    Just hope we stick with him. It may take two or three seasons to build to where we should be. But it will pay off in the long run and we may even be able to establish ourselves in the Prem, similar to Brighton or Brentford. Let's get behind the Hoff. 💛💚

    While I absolutely agree that Norwich fans need to be patient, I don't think this is project building on the same scale as it was when Farke came in due to the fact that we had only just started on Stuart Weber's journey as a sporting director at the same time as well. The structural changes he put in from top down on the footballing side of the club are already there so this should be and that's a big should a less transitional phase for the club than it was back then. But yes, patience still required

    Norwich have always been and played possession based football, so to have a manager talking about that is pleasing. If we can implement that whilst playing entertaining football then happy days. We all have to get on board, it may take time to get the desired result of promotion but it will come… OTBC

    Also in terms of being experienced sure Wagner is much older than Thorup but his only properly successful period in his career was Huddersfield. Both Young Boys and Schalke were fairly disastrous for him and prior he managed Borussia Dortmund II. If you look at Thorup's career he's had a very successful period at Nordsjaelland but also a significan't amount of years managing in youth teams going back to 2012. In terms of amount of success he's similar to wagner

    The concern is that this may be the last season where going up through playoffs is a valid possibility. Championship will become further populated with richer clubs in future years. Depending on the players available, for example if Sara/Sarge were to stay, we may not be able to simply write the season off and give him time.

    I predict that we'll go up in 2-3 seasons playing pretty football with young players, dominating possession.
    Then we'll get spanked down again in 20th place, because our whole set up, once again, is based on having lots of the ball, and we can't get any of it in the pl

  • @robinbalem8445
    @robinbalem8445 Před 27 dny

    Needs to be given time and the fans backing , no matter who the manager is recruitment will be key and to be honest very difficult to bring in players capable of getting Norwich promoted. Especially if they lose Sainz and Rowe in the upcoming transfer window , playoffs should be seen as outright success next season. Anyone demanding automatic promotion from the current Norwich set up will be in for a very painful couple of seasons i fear.

      @@footballfanar9717 I agree that is what Jack is outlining in this video, but given that Norwich isn't in any position to buy players of sufficient calibre needed to have any real impact on their team's performance, I cannot see that Johannes Hoff Thorup is going to effect a significant change in their fortunes.
      I hope that I'm wrong.

    • @footballfanar9717
      @footballfanar9717 Před 25 dny

      @@ronseymour4976 No, you're absolutely right imo. The only way Norwich will be able to sign big is if they sell the likes of Sainz, Sara for big fees. But, nonetheless, Norwich are in the Championship and you're never going to attract real quality whilst in the EFL. I'm not expecting miracles from Thorup such as promotion next season, but it's crucial that a certain level of standards are met. I expect Norwich to win at the very least 20 matches and accumulate over 70 points.

    A young and progressive coach is always a gamble because there will be frustrating games where we gift goals away etc. but if we’re patient and let him build with players that fit his system it could be great. It would be great to start bringing quality through from the academy again and integrating them into the first team with a full understanding of the philosophy and style of JHT.
