    Found you last week. Immediately started 20 hour fast. Now 7 days later i’m down 6.5lbs 😊. Drinking 25oz water fist thing in morning. Then Only black coffee and black tea. At grocery store read ingredients in some of the black tea; some had orange peel and other additions. I bought the Twinings Black Tea with NO added ingredients. Finally cleaned my home office yesterday! Thank you 🙏🏽

    Wow…..THANK YOU!!!!! I have been doing IF for a while now, but I just recently found your channel. I want to thank you for acknowledging that one size may not fit all….do what works for you and your body, and if it works, then bingo! And it isn’t about what others do. So I am definitely going to try the 20 hours, but absolutely no guilt for meeting up with a friend today and reasonably, enjoying brunch with a friend. Thanks again for this content and at 72 years young, I love that I still have much to learn. ❤😊

    Great advice! I am an avid tea drinker and only drink pure black, green or oolong during my fast unflavored to ensure clean fasting .

    Thank you for your great advice! 2 questions -- 1. How does the 2-4 hr difference between 16-18 hr fasting windows and the 20 hr. make such a big difference? 2. How do you get in enough protein in only a 4 hr daily window without feeling like you're overeating or eating beyond your level of hunger? Thank you!

    Feb 2024 course Grad
    57 and following 20-4 Squeaky Clean Fasting!
    It’s never the fast it’s always what you’re doing in the feast time!
    I just had a lung cancer screening and a 2mm nodule that is classified as “maybe” not cancer. So I’m going to follow this squeaky clean fast until my next screening next April-if 13 hours of fasting can keep reoccurrence of Brest cancer, I’m expecting the 20 hours to get rid of any cancer cells that “might” be in that lung!

    I have been gaining weight back again (13lbs) due to me not staying focus on what is expected to keep that mind set that was giving me results. I have let some changes in my life distract me from doing my 20 hour fasting consecutively. I WILL NOT GIVE UP! You have given me such good knowledge to feel better about myself and proud to be healther. RINSE and REPEAT stays in my mind daily. I had gotten to a point that the weight was not coming off anymore. I kiind of let that discourage me and my mind set was all messed up. I will not stop trying to improve my mindset. Thanks Dy ANN!

    I’m in April 2024 class and for whatever reason I can’t comment in the group but I did 20:4 fasting felt so much better and I’ve eased into OMAD now and losing body fat feeling energized calm and I intend to continue OMAD for the long term health benefits and simplicity ! I’m eating lean meats , vegetables, beans ,few nuts ,small amounts lactose free dairy,moderate fruit , and low carb ,moderate fat , moderate protein but NOT KETO …. No processed foods all organic when I can find it .

    I started in May on keto and went from 379 to 360 by by the middle of July then got stuck there til I went more Ketovore in August and was able to release another 10lbs. by the beginning of Sept. my hubby and I have continued Ketovore and he lost another 20lbs but I’ve been stuck at 350. I started int fasting last week and have done the 20 hour the last 2 days and am now down to 343. I’m all in

    Started IF 5 days ago. Down 3lb. I turn 50 in September, and im experiencing changes in my body i dont like. I did keto 6 months ago and lost 30 lbs. I didn't like how my body reacted to the diet, so i stopped, gained all the weight back in 4 months. I hope this works for me mentally and physically. Thank you for your advice.

    Have to try this. Tired of the inflammation I feel once in awhile.
    Can across your video last night. So far had stopped eating at 6pm and so far at 9am hitting 15 hrs. Fingers crossed that I hold out for another hour or two.

    I began fasting 18/6 in 2021. At first things went really well & I lost 70 pounds in just under a year. After that, despite lengthening my fasts and being very careful with my intake during my eating window, a lot of it has just started creeping back. I'm up 40 pounds; I'm devastated and feel broken. I've heard (online) that I have probably harmed my metabolism and my hormones. I LOVE fasting and want to continue indefinitely, but it truly seems to have stopped working. Does anyone have insight as to what on earth is happening? I went to OMAD and then (per Megan Ramos) 2 days of 42 hours, 1 day of 24 hours and the others 18 hours.

      Stop thinking you broke your metabolism! Fasting does not break a metabolism. Sounds like you are getting advice from someone. Follow that advice.

    I’ve been trying fasting for a couple months now but am having trouble. I eat dinner around 6 pm then don’t eat until 8 or 9 the next morning. I try to go longer but I feel weak and hungry so I eat. I do drink coffee with heavy cream. What am I doing wrong

    Stumbled upon you a week ago! I thought the 20:4 fast was insane - but after listening to your videos I am motivated!! I'm on day two of successful 20:4 fasting. I turned 50 this October, and have steadily gained weight over the past five years - nothing drastic (15 pounds) but I'm sick of it, not to mention the constant state of feeling heavy, bloated and utter exhaustion I experience. I have already learned SO MUCH about myself & food. One thing I've learned - I am hypoglysemic and didn't think I could do this, but my body has already tapped into "reserves" in order to "survive". Amazing! And I clearly have a lot of anxiety about not having enough food I CAN DO IT and I'm determined to do 21 days of this. Thanks for your clarity, knowledge and motivation!!

      @@DyAnnParham You suggested in one of your videos to break habits by establishing a new routine over a period of 21 days!! Day 3 today!! I've discovered I eat just because food is there. I eat out of anxiety about not getting enough. And digestive issues are hereditary - I've discovered that digestion actually causes me a lot of discomfort which I've always assumed was "hunger pains"! Thus - I over eat! Having a less burdened digestive tract has already made me feel lighter and my posture is upright instead of in a "cramping" position. I've also become very selective about what I eat - if I have a four hour window to eat - I am DETERMINED to eat good food and enjoy it!!!

    Good morning,
    I've been doing 20hr fast. Do you recommend doing it always at the same time? Sometimes my eating window is 3hrs and I start my 20hr fast, so I start and end my 20hr fast at a different time. Would love your opinion.

      Since I have to get up for work at 2am, my husband and I usually have dinner by 2pm or 3pm. So my 20hr fast start right after we eat dinner. My eating window is either 10:30am-2:30pm or 11:30am-3:30pm.

      ​@@DyAnnParhamBUT, be careful with tea and read the ingredients. Plain tea, with no sweeteners, fruit juices, dried honey, carob: those things will (and have for me b4 I knew!), break your fast!
