You are doing a great job! I must say that, from watching your videos and others, the British littering situation is appalling. It seems something like half, or more, of the litter comes from drink cans and bottles. Britain needs to adopt a system for refundable deposit for these thing! My country has had one in place since 1984. More than 85% get refunded. I believe it might make people litter less and recycle more too because of a shift in mind-set.
What a bloody mess! And so much of it is recyclable. We need public service commercials that stigmatize littering again.

I think it's been said before, but a deposit/return program for bottles and cans is really needed for your area.
It’s required for every area.
That amount was insane! Those shrubs were more litter than shrub 🫣 I hate those bushes/plants; it’s so difficult to grab the litter that lurks inside them. You’d almost think that cities deliberately plant these, because at first glance you barely see the rubbish.

Here in the States, aluminum recycling is a big industry and highly prized by "dumpster divers." I'm a little shocked that you didn't recycle the aluminum and glass. It would help pay for your equipment. In any case, good work! You deserve a medal!🥇

I live on a private street and one of our neighbours son in law throws his empty cans in the trees opposite his house, the owner calls me eco warrior.

@@bernierose719 I know but this neighbour is not very nice, his dog poo on our street & he does not pick it up, other residents just walk past it ,I have to pick it up.

Disgusting people, that was a lot of litter in such a small area. Great job as always. Why don't these councils just completely take out these bushes and brambles to prevent this from happening again, it just baffles me why they don't and it would smarten it up as well.
If you put a request in they will.
You can hardly walk on the pavement that growth needs to be taken away by the council.
Hope this inspires to pick up littrring!!! We need a nice clean environment no matter where u live plz just keep things clean

I live near a waterfall and children have been jumping off the waterfall and leave the rubbish, the council won't pick it up. I did it years ago and the council men just sat & watched me,
Where I live that would be a bottle pickers paradise. we get 10 cents a container to take them back and 25 cents for the 2 litre or milk jugs.. you do a great job nice to see people appreciating what you do.
I noticed that London has beautiful landscaping, but the landscaping only hides all the trash. Such a shame.
Hier in Nederland kunnen mensen hun blikjes inleveren bij de automaat waar ook de flessen ingeleverd worden. Ze krijgen 15 eurocent voor elk blikje! En het helpt want de hoeveelheid afval van blikjes is afgenomen🥳🥳
The amount of cans you picked up - wow! And definitely a thumbs up for this. Thank you also for the reminder that these e-cigarettes can be recycled too! Totally forgot that they have batteries inside. Will keep that in mind for the next time I find some (luckily it has been a while).

I’m surprised those brambles are there on a street like that it’s not a rural lane or anything, so the council should cut it down and remove it, so it will not be a hiding place for litter.

That strip of land needs to be mow down so it doesn't hide the litter!

My fingers just itch to get in there with loppers and a strimmer to take those bushes down to the ground. What a mess. The litter problem would be 90% fixed if that vegetation was gone.
I love that you do that rubbish removal for free but i can't watch you any more as you keep moving the camera all the time and it makes me sick as i am diabetic and it's too much for me to handle sorry
