Maxwell Thorpe was the real winner of BGT this year. He deserves to be ranked with Caruso, Pavarotti, all the great tenors. He has an incredible voice and we want more!
He's not a tenor! He's a baritone! So he belongs with, say, Tito Gobbi, Robert Merrill, etc.
I agree he is amazing !!! You got to think about it in a different way just because he didn't win was the best thing for him if you win you do what they want I think it's a year that's a year not doing what you want under contract. There were several that could have won but they played it safe a non-singer won but it got his voice out there that is the win for him .

Maxwell has a magnificent voice . Deserves more recognition than just a winner on a show. Respect for his special voice should be a life time of honor . First time I heard him, I thought , that's the way opera should sound !

You're so right! His voice is so beautiful and you can see the emotion in his eyes when he sings. I really love listening to him sing. So I saved all of his performances on my playlist. I don't think that he will ever have to busk again. He's to talented for busking. The people who he was singing to on the street, should have taken the time to stop and listen to him sing.🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆♥️♥️♥️.
I just can’t understand why anybody didn’t find him busking! He’s got a voice of power and honey. So unbelievably beautiful! Thanks for making this world a better place!

I will never understand why someone didn't snatch him up off that pavement and make him a star before BGT 2022. I'm just grateful he is a star now.
I am from.india , and indont underatand opera, but there is something about this voice and singing, it's makes you feel as if it's heard from heaven, go on maxwell super singing....

When I first saw Maxwell's first audition I cried. Not once but four time watching. his voice moved me so much.
I totally get it. I didn't cry the first time I listened to his audition only because I was in shock.. or a trance. The second and third listening involved some tears. :)

@@alanhowe1455 hey it’s a compliment to put him in that class of greats!!! The majority of people just think there is Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. They don’t know about those in-between voices. And my husband, also a baritone, loves him.

I agree with you. I was so disappointed with the judges for not giving him the golden buzzer. People with lesser talent have received it, why not him, he was so deserving. I hope we hear more from him for I would love an album for he has unbelievable talent. One of the best performers of all time. ❤️

I am wishing that he continues to sing and allow us to hear his glorious voice. I haven’t been able to sing since 96. So hearing wonderful music is a gift to me. Bless Maxwell for sharing with the world!

I listen to all 3 performances every day. Makes the day much better! He is amazing. He, combined with his gentle persona, has made the best baritone I've ever heard. I was taught from a very early age in my church choir by another fantastic baritone, my choir director. He and his wife had several opera performances in St Paul and Minneapolis Minnesota USA. Maxwell, he would be so awed by your talent!!! Love you, your family, and hope you'll do some special performances soon.❤❤❤❤

But, to answer your question, it's more than the physics of making sound. Like all great singers, he gives a sense that his soul is contained in his music. Not every _famous_ singer can do that; not everyone who does it is technically superb. Maxwell has both.
No matter what this man will break through as one of the world's best singers because he has the talent and he will rise to the very top of music.

So few great baritones! I want to hear more from him. In an interview, he said that when he was singing notes for his clarinet teacher, he was told "You have really quite a good voice!" So, he began to sing. Imagine, if that hadn't happened! He has a wonderful timbre, expressiveness, and theatricality. I look forward to seeing his future.

The feeling he brings in is somehow unpredictable, the weakness and strength splash in the most beautiful waves and it all flows freely without a predictable structure. He makes me believe - that his feelings are true and deep and that his love is endless. Magnificent.
