This is why Burning Shores feels like such a self insert fanfic to me. From the rehashed plot (it's literally the final act of Forbidden West) and the romance subplot with a random woman she meets (who's inexplicably way prettier than any other female in any of the previous installments).
She still breaks it up (temporarily) to continue her mission. The situation with Seyka is a new experience for her, but it doesn't erode her conviction, and she'd probably lose interest if someone tried to make it happen.

How do people see Aloy's reaction to Avad's comment about needing to get married first, not being able to choose a bride because he's comparing them to someone else (i.e. - her), that tiny smile she gives him when he mentioned his hopes in accompanying her on one of her adventures someday, as well as an option where she says she would like to return to Meridian - and Avad - when her mission is finished and still think she never had any interest in him?
And if not the exchanges with Avad; then certainly her reactions to seeing Varl showing interest in Zo - those are very clear signs she's hurt that he's found someone else.

A lot of people shipping Aloy with Avad, but my thirst for Kotallo will never end. He is my ship for Aloy, despite Burning Shores.
Burning Shores implies Aloy is bisexual - not a lesbian (to claim she's a lesbian would be to ignore all the moments where Aloy is flirting with various males she encounters in the past games). And whether a player chooses to hook up with Seyka or not, they part ways, regardless - so there's no guarantee they remain an item (if they ever officially become one, depending on players choice).
