At practice I fell because of a weird grip my bases had. My back moved out of the way and let me land on my neck. We were in pyramid and my bases tried to catch me but they couldn't.
i love my bases and back spot bc whenever i fall from a stunt they also catch me and they try hard to aswell

one time someone that was back spotting me openly admitted she let me fall on purpose bc she didn’t think i was doing my job

I hate when they call 2nd place and 1st place starts screaming and all when they already know they won, so now it drowns out 2nd place - at dance we didn't really d that, all we did was look at each other and smile until they called us up, most of the time we wouldn't even know we won, cheer is a lot different but I love it
+bubblegum effect yeah, it's pretty rude. The second place team worked just as hard and when you're screaming and ogling over yourselves, other teams are staring you up and down like "hot heads" 😂. It's also not worth not even placing yet being so big headed you THOUGHT you won. But... you actually didn't place. Hmmm? Guess who that upsets now 😂

I hate when you're doing your routine and a stunt falls, but doesn't try to get back up. They just stand there and argue about who's fault it was. And I hate when we're at practice and a cheerleader stars crying because she's tired. And when she stunts, she lets the flyer fall. Like no, you are apart of a team and you need to push through it no matter how tired you are.

I HATE IT when people are watching other teams compete that is in your division and they discourage that team, like if they fall you go "YES" OR they go "Fall, fall, fall". Plus, you don't know who is around you, it could be a supporter of that team. ALSO, it makes your gym look really bad.

I hate when the flyers don't stay tight in the air and then they blame it on the bases and be like oh but they were wobbling so I fell and it's like shut the hell up you were the one that decided not to stay tight

it drives me nuts when an entire team is getting ready in the bathroom closest to the entrance of the auditorium (or whatever youre in). if you have to fix your makeup, go ahead we all have to touch up sometimes. but when im trying to wash my hands but your curling iron, makeup bag, and 6 of your teammates are in front of one sink because you didnt get ready at all when you were at home, it kinda annoys me not gonna lie.
My pet peeve is when people say they don't need a back spot. Well don't go crying to mom because you fell back and your bases didn't catch you fully in time because you didn't have a back spot.
Omg yes I'm a Backspot and a flyer and if I didn't have a Backspot I wouldn't let anyone put me in the air and one time someone told me that back spots are not important in my opinion they help bases a lot
LpsMeghan one time I was in a full and I was falling forward so I leaned back and was tight while falling backward and I landed on my back. My back spot didn't even try

I'm a back spot and my flyers are always falling cause my bases are still really shaky. so they fall on my head almost everyday. (one time I landed on my back because she just fell on me, some bases don't try.

And i hate it when my (or any) stunt group doesn't take it seriously. Someone could get severely hurt because they weren't watching their flyer or they we laughing while stunting.

my biggest cheer pet peeve is when people don't show up to practice then not being able to finalize a routine before comps or make proper changes because they are not there and also when someone quits halfway through the season we have to make completely new stunt groups
Mine is either the jump up when second is still being announced or when people leave during awards cause their division has already been called like no the other people clapped for you, you clap for them ok? And when it's like a level 5 team competing and then level 2 and everyone sits there clapping for the level 5 dance and yelling "hit hit hit pull" and stuff and then next routine they don't do that for the level 2 like how hard is it to show the same support and energy for the level 2 and the level 5 teams like you're sitting there you can clap ok! Like everyone gets angry about "only level 5 is acknowledged, people only care if you're level 5" well who are the ones only caring for level 5 it's YOU! Like if everyone showed the same respect for all levels then there wouldn't be this whole "only level 5 is acknowledged" thing!!!

sadieeexoxó h Dude I was trying out and didnt make it so in every friday i saw cheerleaders walking in they uniforms to remind us about the game, and it made me sooo sad for the fist few times, then I made a cheer comp team and I’m like OMG GIVE ME THE UNIFORM THAT’S THE BEST THIN IN THE WORLD, because uniforms are majestical and they are my religion ok 👌🏻

im not a cheerleader but im a dancer and I HATE when people are close to the stage for absolutely no reason.... I am here ready to compete and the whole 30 person team is sitting in my way eating chips and subway, like please got eat somewhere else than in the wings or backstage.

Okay I understand the whole boyfriend and friends thing, but if my boyfriend or friends come out of their way to come to my competitions when they didn't have to I'm not gonna leave them sitting there alone and not even pay attention to them the whole competition because I just find that rude when they didn't even have to come in the first place.

