everyone should be aware of he is the main dancer and give him support and attantion that he deserves. I think there is no need to say more.

Lee Know really is the dancing gem 💎 I love watching him when it’s just dance practices because you can easily see how he executes the dance moves really smoothly.
His movements are sharp and precise and he delivers them in a REALLY REALLY smooth way. The way he switches to one dance move to another is like “woah”. Some people have sharp moves but kind of in a messy way, meanwhile, Lino has sharp and smooth dancing like there’s no extra energy wasted. He dances just perfectly.
His facial expressions? I think we’re all gonna die once he starts showing or adding facial expressions to his dance moves. Looking so emotionless/passive right now already got him this dangerous, charismatic and hot look. Imagine what he can do with amazing facial expressions and his perfect dancing.
Lastly, Lee Know’s footwork is chef’s kiss. His thighs, his body roll, his arm muscles are all freakin amazing. He always manages to execute those complicated footworks so smoothly that you would think they’re easy but in reality they are not.
P.S. sorry if most of my comments doesn’t make sense. All I’m trying to say is if you look closely, you would appreciate the preciseness and smoothness of his work. The way he dance is really clean especially now that he has those years of experience and he can finally focus more on improving himself now that he’s an idol. He knows that lot of people are behind him and that we are always ready to support him.

Minho is definitely up there with the best male dancers of kpop, like Jimin, Jhope, Kai and Taemin. And he is for sure in the top 3 best 4th gen dancers (along with the Chae sisters in my opinion). Out of the 4th gen male dancers he’s easily the best in my opinion.

I've been a kpoper for more than 4 years , I staned so many main dancers , I can say , he is one of the bestest dancers ever !
easy is his song he does make look everything look so easy. i try be fair whenever i watch their choreos when i started out as a new fan. but 2020 really was minhos era. He steals the spotlight without even trying. I super agree with his impressive facial impressions no matter how hard the choreo is he manages to look cool and somewhat chill and his energy remains stable from the start to finish. lee minho the man that you are!!
I have been wanting to learn how to dance since I was in kindergarten, Only thing holding me back is confidence and self doubt, Quarantine happened- a lot of self reflection took place and I got into Kpop which pushed me in finally doing what I wanted, to dance, and this man is one of my biggest idols now.
I searched for a decent Dance school for a very long time and I finally found one. I hope I can be as good as this man or even surpass him, I can only try. Wish me luck :>>

From the view of a dancer, and knowing the class style that teachers from Souldance used to do, I can say he was quite good since the 3rd or 4th clip, it ain't easy, so a huge round of applause to him!

스키즈 전체캠에서 딱 눈에 박힌다..메인댄서는 당연하고 댄서리더라는걸 알았을때도 '역시' 라는 생각이 드는 사람이였다. 그를 뒤에 묻어두는 JYPE가 정말 이해기 되지않지만 개인보다는 팀의 스포트라이트를 바라는 그를 춤으로나 인간적으로나 존경한다..

Thank you so much for this video!! I recently got into SKZ and (surprise surprise) Lee Know’s my bias🥰 if it means anything, his dancing inspired me to start dancing, so seeing his progress is super interesting. His style rn is just so precise and clean, and idc what ppl say lol, his facial expressions are honestly great. He’s able to express so much more through just his dance alone. When I was watching their older performances, I was really able to see how much he improved this year, like it’s almost crazy how sharp and powerful his dancing is now, which I feel correlates to how much more confident he is now. Interestingly, I feel their trip to The Lab studio in the US may have helped. He said in their “In Life” interview that he learned a lot from their choreographers about expressing the mood of the dance and song. Oof I wrote a bunch lol, but seriously this video is so good!! You obviously put a lot of time and effort into it and it shows😆
Yes! I love to see that he is not god gifted but rather his talents come from a lot of hard work through the years. And yes! I do think his trip to The Lab Studio sky rocketed his ability to show emotion through dancing; Seungmin was with them too, and he has recently being improving a lot with his dancing too 🥰🥰

I think another reason why he didn't make significant improvement during 2018 - 2019, was because he was probably trying to focus more on vocals since he didn't have much experience or training as well-

0:55 Finally I’ve come across someone who also gets “over dancing”. It’s so common with less experienced dancers (like how I was when first starting) that try too hard to be expressive and cool. Emotion and isolations are incredibly important for dancing, but keep in mind that you still need structure and rhythm- over dancing makes you lack rhythm and lose control (over dancing makes you look sloppy too).
