Greatest, cheesiest moment of my life was about 15 years ago when I walked into the local gas station as an old guy was telling an awful joke, and the kid working there pulled my brand of cigarettes, knowing what I'd likely be purchasing. The only dialogue was the old guy finishing his joke, saying, "Ah, I'm a joker." My tossing money, grabbing the cigarettes, saying, "I'm a smoker"(figuring no one would catch on). And as I left, the kid shrugged and laughed with, "I'm a midnight toker". 3 generations brought together by Steve Miller. 😂

Or you wouldn't make statements like that. 2ndly When the group was formed mid 60s,everyone experts said they gave them 6 months. In the late 70s I told him we stoner's said when we were gone Pink Floyd would be gone! 80s 90s 2000s pass 2021 they are just as popular and still selling records to young people teenagers will be young adults the ones that are listeningbto Floyd now will carry them into the next 20-30 years. I said I'll take that bet! He said your probably right...

I saw Steve a few times in the 60s. He is special and was ahead of his time. They were practically the house band at the Fillmore West in the late 60s. He brought a deeper layered blues root to his tunes.
I always think they should have used this song in Guardians of the Galaxy, it would have fit so well!

He was a popular artist in the 70s apparently. I got hip to his music in the 90s when I was in college. He had a bit of a resurgence at that time playing shows to college crowds that were into classic rock and other classic rock revival type shows. This one is totally a chill song.

I grew up listening to them because my dad listens to what I call 70’s stoner music. In 2009 my siblings and I went to see them in concert. They put on an awesome show.
SMB was my first concert ever. I was in HS in 1997 and the ticket to this show was $5. Still have the ticket stub too!
