Demitra's big chance in semifinal 15 second to go. Here hit the post one minute to go. After this match he was devastated. Year after in home unsuccesfull championship he cried in last game for national team. And many fans cried with him. In next months this sport tragedy ends to tragedy worst. RIP, Paul, he left the heart and soul on ice. Thank you. Never forget.

we were up by 2 in the 3rd. Demitra was right on, being 4th or last is the same. Palffy's performance on the tournament was probably even bigger disappointment than ending up without a medal. and we still managed to lose to Czechs on yet another Olympic Games

Timeline from 1:29:16 to 1:40:34 was worst part of slovak ice hockey history. It was most memorable and saddest time line of each slovak fan. I remember just depression and sadness while watching these 10 minutes of that game in early morning. From heroes to failure. 3 absurd penalties during 10 minutes ruined our dreams. Up to this day i think that these 3 penalties were just nonsense.

I was going for the Slovaks, but I do love Selanne and Saku (I'm a Habs fan). Teemu won 4 Olympic Medals, which I think is a record during the NHL era, plus two World Championship medals, and a Junior! Not to mention being in the finals of the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. Poor guy could never get the Gold anywhere, but it shows what he truly means to the country of Finland, and the growth of hockey there, only Jari Kurri rivals him in that regard.

The Slovaks seem to have been totally overmotivated. Have a look at their grimaces, especially when they celebrate a goal: these are grimaces of fanatics (not in a good meaning..)! On the other hand, the Finns were calm, well-balanced and intelligent. For the Finns ice hockey is not the sole opportunity to win an olympic medal - therefore the pressure on their players is not as deadly high as in the case of Slovaks. This is why team Finland usually win a valuable medal at the Olympic Games.

Tiež si to myslím už vyše 10 rokov. Ale my jednoducho mame najväčšiu smolu.

Teemu Selänne was a totally useless player for Finnish team in Vancouver 2010 Olympic tournament, in everyway.
His playing was a simply disaster. Zero goals and points in whole tournament.
Niklas Hagman was best scorer of Finnish team in this tournament. Olli Jokinen was also the key player in this tournament and also bronze game. With his personal skills and 2 goals Olli made winning possible in bronze game. However, he did not got much credit about this from Finland team's coachs, not in this tournament and not other tournaments where he played well and was often the key player of the whole Finnish team.
The right place for Teemu Selänne in most games in this tournament should have been bench. Especially because his attitude and ability for defense playing was almost in a zero level. What a fuck he was doing in the ice during whole tournament ??? ! ! !
