Please stop asking if this works on other models, I simply don't know. Viewers have confirmed it works on iPad 4 as well.
This downgrade also works on the iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3rd generation, the iPod touch 5th generation, and the first iPad mini, however, you have to use different build numbers.

Why I downgrade it already , I put apple id in iOS 8.4.1 it always incorrect password ?
Devices this works on: Iphone 4s, 5, Ipad 2,3,4,mini 1, Ipod touch 5.
Does not work on any other devices due to either not supporting ios 8, or never having shipped with ios 6 or lower.
Some issues you can have:
It says software up to date. Issue: You either entered the version or the build number incorrectly. If jailbreak does not work anymore, you will need to restore your device or update via itunes to the same version, and restart the process.
It spins forever when downloading ios 8.4.1. Issue: You are signed in icloud. Sign out
It gives me a 4 digit passcode instead of a 6 digit passcode. Issue: You put a 6 digit passcode, and since ios 8.4.1 never had a 6 digit passcode option, it stays stuck on a 4 digit option. You need to restore your device or update it via itunes, and restart the process.
Some server based features stopped working, like signing into iMessage or downloading apps. Issue: You did not erase all content and settings after having downgraded to ios 8. To do so, go into settings, general, reset, and reset all contents and settings. Then setup your phone, and everything should work perfectly.
I cannot activate after having downgraded: Usually this is caused since the first time you activated your phone with a sim card, so you should try the same sim card to get into the setup crash state. If it just refuses to work, use 3utools to bypass activation, then reset all contents and settings and try activating again.
Side note: You will lose your jailbreak by doing this. You will need to rejailbreak the device, and i cannot find a method that does not require a computer.
The only video worked for my low end iPhone 5 i can use it as second device now..

Now you can do this without losing data, but it is recommended that you reset the device before using it normally because it still might have some leftovers from iOS 10, this is not confirmed but that's what I always do when I downgrade with this method.

This works best if you do this on a WiFi-only device like an iPad 2 or iPod Touch 5.

Don’t think it will work with 5c because it never shipped with iOS 6. This method tricks the phone that you are on iOS 6 and you need to put in a build number for the software. Since 5c never came with iOS 6 there is no way to get a build number to trick the phone it is actually on iOS 6. If u want to try using iPhone 5 build number feel free. I would advise not getting your hopes up though because it almost certainly won’t work.

I was finally able to get it working by using a original carrier SIM card during activation

After I did this my iPhone 5 needed to be activated again and it keeps failing...
Edit: After screwing with my Sim card while it tried to activate it let me in with a black screen and half the storage which was solved after erasing everything, and I could only JB after erasing everything
same here for the sim card part, its glitchy but for me that glitchyness causes my phone to lag extremely hard to the point its unusable. only on ios 8. did this happen to u?

Well actually I only used iOS 8 for a couple minutes (but it seemed fine) to use coolbooter to go back to iOS 6
@@SK91NO ive tried basically everything, including my iphone 5c, which wont even get past the activition phase in setup. something with the iphone 5 and ios 8 sim card activation is fishy although i have my own specific problems ig. ill keep trying to find a solution tho thx for the reply and im glad it works for u!
The laggy part was the same for me. I did it on iPhone 5 (two of them) and I can get it to work fine after some complications but if I restart then it goes back to buggy again. After it gets buggy the second time I have to restart from iOS 10 from a 3utools flash from dfu mode. For some reason iTunes restore wouldn’t work for me. But yeah. This is basically tethered if you can even get it to work the first time.
The activation part did the same for me as well with my iPhone 5 (both of them) The way I got it to work was to use 3utools and do a setup bypass/ activated the phone. After this go into settings and reset the phone completely via the erase all content and settings button. You may have extra difficulty if you have find my iPhone on. Also if you have an iPhone 5 do not restart the phone or it gets super laggy and bricks itself. It happened on 2 different phones so I am confident it is the software.

Use n1ghtshade and download an ipsw for it you must have a Mac or a hackintosh
Not possible unless you have shsh blobs saved or you use a dual booter such as coolbooter. If you have an untethered jailbreak you can untether the dualbooted iOS as well.

Yes but don’t even bother with an iPhone 5. You can get iOS 8 then there is some activation error and I can get past that but even after that it gets SUPER laggy if you restart the phone even once. It basically bricks itself and I couldn’t restore it from iTunes so I had to flash it with 3utools. Don’t try with iPhone 5 unless you are prepared to lose that phone. If do try then good luck not getting it to lag.

That’s iPhone 5s it doesn’t work on that which there is a way to downgrade it to iOS 10.3.3
you have to use iOS OTA Downgrader on a mac or linux for downgrading an iPhone 5s or iPad Air/Mini 2. For the iPhone 6/iPod 6/iPad Mini 3 there is nothing you can do unless you have blobs.
