Trevor May is so professional on the show. He sounds like he's had media training or has been doing this a few years. Good hire FT.
thanks agreed. he's a natural. awesome add to FT and hopefully more TMay!
TMay 💪
Padres should have never signed Xander Bogaerts, that contract is going to be an Albatross for a player they really didn't need.
Yeah, it's a terrible contract.
Cronenworth makes 2 Albatross contracts on one team
Machados extension will be up there with that contract.
TMay is great on the show 👍
Profar hir .295 with the Padres and that’s when the Padres had a great September last year.
After 46 games, to write this team off is a tad premature… much like many of the naysayer’s ejaculations. The Rockies swept the World Champions last week, as well. Two things we need to get better at…pitching performance and, when they do occur, backing up good performances by our starters.
Bad Boy Ben is a good dude
This team is COOKED.
We are so delusional as Padres fans.
It’s a healthy delusion though I do understand it personally , this team should be better than they are and we all know it I don’t care how you slice it ! They are better than this …
@@b-rad3681 Are they though? We have played .500 ball for 2 and a half seasons now. We are who we are. We’d like to think we are better. Ultimately you are who your record says you are. AJ has been here for 10 years and only made playoffs one full season. He’s never won 90 games in a season. Never won the division. Never won a pennant. No WS appearances. Despite all the trades, the contracts, and talk. We have higher season ticket prices the last 3 seasons and it’s the same old Padres.
@@jdsthird Preller needs to go , it’s his fault the Padres are in deep crap financial wise, big contracts to Manny , Tatis , Bogey , Crone zone , Musgrove , Darvish is going to hamstring this team for a long time unless they decide to start eating money
@@b-rad3681 Musgrove, Crone and Tatis are good contracts lmao
Manny's extension, Bogey and Darvish (come age 40) are brutal ones
Trevor May is a good host
facts
Lets go Friars!
Jurickson was the beat two years ago as well.
Manny Machado and Xander Bogaerts have 9.75 years left on their combined 11 year 635M dollar contacts with most of Manny's contract backloaded. They have combined .598 OPS this year while about to be 32 years old. The real question is did they invest in the wrong "superstars" because if they don't produce nothing is happening.
Also Tatis has a Sub .800 OPS since his 2 surgeries and PED suspension, Musgrove is having injury problems again, and they just got swept by the Rockies. This team might be going down a bad path.
Well who signed those guys to those contracts ? Might want to put the blame there
@@b-rad3681 Preller but also probably at the push of the former owner Seidler(RIP). I understand a push a WS but their future might be terrible because of it.
@@b-rad3681 The Arraez trade is still Preller though and im sure if they are probably still in All In mode seeing how they are making trades for big names before the trade deadline. I dont see a path to a WS without trading even more prospects. They might be the future Angels with tons of bad deals.
@@SuperReviews4you agreed ! Padres can’t get themselves out of this either , unfortunately they are stuck with the contacts of Bogey , Machado & Tatis & the other deals like Darvish , Musgrove , Crone zone & so on . There’s no flexibility whatsoever and this is going to be the team for years to come
@@b-rad3681 Yea they are fucked. Honestly they need to win now so bad they should trade all their high profile prospects in blockbuster deals to try and win now because there is no getting out of the terrible future of Bogaerts and Machado,
What happened to the BDE that this organization had after the 2022 season? Hoping for a Wild Card? Good luck with that, 7 playoffs appearances since 1969! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
They got cocky and arrogant, that's what happened. The Padres are not a serious contender, especially with how AJ Preller grinds his whole staff on the field into dust.
This radio host for the Padres. I know it’s his job but he is coping. He is coping right now. It’s gotten to a point where I think the US government should take a look into all the signings because it’s almost as if there’s money laundering going around donations charities everybody knows most of the money for charities and donations don’t go to the actual donation, the Padres are a near criminal disaster.
True.
lmao
Preller is at least entertaining for the game. Baseball needs more GMs that aren't so hesitant
Ignore the dodgers. We need one more starter and should have kept Martinez A long inning reliever.
Trade bogey. Get some of those contacts off the books lol
Ben Saying if the Padres just make the postseason that is a success is very wrong. Darvish, Suarez, Peralta, Machado, Boegarts, Musgrove, and Cronenworth are all 30+. They all have these guys locked up for 4+ years.(Suarez 2 player options in 26/27). The contracts they have expiring in the next 2 years or less are Arraez, Cease, Suarez(PO 26/27), King, Profar, and Kim. They need to win now and like in the next 2 years.
Hi Ben lol
Padres are not that good, they are playing over their head.
Facts
False, I think they’re underperforming. All their stars are underperforming so far.
@@joebats4872 Double negative. The so called stars are washed up. They haven’t been performing for two and half years now. The past 300 plus games (3 years) this team is a few ganes below .500. It’s sad and tragic to see but this is a mediocre team and organization. It’s delusions of grandeur to think otherwise.
Manny macchiato will not be very good in 2024. Look at Max Muncy he hit under 200 the year after he had surgery, it was 3 years later before he could hit.
Shohei also had off-season elbow surgery and is the best hitter in baseball. Manny is who he is, mid
@@isnipestarcmon man Manny is not mid but he has not lived up to the 350 million extension he got , Bogey hasn’t lived up to the 280 million either
There is a reason why the Dodgers didn't sign Machado when he was a free agent. Dude is not a true leader and is a cancer to the club the team reflects on his leadership
The Poodres will always be a poverty franchises. Lmao!!!
The Padres are a 4th place team ..too many severely over priced.220 hitters ..Preller should be fired for the ridiculous Bogaerts contract ..and for extending Manny into his 40s ..two major ‘stars’ ..that are bad now ..and will be worse later ..
Chill, bogaerts came around last season and Machado is coming off a surgery. It’ll take time. They just need to get into the postseason.
