Scenes from Nottingham around 1969!
Thank you to those who have pointed out that not all footage was from 1969. Seems some footage was pre 1969 as the film shows trolleybuses which ended in Nottingham, June 1966. Thank you for your feedback.

Times in a lot of respects were much better, kids today have no idea!
Look at how busy Vicky embankment was and the pleasure boats! I was between 3 and 6

The early scenes in the Market Square are pre 1966 as the trolleybuses are still running.

1:19 my blood is boiling at how well kept Old Trent Bridge looked back then to what it does today. Litter, weeds, uncut grass, unswept roads. what a disgrace

this is just before the citty planerers compleatly messed nottingham up
Not all 1969. some scenes go back to the big freeze, thats when highfields froze and we went ice skating. They floodlit the lake at night for night skating.

Was that crane working at the City Ground?

@@bh.productions I think the crane is on the site of what was to become the Bridgford Hotel. The building still stands but as apartments now.