Sometimes people have to do their makeup at the competition because some gyms like mine have to stay all day to watch he other teams like one time the whole gym had to be at the competition at 6:45 am to watch another team in our gym and my team didn’t preform until 8 the night
Omg when we have hone games (im a middle schooler) the girls from the other team always do their makeup in our bathrooms and put hairspray but when we go to their school we just do our business or hide from someone we recognize.
I think the biggest pet peeve of mine is when there are like tons of cheerleaders in the bathroom getting ready. You should've been ready before you even got to the competition. There are so many people trying to use the bathroom that have to squeeze between girls trying to get to the stalls.
my cheer pet peeve is when people call a backtuck a backflip
I'm a coach and I couldn't agree more. I've literally told my girls everything you've said in this video.
I hate when someone finishes whatever tumbling pass they're doing, and they pull down their skirt. That just bugs me so much. And when someone says "My back tuck is terrible." and (this goes for non-tumblers like me) you're standing there like "At least you have it."
Haha they pull the skirt down cause it rides up and gets uncomfortable
my biggest cheer pet peeve is when I'm at practice and we're practicing jumps but we start over bc someone doesn't stick to the counts they go at there own pace
Or someone that refuses to do the jump. I have someone on my exam who does it. We usually have to do burpees or start over again.
My biggest cheer pet peeve is when people keep saying "Oh I'm going to be captain next year" or "I should be captain" it's mad annoying and it's usually the person who yells at their teammates so they look like a "leader" to the coaches like omg shut up! sorry for the rant

I’m a coach. Biggest pet peeve has to be the ones who are late. And it’s not the kids it’s the parents getting them there. They simply don’t prioritize and don’t care.
I love this video so much. I’m a cheerleader and I’m on a few different types of teams for school and for competition, and watching this video I can tell how much passion you have for the sport. My biggest Pet peeve is when we're at practice or comps and you have that one girl on the team that thinks she's the rockstar of the team and screams at everyone.. Like be motivating.. Don't scream at people and curse while there's younger kids on your team... And!!!! She's not even the oldest on the team 😂 which is funny
My cheer pet peeve is when someone just joins cheer for popularity! Whether it’s high school cheer or Allstar cheer they only do it to be “cool” but no! You join cheer to have fun, do something you love, or want to progress as a person or you physical strength.
My BIGGEST pet peeves
1. (when you’re backing a stunt)you and the bases have to hold the flyers weight, like no hunny lock your arms and shoot yourself up
2. When one cheerleader doesn’t show up so you can’t go full out
3. When a girl/guy gets corrected, then has an attitude, then does it wrong again
4. When older, non-captains think they’re the coach
5. When younger girls/guys run around in practice or at competitions
i cheer at a school and one of my biggest pet peeves is when somone dosnt show up to practice becuse they have a diffrent practice for a diffrent gym or team.
if you cheer for a school you have to understand that people have other priorities than school activities like If they did Allstate cheer Allstate is obviously more important so school sports kind of come second priority wise...
I know it might be annoying but it's completely "ok" I guess. But really, my high school's freshman team for cheer has like two - three girls on the team that cheer for allstar, and allstar is more important than high school cheer. Well they are both important in many ways bc you have to be there for their team, but like wouldn't it be rude to leave practice early to go to another practice? Don't think it's annoying it's just that every girl that does multi tasking for different cheer teams are strong & incredible! They do twice the work! Appreciate any cheer leader that cheers for two or more teams! (:

When a girl in your squad is too lazy to even show up. That happened to me 5 hours ago. So she got kicked off the team

This happened to us once she said her foot hurt and her head hurt but I just so happened to turn where she was and she was running and doing cartwheels. I felt like I was about to pass out and our coach made us run for 1 minute stop and give something to do and then run again no breaks I didn't stop conditioning I pushed through it. She always does though.

Omg! Last year at my nationals competition, a team stood up and started cheering after they called second place and they thought they won, but my team actually won and then they got super embarrassed and left in the middle of awards!

She means usually dancers don't have bows in there hair or really big poofs most of the time

I absolutely hate it when you're flying and you're trying your hardest to stay up but your bases keep yelling at you "stop toeing!! stop toeing!! stop toeing" like I get they're trying to stabilize this done and make it work but it just really drowns out me trying my hardest to fly when they're constantly telling me things that I'm doing wrong

My biggest cheer pet peeve is teams getting ready in the bathrooms. Like when you go to pee there’s 30+ cheerleaders in there spraying stuff, doing makeup, stretching, I even saw a team stunting in the bathroom once🙄 which is also very unsafe. Competition venues have so many places to get ready, either get ready at home or go anywhere in the venue but toilets are for going to the toilet & nothing else!

I'm just seeing this now, but yesterday at competition you couldn't even hear the announcer congratulate the second place team because the team who knew they got first stood up and screamed and was clapping... that is such a shitty thing to do and I'm SO glad you addressed it.
