    Thanks. It's great to find a no-nonsense explanation with a ten second introduction. The only way to give a short demonstration is not to advertise the fact. It also helps that the only fills were on the drums.

    I only purchased AD2 in May of this year, the 3Adpak, 3midi, 3kitpiece starter for $149.99.
    Best $149 I've ever spent.
    I should have just purchased the "WHOLE-ENTIRE-EVERYTHING!" deal for $700 or however much it was, as it's only September now and I've since gone back and bought ALMOST every ADpak (17 of 21) and MIDIpak.
    Well worth every cent.

I can load the first wav file but when i drag the second one and the DAW Shows me "make sure that your host is set up to make a copy of dropped rather than jst referencing the dropped file". Once you have your final MIDI drum track, is there an easy way to bounce each track as it's own separate wav file so it can be edited in a different DAW? (eg- Kick track, Snare track etc etc).
    On top of this, can each track be bounced with FX too?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 7 lety +1

      Hi Aloric,
      Yes, you can either solo each kit piece in Addictive Drums 2 and bounce to new tracks.
      Or use the individual outputs of Addictive Drums 2 and route them to separate channels in your DAW. Find out more avbout the last option here: czcams.com/video/L5dxcBxFIWo/video.html

    • @aloricband
      @aloricband Před 7 lety

      The only way I've figured out to keep the FX on there too, is to solo the Track and the Bus, and bring down levels of anything else on that Bus to 0% temporarily, then bounce each track separately. Is this right? Surely there must be an easier way to bounce with FX already on?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 7 lety

      You can get the complete mix of the effects on a separate track in your DAW by routing every channel (including OH, RM and Bus) to indiviual outputs. Then the only thing that's left on the original output should be the effects.
      But if you want to bounce each individual kit piece with effects, the easiest way would probably be to solo the kit piece slot and bounce that to a new track.

You can use the grooves and sounds as they are right out of the box, or change them in any way you like. What you are not allowed to do is to use our software to create loops or single sample hits etc. for sale in sample libraries and similar. Please let me know if you have further questions regarding this.

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před rokem +1

      Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. It can depend on the DAW you are using, some DAWs cache the first instance of the generated WAV file and then that instance is used for the rest of the session. If this is what is happening then try exporting the WAV file to a separate folder in your OS, then import it from there into your DAW and see if it works now. If you are still experiencing issues with this then don't hesitate getting in touch with our support team:

      @@xlnaudio Thank you- in my case I found that in stand alone mode the record function works. If I open it in Logic X (ver. 10.2.4) environment) as a plug-in, I can only drag the last recorded free. So what I did was opened standalone mode, dragged it in the Logic window so I could play to the metronome, then drag the file.
      Next question- I had purchased the Custom Collection as an upgrade from my original Addictive Drums and have the Studio Prog, Rock, and Metal AD packs, with Heavy Rock, Heavy and American Rock MIDI packs. I have the bongos, Djembe, and Sangban kit pieces. How can I purchase other kit pieces like hand claps, rototoms, and other pieces that I see in the drop down lists in the kit UI that I don’t have a licenses for?

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před rokem

      @@extantia Hi, thanks for your reply and thank you for sharing that. Some of the kit pieces are available individually as kit piece paks while others are a part of an ADpak, those that are included in ADpaks can't be purchased separately, if you look in the kit piece library browser, "L"-icon, in AD2 you should be able to see the product source of the kit piece. at the 3 min mark you started dragging the kick and snare in and the file was named addrop_4 and the snare was addrop_5. in studio one or cubase it only keeps the first take only of the kick and when i try to drag in the snare part it just re-imports the kick again with the same name instead of adding the "_12345" at the end.

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi there,
      Thanks for getting in touch.
      This is due to our program creating the recorded file in a temporary location and your DAW references to the same file ever time (instead of copying the file to a new location with a new name when it gets imported). To overcome this in Cubase, try dragging the file to Cubase's Pool Window. Then drag your audio clips from the Pool Window into your project. Each one will be saved with a different name so this overcomes the naming protocol issue.
      In the Studio One "Browser", go to the "Pool", right-click in the "Pool" and choose "Copy External Files."
      This will bring all referenced audio files that particular song needs, into it's "Media Folder". So if a hard drive is removed that had dependent audio files, this would no longer be an issue.
      Try this and let me know how it goes.
      Kind regards,
      Martin Carlén

      Hi there,
      I'm sorry to hear that. Are you trying to drag and drop a MIDI beat or an Audio sample? If you're dragging a MIDI beat, make sure to drop it on a track which has AD2 active. If you don't have AD2 active on the track, it will not generate any sound. If you're dragging an Audio sample, make sure you're dropping it on an audio track.
      You can edit the MIDI notes in the dragged MIDI beat if you want to. It's really easy! Just open up the MIDI file in your DAW/host and move the different notes to your own perfection!

    how change notes..? pls

    • @xlnaudio
      @xlnaudio  Před 3 lety

      Hi, if you want to edit individual notes then that is most easily done through a DAW with a MIDI sequencer, if you want to change what value the notes are assigned to then you can do this in the drum map window under the "?"-menu. If you would have any further questions about this then don't hesitate getting in touch with our support team: www.xlnaudio.com/support
