Can you visit a town called Kakching? It’s like the 2nd Imphal will lesser people and more scenic beauty but still the market hub of all the towns farther from Imphal. I am sure you won’t be disappointed.
Nungairibo will translate to Are you well?

It is a mixture of cabbages, Vegetables leaves, beans, besan, etc with a lot of hot chilli spices....i love watching you eat our foods. Thanks Mr. Bald!!!

@@roy_ishere Actually it depends. In ceremonial occasions where you must feed many people, I have seen cooks deep fry all the stuff from fish - head, guts and bones, and then mix those with fried vegetables. Home-cooking style may avoid deep frying.

Yeah, you get fish "with scales" in N-E India, never went to Manipur but the same was the case in Assam, the texture looks the same.
Fun fact; One of the strongest chillis is in the world, "Bhut Jholakia" is from N-E India. But, most of the vegetarian food in N-E (in my experience) is not spicy.
