Very nice review. I've just received this watch, it seems like you will need to keep the app running to receive notifications. For example, if I stop the Whatsapp app, I will not receive any notifications. Is this the same behaviour from what you experienced?
Since it has small ram size, so it probably kills the background tasks! I would recommend you to keep the app in the app history, and make sure you are not using battery saver to receive the notifications
Would you recommend this watch over the hello watch 3 plus?
It depends on the preferences, but Its an Android watch and will always be better than Hello Watch!

I have a little problem recharging it, I have to disconnect the magnetic base from time to time otherwise it no longer charges
but as soon as I remove the magnetic base and put it back it starts charging again.

Few days ago I ordered same watch.. I'm exited for it to arrive. Also for your question..after some research I found there is some kind of launcher and with it you can upload loads an loads of new faces..it's dedicated telegram group where people add new faces everyday..also I've seen couple programs so you can make your OWN watch face..very exciting 😁

If I'm not using a SIM card with the watch, how does the watch connect to the phone? Should I always tether internet from the phone? I'm concerned it will drain the phone's battery. Or should I use Bluetooth tethering from the phone instead?

Yes, I have changed the arrangement of the specs in my new videos and I start with the display. But battery is mentioned in the end because I also share the battery drainage throughout the video.

Dm80, it's the same as the Zeblaze Thor ultra. Other options are g15 pro or vp600. They all have oled screens and the same UI

What is the difference between CD10 and CDS9?
CD10 has metallic body..also should have better battery life. I personally bought CD10 because of metallic body and I'm very satisfied. The watch is smooth and battery last the whole day with lighter use. Also the watch looks awesome and quality made.

Maybe in future, but right now I'm rather wondering, if I should buy original apple watch ultra or not 😆 that's why I bought the model with metallic body..so I can try them and wear them for some time and then maybe buy original.

@@Trip-Starit doesn't, it's just tries to imitate it, but the body is plastic..if you find them on Ali from factory sellers there is always a description that the 9 is plastic and 10 is metal..also CD10 is slightly (0.5mm) bigger across all sides.

Ahh, one more thing: in case you wonder why these China 'Smart Watches' are so inefficient with their CPU/power/battery usage: use an app like 3C Process All-In-1 Toolbox and observe the CPU governors. The CPU (BTW it is NOT the 8541e as they say, it is an SP9832e) has four cores and ALL are CONSTANTY active, no balancing, no throtteling. Same goes for the CPU clock speed: only TWO frequencies are used, half or full speed (750 and 1400MHz). Any decent Android device, phone or TV box is governing the CPUs based on their load., not this thingie. Without root access there is zero chance to optimize this poor power management and throttle these power hungry watches. Why the China manufacturers act so sloppily? Nobody knows. My CD10 is on its way back for a full refund, it is crap.

Yes, its just a little bit bigger in width
Its the worst watch i have ever bought. Battery dies without be connected at 4 Hours. It hasn't got any good optimized apk for connection with smartphone. There are some random apps for this smart watch with too many adds and you can't use them.
Thus watch is completely trash. Imagine using a sim card battery will DiE on 2 Hours max.
Those watches my friend is a disclaim for your channel.
Hi Buddy, sorry to hear about your experience. I have shared the battery drainage in the video, you can even match the time (in the first part of the video and in the last part of the video excluding intro/outro). In more than 2 hours of observation, in which I recorded this video in a total of around 1 hour and the screen was continuously turned on in the rest 1 hour, it only lost 40% of the battery (with Bluetooth, WiFi, Cellular Data turned on)
And I have shown all of the applications in the video as you can see, and none of them showed any ads. So, can you recheck if you have installed any apps which is showing ads and draining battery?
Also, I always shared the honest details and opinions, which is a reason a lot of stores refused to work with me. Like, DW99 Ultra is advertised to have 4MP camera, but I showed the pictures quality and details which showed other values, which was a big risk for my channel, as that store might not work with me again, but I still showed it.
Do remember, I can only test the product I have in my hands! Hope you got my point.

It is an Android watch. You don't connect it to your phone. Unless you are talking about sharing photos and such through Google account or something similar.

This watch is sold with a specification sheet full of lies: it has a 1.77in screen (not 2.26in), a 2MP camera (not 8MP), a 412x502 resolution (not 490x580)? A full charge (1%-100%, 2hr) consumes 700mAh, that is its REAL battery capacity! There is definitely NO NFC functionality whatsover in the EurAsian CD10 version, based on NFC tests and CC reader apps etc. I doubt that the claimed 5G mobile bands are supported either, cannot test them here. This watch is fraud all over, utterly useless with a botched and crippled Android 8.1 O/S, missing services like Accessibility, rendering many apps useless or uninstallable ("Fritz!App Fon" as one example). Not even an ESC-button to return in apps; many apps ignore the right swipe 'return' gesture, a nightmare to operate. The watch runs ca. 4hr at 20% brightness before the battery is at 1%, the case gets seriously warm, CPU overload? The watch back simulates 4 contacts, but seems not to support 4-wire current/data transfer via the USB cable, the cradle has just two pogo pins..
My CD10 will be returned immediately, as it is utter crap at ANY price (currently around $45 at AliX, for a reason). Back to my 2015 AN1 with Android 4.0. It operates rooted with 150+ apps installed, runs circles around this nonsense toy watch.
Did you get paid for the advertisement of this review? Did you REALLY buy it with your own money, or is this just another promotional influencer thingie? Are all the clones from VWar etc as crappy as this CD10? Just wondering..
I saw that you are 'reviewing' these watches at AliExpress with promotional links to your YT channel here. This suspciously looks like influencing and biased/paid judgement to me. BTW: try running Google Assistant on this thing! It is much needed for such impractical devices. But cannot work, because the needed service is missing in the botched and crippled Android Settings menus...
This watch is a dud, your testing is insufficient and superficial, more like an advertisement. Prove me wrong!
