nothing but fresh hills at possum trot for the woods buggys, this one had a big dirt step up, then another steep hill up a dirt covered rock ledge, and you sure didn't want to roll off it.

just got back from the ER, was there all day there with my mother, shes deathly ill, I sat down an saw this an I really needed this, great content, thanks for doin what you do High Octane
sorry to hear that prayers for you, you're welcome.
I love those rail buggies. They still put on a good show. They got all this off road hill climbing started in the sixties and seventies. It's about being light weight and weight distribution. Also a good driver. Thanks for sharing.
Dennis yes sir I agree thanks for watching, two more videos coming soon.
Looks like it's a lot hill climbing for the camera man. Thanks for sharing the good times. Everyone wants to beat the hill but you have to hit it just right to do what most never will. It's fun as long as no one gets hurt.
Yes it was a good climb on foot as well lol thanks for watching and commenting!
I’m glad to see that rails haven’t died out. Me and my buddies did this shit back in the early 90’s
thomas huffjr yea they still alive and kicking.
I’ve ever seen so much dune buggies in one place in my whole life it’s so beautiful
thanks for watching and commenting!
HIGH OCTANE FILMS your welcome
@@hartgamez8323 😎
I’ve always wanted a rail buggy their capabilities are amazing
This is basically what my childhood was. Makes me want to finish putting my rail back together and go play. Thanks for the video
Alex Sanders well finish it! You’re welcome Alex!
That fully enclosed black one definitely my favorite. 4wd? Decent. Weird it couldn't make it. Tires not hooking up enough.
its a can am based utv
Thanks for tha video's there awesome !
Thanks and you're welcome
The buggy at 14:10 reminds me of my first rail buggy at age 10 Big Red built from a Murray Riding lawnmower 20.5 Briggs Stratton turbo cooled pulley swaped my dad lived in southern Tennessee with 30+ aches all woods mountains creeks and cave my dad built each of us our own buggys and side by side utvs way before before they had Side by Sides at age 9 / 10 i was climbing mountains with my buggy and three wheeler that grown men wouldn't dear to climb my dad started us riding at age 4 ive been riding every since 30 years and still riding i took my son for his first ride at 16 months he's 2 now and loves riding
thanks for watching and commenting!
I live a bit north in the Daniel Boone ntl forest, so I know them hills are steeper'n hell. Great showing
Yes sir! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Its like drifting only for the forest!
Exactly what I been looking for sxs vs vw buggies thanks !
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Really nice camera, hope they make a clear lexan shield so you don't get a rock in the lense! Great vids!
Denny Villemure I use a clear filter over the camera lens to protect against debris.
Growing up close to the dunes my whole life I never thought about using a sand rail in the mountains.
IBEX Off-Road Videos haha yea, pretty common around here though no dunes in sight.
They are called woods buggies around here I got 2 and 1 of them is mean as hell
Yeah same 😂 I live on the Oregon coast
Growing up in the mid-west I always wondered why woods buggies were called sand rails hahaha... now that I’ve lived all over I can honestly say they are more popular in the woods these days than the dunes.

I absolutely love that that four-wheel drive razor didn't make it air-cooled all the way
Paul Parks definitely surprised me, I expected better.
looks like fun
T M I bet so.
Man I wish you’d leave in the restarts and stalls. The coolest part is hearing them get started back up!!
Gearhead wasn’t aware I cut them. 🤷♂️
The RZR just needs to give it up just can't hang with the buggies lol
Roger Evans the can-am did disappoint me.
Roger Evans,If that guy driving at the end of the film knew where the skinny pedal was,and how to use it,he would have climbed that rock ledge at the top ,no problem.
HIGH OCTANE FILMS vw sandrails are better than a 20,000 + can am
Thumbs up
bluesharp59 thanks!
@@HIGHOCTANEFILMS
You are welcome.
Are any of these comparable to a 1600 dual port vw motor I'm looking at getting one just seeing if it would be capable of medium offloading on trails
All of those are over a 1600 most I doubt anything less than a 1915. I would almost bet most are 2275 or more. I have had plenty of fun on a 1600. You break a lot less parts. You can’t play on the big hills like these but you can still do trail riding and have a good time. I have a 2387 now and at times had more fun with my 1600.
Ahh yes the buggy, the ORIGINAL SxS
I always thought of the Willy’s Jeep as the original SXS myself lol 😂
@@HIGHOCTANEFILMS dang forgot about Ole willy. Haha yep that the OG🤣
@@runitback2303 😂 the test videos were legit
What do you prefer? Sandrail buggies or utvs?
Damien gomez I prefer the rock bouncers
HIGH OCTANE FILMS oh nice me too man
Shadow riders of America SRA go here every summer. I gotta bring a woods buggy and a bike.
And here I thought we played rough in the dunes and high desert. ...
Until I saw this.
😂 thanks for watching and commenting!
Why don't those guys flip around those V tread rear tires so the V would hit the ground like this >> and not like this
Have you done that?
@@HIGHOCTANEFILMS Yes it's how i run my buggy's tires, and it makes a good difference.
I watched this whole video and I didn't see one Possum.
I guess they all got runned over by these crazy dune buggy freaks!
robotbroken naw this was the first time the buggy’s ran here.
5:00 w niemieckim hełmie?!
🤷♂️
Tear it up it`s paid for. Or Buy a UNIMOG and get the job done right.
Why are there 4WD in a mostly 2WD race. Don't they have an unfair advantage?
The buggie driver are pretty brave considering how easily the whole thing wheelstands!
Harald Eberhardt well didn’t seem like it had an advantage it didn’t even climb the hill. 🤷♂️
Those things suck at climbing hills
Nicks Tiny robe guess you saw the can-am rock bouncer chassis not make it right?
Put any thing else in 1 wheel wonder and see how far you get like a one wheel drive open diff buggy
Are any of these running a Peloquin or other ATB
joes phone 🤷♂️
good pepekkk
thanks?
