Hi Liz. I’m often asked about that and it’s a fun story. This is a custom art that I made and it was the spark behind my online store and this channel. When I started redecorating the condo, I wanted a huge art to fill that big wall. During my research, I fell in love with 2 things: a famous 1970 photograph by Slim Aarons “Poolside Gossip” (scene reproduced there) and the mid-mod funky art of the California artist Josh Agle, known as Shag, who has a store in downtown Palm Springs (I’m a big fan! Look it up, he sells online too.). Both the photo reproduction and Shag original art were very expensive at a big size and still, none was big enough. So instead, being a graphic designer, I decided to create something myself by mixing those two ideas together: That famous photo but in the style of Shag. I traced everything in my computer, had it printed by Vistaprint and built a frame from scratch. The result is this 72"x48" glorious digital art. And when it was time to find throw pillows, I had also found out that you can have any design printed on multiple blank products. And the rest is history. That’s how the MidCentury.Style store was born with my exclusive designs and this big art project inspired me to be on CZcams. Of course, I can’t sell this particular image for obvious copyright reasons but at least you now know the story behind that picture. You’re making me realize I should make a video about it and use that as a welcome clip. I’m really sorry I can’t help you getting a copy of this image but thanks for reaching out!

So... It's no wonder why you didn't need any tools, you didn't make anything. You twisted a paper clip to hold two existing store bought items.

Yes, isn't that cool? Sometimes we search too hard for amazing projects when the simplest things are so easy and beautiful and right in front of us! 😊
