It was a very special moment for the music. All the instruments, arrangements, vocal, back vocal, everything was perfect. I'd like to thanks specially to american artists who make me happy until now with their art.
The key ingredient for the perfect disco song was simply orchestration. Artists like Chic, Barry White, and Cerrone knew this, as well as my favorite Alec R. Constandinos- his disco symphonies are priceless. No, there will never be a time again when the passion and thirst for disco consumes you. But, if you put a great disco LP on your turn table, plug in those christmas lights and begin spinning around to the music, something magical will happen and you will be teleported back in time to your bedroom when you were a teenager...... just keep your eyes closed until it's time to flip the record over.

To party was genuine and everybody really had fun, Would love to revisit anybody wanna Come with me? Seriously if I could I would even for a brief time. Bernard is right up there with Sir Paul McCartney & James Jamerson at Motown as one of my all time favorite bass players. What a talent and yes I'm always clapping my hands or tapping my feet whenever I hear his awesome grooves. :)
+T Scott You're probably right about that but I think Paul gets overlooked because he's known primarily for being a prolific songwriter. To the naked ear you know when something sounds amazing. His basslines are like his voice, so incredibly melodic both with the Fab Four & his solo stuff with Wings

Here's a tidbit for you, folks: the intro bass line was actually Bernard's warm-up riffs before Nile heard it in a rehearsal session, and decided to make a song out of it.
All I can say is wow!
One of the best songs of all time, without a doubt
Little did we know how good we had it back then with this music
Just like people today don’t know how good they have it music wise. Life is what u make it

The bass player was sick as fuck!!! That nigga was ahead of the game!!
+queen jayy Bernard Edwards goes hard all the time... One of the best funk bassists not named Larry Graham...
+queen jayy bernard edwards man the nigga was sick
+OperationEndGame the man was cool as fuck too. What a loss.
+queen jayy Can I say nigga too or is that against the rules? Not sure if I can only say it when in conversation with a black person or not. I think I already hear the PC Police pulling up outside.. fuck..
glad I read the comments first ... assumed it was Nile Rodger's. xxx

Puts a smile on your face
Any time, anyplace" yeeeeah :-)
gablen23 You just hit a home run with those comments TRUE DAT! !
Shirley Butler Back then it was "good" music never lets you down. These days it's just not the same as we all know. its mostly noise.
gablen23 that would be dope
Music is supposed to make you feel good
Or like Bob Marley said "the thing about music is, when it hit you, you feel no pain!"
Yes I do...magical era the 70's...deserve a second chance to come back!

The bass line drives the hell out the song!!!!
From the first notes of Nils Rogers on bass are magical and take you to another world..
Bernard Edwards is on bass❤
I am GAME for a trip back in time to the 70's and the 80's which is when I was in the roaring twenties. Miss the music and the type of people from that time. To party was genuine and everybody really had fun, Would love to revisit anybody wanna Come with me? Seriously if I could I would even for a brief time. Especially with what I now know through experience..
Bernard is right up there with Sir Paul McCartney & James Jamerson at Motown as one of my all time favorite bass players. What a talent and yes I'm always clapping my hands or tapping my feet whenever I hear his awesome grooves. :)
Why you mentioning paul McCartney? Bernard and jamerson are leaps and bounds better, they have groove and soul.
+T Scott
You're probably right about that but I think Paul gets overlooked because he's known primarily for being a prolific songwriter. To the naked ear you know when something sounds amazing. His basslines are like his voice, so incredibly melodic both with the Fab Four & his solo stuff with Wings
Shane Anthony true, I'm not denying his talent but I just don't really like his style.
+T Scott Mccartney is another style, as you say...better not to compare... but, have you heard "Arrow right through me", from 1979? It's kinda groovy
+T Scott and also "Goodnight Tonight", from he same album... maybe he listened Chic a lot that year...
One of the greatest groups to ever bless our beautiful planet with their amazing music 🙌🏼
Absolute banger - now this is music! Not the utter crap out there in this day and age! These people had talent! Not autotune and a machine to loop a beat.
Never a truer word spoken....brilliant.
Happy to find new favourite songs still, chic is great!
Loooooove the bass and piano, Wish most music today had more of that funkiness and richness!
I miss this era in my life...I got tears in my eyes. Something tells me that was it...music like this...never again...
Nishata, I understand, don't cry honey. You are VERY LUCKY to have been here, and have been old enough to appreciate this era of sensational music. God bless you sweetie.
Facts!!!
the 70s really was the best time foe music. so lucky to have lived through this time. from led zeppelin to chic, it was fantastic...
Debbie, the 1980's wasn't short-stopping.
The 70’s had some great music. Nothing today even remotely brings such happiness just my opinion
If you are like me and are people of a certain age then only you can appreciate what a very special time we were living through in our teenage years, to have music as good as this we were certainly blessed and we didn't even know it. A track of the highest order from the superb Chic"
What an AMAZING guitar duo in Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards!! Nile is truly a gifted, talented guitarist, song writer, and producer!!!! Bernard RIP!!!
The very best Disco band money could buy. Who's banging in 2020.
