My brother cut some up and put it near the ramp on the patio where we had a REAL fly problem. Made that seen in Amityville horror look like tame compared to it. And a few hours later it looks like it repelled them all out really well. Astounding what this stuff seems to be able to repel!

I put some of the shavings in a cup and I put some in an off candle that I was burning and I’ve been in my yard for a few hours and the mosquitos haven’t been bothering me. Thank you

I've had good success with crushed pepper and garlic to keep pests away. Recently we really had a squirrel problem and both really worked to stop them from digging in my plants or even coming into my yard. Ammonia is also really good, but can't be applied right on the ground where plants grow - it needs to be in little dishes, or soaked on pieces of cloth. But now I really want to try the Irish Spring as a spray!

I use this in my barns, around my hay rings and stock tanks...works great and is safe for my horses and cattle.

Thanks, Chas! I'm definitely going to try most of these hacks! Just added Irish Spring soap to my grocery list :)
I really like the pool noodle idea of stopping a draft under the under; however, I am going to be using it to keep out bugs from my sun room. Hopefully that works! I'll also add a bar of Irish Spring (or pieces of it) at the base of the door. I think between these 2 things, the bugs should stop.
Keep 'em comin ! You have some great ideas!

Thank you so much for the Irish Spring tip! I did try it at one time for rodents and actually found that something ate it! There were claw marks and pieces of soap in my backyard. But right now with the warm weather there have been flies out in front and one did get in the house the other day, so I'm anxious to try it.

@@ChasCrazyCreations Hey so we have 4 outside cats but Our cats can't eat because we got 12 flies in their food bowls what can keep the losers off of the porch and we also think that the flies are getting in the house through our doggy door and I wanted to know what to do about this issue doggy door wise and porch wise, also they are bottle flies (blow flies) and they won't quit getting in our food and in pir faces when eating any remedies to get rid of bottle flies

Thank you. This was great. I forgot about just plain soap and water for aphids. Also don't mark my words but I'm pretty sure just plain soapy water kills wasps as well...

OK I love your video! I’m gonna try it on all the things that you mentioned. I have a mouse problem in my oven or I don’t know the back of my oven the top of my oven I’m not positive but also the fly situation is horrible. I live in Colorado and they love to make it into my home and then they bug me literally bug me all night I can’t sleep. I’m gonna try all the things that you said oh I hate bugs! Don’t get me wrong. I hate the mice too. I’m just not going to kill them. If I can deter them from coming into my house, I am all for it. I have a safe mouse trap that I relocate them to miles away from my house into a beautiful park where they can find other mice and have lovely homes. I just hate it that they love my home.

Does this work for crawling bugs like ants, roaches, and other similar bugs like that? Or just spiders and flies?

Can you use the Irish spring with aloe? I already had it on hand and not the original.

Can i use any Irish spring.

  • @imarichmultimillionaire5509

Just wondering: we keep pet birds on our patio. Do you know if the scent of the Irish spring will affect the birds. It is outside in the open so they get a lot of air circulation. Just wondering if anyone knows. Also will it keep dogs out of your yard. We have a problem of people walking the dogs and craping in our front yard. 😂

I would use the jars so you don't have to worry about the birds, and I'm not sure about dogs

How often should you go back to apply after the first application

    • @ChasCrazyCreations
      @ChasCrazyCreations  Před 8 měsíci

When the scent dies down and it doesn't seem to be working, then freshen it up. Also if you're sprinkling it outside, it will dissolve and you'll have to reapply
